Removing legends
« on: Sun, 03 December 2017, 16:11:01 »
What’s the easiest way to remove printed legends? I know I could buy blanks, but I’ve got a couple sets of printed caps I’m not using and I’d like to use the modifiers, but they wouldn’t be “correct”.

Pad Printed? If so, it might be as easy as scratching them off.

Combination of pad-printed and front-printed sets.  I'll try the alcohol before the scratching :)

I saw something about alcohol having the potential to ruin caps. Is that only with really high percentages?

Alcohol does funny things to acrylics but i think more ABS type stuff should be ok. I also remember someone posting up a set of Realforce black caps that got kinda faded from alcohol?

Best bet would be to grab an esc key or something easily replaceable and test it out there first.
