confirmed brown cherry keyboards?
« on: Mon, 24 March 2008, 16:39:46 »
Is the filco still the only readily available brown cherry keyboard that we know of from http://benippon.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=12735 ?

I'm getting a decent tax return so I figured I might as well stimulate the Japanese/Chinese economy O_o.

Well I ordered a Raptor K1 today so I'll let you know whether it comes with brown, black or blue cherries. It has been sighted with brown cherries before, although in most pictures it's got blacks.

Other than that there's the Cherry G80-3000LQCEU-0 which is brown cherries ('soft') according to their PDF. It's a US with Euro Symbol layout. Also availible in German and Swiss layouts. Seems to be pretty readily availible in Europe, a quick search shows a couple of german shops that seem to have them in stock.

EDIT: Also, http://www.ergocanada.com lists the Kinesis countoured range and the discontinued DSI left-handed keyboard as having 'Cherry low-force tactile' switches which sounds like the browns.
Owned: Raptor-Gaming K1 (linear MX)(Broken), IBM Model M UK, Dell AT102W, Left-handed keyboard with Type 1 Simplified Alps.
