Thanks dorkvader! I may end up ordering some shorter right shifts to complete the set and a matching spacebar for the wyse keycaps buy SP charge 50$ for a single spacebar...

Dox, what space bar are you looking for?  What keyboard/caps?  I have a couple Cherry spacebars in several lengths, both black and beige.
Filco Majestouch-2 with Cherry Corp. doubleshot keys - Leopold Tenkeyless Tactile Force with Wyse doubleshots - Silicon Graphics 9500900 - WASD V1 - IBM Model M 52G9658 - Noppoo Choc Pro with Cherry lasered PBT keycaps - Wyse 900866-01 - Cherry G80-8200LPBUS/07 - Dell AT101W - several Cherry G81s (future doubleshot donors) (order of current preference) (dang I have too many keyboards, I really only need two)

I'm looking for a space bar that is 6.25 unit wide (same length as Filco) in a light gray color like the wyse keycaps. I don't think that there is any cherry board with this color. Thanks for the offer.

oh, yeah, that's going to be hard.  Maybe dye a beige cherry one, then glue the missing stem in?  that's my best idea.

Just swapped in the Dolch number row as well.  I thought it looked kind of weird before.  Just realized that it was because the number row was missing.  And now, featuring Creeper!

Now that I have the new Realforce 87U Anniversary edition coming from Korea, I am thinking that the gray/blue combo on that 87U could look pretty good on a black Filco.  Maybe we need a group buy for this keycap set for Filco.

Yeah in fact the keycaps doesn't reflect the layout perfectly. I use basically the same layout as the HHKB with more buttons on the bottom row and hasu's frimware to get some mouse keys on some function layer.

It's a doxKb, see the link in my sig for more details. I do this with a teensy controller on my custom keyboard.

Thanks; it needs some different keys on it like the SC2 mods and esc keys and maybe a different couple of doubleshots here and there but other than that I am happy with the checkerboarding theme; came out exactly how I wanted it to.

WYSE keycaps on my WASD.

Some irregularities:
On the WYSE, escape is next to 1, and `~ is next to the spacebar. Escape is a little off, and the `~ certainly is.

LIkewise, the backspace isn't long enough. I took another key.

The WYSE has an extra key on the numpad area, so the only vertical key is enter. I took another 2-unit key and put it on vertically. It's a little "flatter" than backspace, and works out well.

The WYSE has function 1-16. Since I never use Printscreen, scroll lock, or pause (and I know where they are when I need them) I kept with the originals, and added the extra function keys. Looks nice.

I can replace some more of the keys with others, but they don't match well. I rather like the look. I have enough to replace the insert, home, page up, delete, end, page down cluster, but not all the same height.

Also, I kept the original WYSE keys for numlock, /,*,and -. I think they look nicer, and I pretty much only use the tenkey for typing numbers.

Problem is, it's QWERTY. I plan to use it for gaming, or take it to work.

The arrow keys are excellent.

WYSE keycaps are a lot shorter than the normal WASD ones. These are doubleshot, but not the Full doubleshot you get on older WYSE boards. They are thinner than my WASD keys, often.

They are also yellow. I have some Hydrogen peroxide that's bleaching the THICK WYSE ones I have, but it's taking ages. (It started out as 3%, and was boiled down to about 9%). This's up next.

Also, the spacebar is a full 7.25 inches, or 18.5 cm. It's like 10.3 units or something. I've got the end in the peroxide to see what the effects are, and act as a stir rod.

---

Sorry for cellphone pictures, it looks a lot sharper in real life. I really like the blue font on grey body doubleshots, though. And those arrow keys, MAN.

Glad to see you got your arrow keys. :)  I had one of these arrive today as well.  The caps were filthy though.  They're not coming near my fancy keyboards until they've been sanitized.

They look great on your WASD!

Yeah, the other, yellower ones are getting that now. I read all those when I went out shopping. That's why I boiled off the water to increase the concentration of the H2O2. I also got liquid oxyclean accidentally, but I added some anyway.

liquid OxyClean might be better.  I got some patches on some keys from my second batch.  I think they were caused by un-desolved OxyClean.

Thanks Playtrumpet! I rather like it too.

I think it'll be better when the super thick ones get done Retr0brite-ing.

This works out, as I use the board mainly at my non-work computer (there's something about buckling springs that sets a "working" mood) and Since it's QWERTY, that helps when typing in things while gaming.

My friend from Novosibirsk Russia sent them to me. He found them on some old speccy clone computer that was gathering dust and convinced the shop owner to sell just the keycaps. He initially made it sound like tripleshots, but they are still pretty nice in spite of the molds being rough. Some of the edges around the sides are a little lumpy. Still for $10 they are pretty outstanding since things like this are pretty hard to source. They took a long time to arrive, were sent out to me on 13 August and I just got them Saturday. Russia post is so slow
