According to the diagram, I just need Sw4 off for it to function as Windows.. But it's not! :/
When changing dip switches the keyboard must be disconnected change settings then reconnected for new settings to take effect.

Did you try having SW 1 AND SW 2 on? I know it has a "-" there, but all my HHKBs work right with them both on.

It's been a while since I posted pics of my setup - here it is. Nothing new though just a little more crowded since I really needed native Ubuntu box to test vagrant deployments so I installed it on my old trusty MBP 2010 :)
Only new addition is Filco wrist rest which just came in today.
The keyboard is my daily driver for last few months and it will stay so until I get working Ergodox (or longer if I don't like it eventually).
It's Filco Metallic Blue with MX Blues and blank black think PBT keycaps from eBay.

Sorry about the noise in the picture. Still refuse to buy a new camera.

Are you sure there's enough room under the desk for your feet, what with that subwoofer ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Subwoofer > leg room. It's all about priorities.

I do have 18 inches of leg room though, so I think I'll be good. Plus, when in doubt use your sub as a foot rest.

Thanks! I just picked up a shelf from Ikea, the black Ekby. It had no places to mount feet on it as it's meant to be mounted on a wall, but I was sure I could find some generic furniture feet for it, which I did. But since it had no places to actually screw the feet it, I just used some heavy duty double sided foam tape (the red 3M stuff) on the feet and stuck them on. That stuff is amazingly secure, so it's not going anywhere.

Is that one of those Tex Poker cases?
How is it?

Yes it is the tex poker case
I can't compare to other aluminium case since it's my first one.
Compared to the stock poker case, it feels like it's an entirely new keyboard, it's really solid now, with quite a bit of weight.

A couple of shots of my standup desk! I don't have multiples - that extra screen on the left is for the temporary computer under it that is for testing. I find one 27" screen is more than enough. I have a similar setup at work, with the 27" monitor and M8 arm, but with an adjustable standup.

Looks very neat and comfortable, I like it. Also the new wall color seemed to have opened the place up a lot.

I don't usually stand all day - my home desk only sees 3-4 hours at a time. My desk at work adjusts between sit and stand so I don't stand all day there either. More about keeping the body positions varied than always standing for me.  :thumb:

Sorry for the photo quality, but here's my station :) Built the PC in March and have been slowly adding to it. I had all these grand plans for exciting keycaps for both the tenkeypad and the HHKB, but I actually like how it is now. Clean and ready for work.

It's an FK! I love it. I've tried lots of mice, and this is hands down my favorite I've ever used. I had a Sensei Raw and liked the form factor, but the drivers kept crashing my computer. Still have no idea why, and SteelSeries wasn't extremely helpful about it. Anyway, this feels like the Sensei in my hand, while having an optical sensor and no drivers! Plus I love the yellow on black  :thumb:

I feel like I'm a hybrid lol...I've used a Deathadder and palmed it just fine. With the FK, I'm sort of in between. I basically claw it but the bottom end is long and sloped so nicely that my palm can rest on it.

From what I've read, most people prefer the FK to the AM. I'd love to try an EVO at one point just for fun, but I'm so happy with my FK that I really feel no need....

Don't know what model, they're AOC brand (never really heard of them) but they were like $350 for both of them. Not bad for 23" IPS LED monitors.

Also since everyone asks, the Hello Kitty is my webcam. There's a camera on the nose.

I've heard of AOC, we have a few of them in our office. Pretty good monitors, especially for their price.

Why does it need explanation?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Better viewing angles, better color reproduction.

Also higher resolution. TN usually stops at 1080.
