I know it's been mentioned and already acknowledged by janglad, but just tossing in another vote for split space bar love in any/all colors from this set (2.25/2.75 for me personally, but would definitely support a larger kit to help everyone get the size they need).

Yeah working on redoing the kit design right now. Just can't stop from thinking what would happen if we have say 160 basekit orders and 60 "extra" kit orders. This would mean the extra kit would fail, making say 20 people drop out of the base kit too. Of course buying 10 extra sets isn't an issue, but you get what I'm saying.

Do you think it would be fair to say that people can't drop out of the basekit because of a failed extras kit? With something like an international kit I would be very much against this but with this I don't really know since it doesn't add any compatibility.

Well I don't know, worth thinking about. I just really want to see this set succeed

Spacebars will be sold separately with some extra accents for the F keys (at least that's the idea now). Extras kit would have icon mods.

The big appeal with a big modifier kit with yuri was that you could buy acryllic alphas and complement with mod kit (icon).

Agreed. My only argument for the complete icon mods here is that I prefer the uniform look of having those in the bottom row too rather than as is - plus the moulds already exist so they'd be pretty cheap probably.

Would a singular kit with just those icons struggle to hit MOQ? For sure. Maybe with a couple other things in the bundle but maybe it's more hassle than it's worth. Hard to gauge interest.

Why not run a base kit + a color accent pack? The base kit could be icon black on beige, with the accent pack consisting of any colored keys in both Icon + Text version for maximum compatibility.

9009 is only really special because of the few pastel colored keys. There are tons of black on beige Cherry GMK sets (KA 1957, Classic Retro, etc). An accent pack would allow all of those, as well as any OG Cherry sets to be turned into a 9009 set.

I really like what he said earlier about spacebar + accents in it.

Ideal accent pack would be: color: spacebar + f5-f8 + arrows  (all red+green)

I would want one of each!  I like icon for the classic look, but then I like text mods for the better spacing on the larger keys.

Its simple. This is actually not about 9009 set but more about classic beige set. You have higher chances these days to get any "fancy" set than classic ones. In this regard this is definitely the opportunity to make this happen. And the extra matching accent keys of 9009 are ncie addition. Demand is definitely there.

Strongly disagree. Its definitely a subjective thing about icon mods. 9009 is more about classic beige with nice accents.

As you all can see i am voting/call here for both version of mods because whole community is like 50/50 about only icon and icon+mods modifiers. Its all subjective but calling one of the version being superior to another is wrong. 150 moq with the latest hype of 9009 is pretty easily reached.

I actually agree - I'm almost certain even outside of MD both kits would tip given how popular/hyped up 9009 is.

You do not get it because you are in Germany, HAD sets come standard as you described, ANSI sets come with text + icon mods. I like more the HAD style, personally, but it is not common usage here.

I just contacted him and shipping to Canada would be possible for sure but might end up costing $20-30. We could look into setting up a proxy but I really don't know if it's going to be worth it :/

Also not a big fan of the modern Windows logo but I could live with that.

Exactly (but with purse caps). For those who want text, or text+icon => there is other sets to buy. This one is so rare, and changing the modifiers move this set away from what 9009 is.
