To me, the clack skull is the most iconic sculpt in the hobby. The design is simple and elegant, and I can't get enough of it. Also wanted to try and capture a color accurate photo for this guy

They never really did it for me, but I do agree they are iconic and instantly grab your attention, especially depending on the color(s). What I do really appreciate about them is that the colors are picked to go with keysets. Even if they're not matched to a color in the actual keyset, the blend and tone of the color go well with a keyset if it carries the same muted or bright scheme.
I've only ever handled Topre and buckling spring iterations and found that the Topre version carried with it a very nice scoop at the top so as both to match the profile of the rest of the row as well as cusp the finger if you're actually using it. So it's actually useful as a key and aesthetically pleasing as an art piece.
Such odd realizations for such a simple design.
