Thanks to my successful keyboard builds and modifications, I now have the confidence to go ahead with this project. Last night, I was able to get over half of it done and would love to hear some feedback from those of you with soldering experience and/or Bottlehead DIY kits. Anyways, here she is.

Nice job man! I just built my own a few months ago! Did you paint your transformer housing bell end?

They are very well done, Easy to build, the manuals are superb. You can finish them in whatever color combo you wish, It took me a weekend to put my crack+speedball together, it was all very worth it. The experience is an enjoyable one, just follow the manual and you'll be good to go.

I just saw your post in the headphone thread! Definitely deserve props for making your own Bottlehead Crack. I cheaped out and went with a Schiit Asgard 2. They weren't kidding when they said those heat up!

Awesome! I'm actually in the reverse position - built my Bottlehead Crack about a year ago and now I'm actually looking to build a 60 / 65% kit..... Now if only I could source a Whitefox kit.
