Milkyway Alpenglow is finally here!!!

Milkyway Alpenglow is a CHERRY profile keycap set. It utilizes both dye-sub, and reverse dye sub for the keycaps.

Milkyway Alpenglow was inspired by a spring break trip I had with friends. They offered to take me a on weekday camping trip to cheer me up when I wasn't
doing so well. This set was in honor of the sights I saw during that trip.

I’m really liking this. Hope milky way can pull through. Those dark alphas are :thumb:

Edit: Just saw the option in the IC. Please add the mod only option so I don’t have to spend more on the light alphas. :D

I get the idea behind allowing 40s users to buy just alt alphas + 40s mods to have compatibility but it ends up being pretty punitive for users that want the light alphas, who would need base + 40s + spacebars to have compatibility and then end up with a ton of extra keys, just to use the primary colorway.

Also please add a second 3u for both colorways.

I'm curious if we could do two base sets: light and dark. Or separate base mods from alphas entirely?

That has been a popular request! That will probably be happening, I will just need to edit some more kitting. Will be adding that to the 40's kit!

Dye-sub with Milkyway will probably mean the base kit is around 95$ or less!

ADORE this colour scheme. the whole set works amazingly with the Aperture board in the renders, it's exactly that aesthetic.

might just be me, but some of the novelties look a bit strange? they just don't seem to fit with the rest of it and it's unclear what some of them are meant to be, e.g. the one that looks like a meteor

Have you tried using Pantone 2098U (the bottom row purple) the the legends on the cloud alphas? I kinda feel like that would have tied the whole set together more.

Sorry to announce but the GB date has been pushed back until Alpenglow can receive color samples. MW is late on samples due to the holiday rush and other issues. MW Alpenglow will not run until there are sufficient color samples, as per MW request.

I feel like Regulus(the bottom right star in Leo) on the Constellation deskmat should be brighter, since it's the brightest star in the constellation Leo and one of the brightest stars in the night sky. Otherwise I really love this set and can't wait for the GB.

I have, but it wouldnt fit the theme, the black alphas were for the incoming night to show the transtion from light to dark, and the the dark alphas is a progressed version with the pink legends for stars and the coming of midnight. If you are also interested, I used really light mod colors in the end of the gradient to show how the light fades into the sky as it gets brighter!

GB Date is confirmed, and I have obtained samples. GB is set to be Febuary 8th. Pricing should be finished tomorrow, just waiting on a some vendors to post prices.
