Added the Penumbra key cap set to my Poker X today, so I felt compelled to take a picture of my setup since the key caps are designed to match the color palette on the screen. Unfortunately, due to my poor lighting, it's hard to see the way they match (mostly).

I wasn't expecting a perfect match or anything, but I love, love, LOVE this key cap set. It's the perfect compliment to my work environment.

Yes... yes, it is. It is very much so... Beautiful, mang. That keyboard is the finishing touch.

Current workstation. I've got no more room for speakers.  :(

Nice. That is a sweet setup. Unfortunately I can't add more than one screen to my Mac and still have a wired connection. My least favorite thing about my Mac. :(

How is the cooling for the ITX setup in that Ikea shelf?  I am planning on doing something similar with mine, but am a little worried about the cooling with the exhaust running to the rear.

The open sides on the Ikea Ullrik help with cooling. I don't game at all so I built a modest ITX with a IB i5, 2 SSD and a AMD 7750 powered by Seasonic. Fits in the Ullrik perfectly.

Thanks. Monitors are linked with DisplayPort MST. If I remember correctly, Thunderbolt Macs can daisy chain as well.

Whats the point of having 3 monitors if you mirror them all.  :P
Yeah, that was just done quick for the photo. I usually work/play on the centre screen, and on the outside ones I have additional browser windows, or iPlayer, or some add-on for whatever game I'm playing. A few games I span across all three screens.
I love that mouse,
It's a Roccat Kone XTD. One of the features I love about it the most is the changeable RGB lighting.
It looks lonely, it could use a mousepad.
I don't really like mouse mats to be honest. I find that I'm always managing to move the mouse right to very edge and then I need to pick the mouse up and move it back to the middle or readjust the pad position. Much easier to just use the desk where I've no edges to worry about :)

Don't know why, but the font on the keycaps does let me think about Lisp somehow..

Massdrop has been having drops on various artisan mousepads for the past month or so. I picked one up and it's great. I bought the medium sized pad and I find it to be of a substantial size, although a large size is also offered.

Guess what guys. There has been a big blue building under construction on the south side of the city for a while. Now they have a huge IKEA sign up and I hope that they will finish soon. That should help with revamping the room :)

If my experience is anything to go by, desks in dorms aren't all that great. On mine I fit two keyboards, two monitors, a mouse, and not much else. Since this is the pictures thread, let me see if I can find a picture of it.

My first year at Uni I was in halls and my desk was tiny and fitted to the wall with no gap between it and the wall, so all the cables had to run off the front... 2nd year though I lived in a house with some buddies and had a HUGE ikea desk... Was great!

Don't mind the messy cables. Routing everything properly and neat would take far too long. I'll probably block it out or something at some point.

Some of these postings everyone is doing is quite inspiring. When I eventually move, gonna have to definitely re-think my setups. You guys rock.

Here's my desk setup at home. My old layout that I changed just recently just had both monitors side by side but I decided to make some more room on my right when I got that stand. The 2nd desk is basically for just soldering purposes.

Very nice clean setup :)

Shame no-one makes monitor with white bezel.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Ugh this make me  miss my stereo. And my records.
