I'm sorry I missed this.  I'll be trying for one of the extras, but I'm guessing they'll sell out in seconds.  I hope you're willing to do another round.  It sure seems like the demand is there, given how many people are reading this thread.  I'll second the suggestion someone else made for offering the entire case in brass.  One other finish you might want to consider for brass parts is silver plating.  I'm not sure exactly what the composition of the silver plating used on brass musical instruments is (it doesn't tarnish as much as I'd expect if it were pure silver), but it's as pretty as brass gets.  If you wanted to make the weight even heavier, a tungsten weight would probably make for a surprisingly unmovable keyboard.

Tungsten weights were brought up in the unrelated Duck BlackBird/Orion weight group buy.  I believe that the cost ended up being between $800-$900, and I think none ended up being ordered.  Tungsten would be ridiculously cool, but unjustifiably cost prohibitive.

This reminds me of the time I looked into iridium wedding bands. I wanted something denser than platinum, but one modest iridium ring cost as much as a car!

It should be in your hands in the USA by mid-late June. I plan on pumping these out as fast as I can. A few cups of green milk tea should do.

Still on track for mid-late June?

Hi everyone,

The shipment should be clearing customs soon, and then going to a forwarding company for temporary storage, then final forwarding to Keyclack HQ.

Looks like we're almost there. I expect it to arrive this week, or early next. The paper work is a tad more troublesome then expected, but we're almost there  :thumb:

Cheers.

edit -
In other news, Rama and I have discussed a Round2, and we're currently talking over finishes, and colors. Not sure when however. There's still a few other things in the back burner :)

I'ma just leave this here:

The one thing that I'm still missing is a keyboard with an enamel ceramic white finish. Smooth cold and glossy.

That's what I was going for with the R1 norbauer case, but powdercoat is so hard to do perfectly, especially when there are any kind of seams.  I ended up sending it back for silver anodized.

Many of the new customs are coming with a micro arc oxidation finish to achieve white aluminum, but the surface isn't truly smooth.

The good news is that Ryan is currently working on a Realforce case made of white corian!  It should be super smooth and bright white. IC link https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=89451.msg2420520#msg2420520

And will it be shipped within US via USPS or some other carrier?

If you ordered through me, check the invoice. It states the shipping that will be used.

I believe all Asia orders are DHL, but don't quote me.

I remember seeing a mention of split spacebar compatibility with this PCB, but just wanted to clarify.
Can someone confirm if this is T/F?
If it is true, what bottom row configurations would fit?
