Me playin with a Surface. Terribad keyboard btw.

Moose in his majesty.

We found some popcorn too.

I can't stop thinking of cannibalism now.

Is the keyboard really that bad? I wonder how it compares to my Transformer.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. You were chopping wood ... naked?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

that and to not even put training wheels on in the first place.  When my brother took the training wheels off his son's bike he wouldn't touch it for a full year.  And that is no exaggeration.

This. My first child (daughter) used training wheels for a long time.

When my son came along, we started with training wheels and it was not going anywhere. Then I read about taking off both training wheels and pedals, and allowing him to practice in a flat parking lot with just feet. He quickly learned balance and propulsion, and when I put the pedals back on, he knew just what to do.

I strongly recommend the "no pedals" technique to new parents.
Cognitive distortions are patterns of thought, typically automatic and unconscious, that cause an inaccurate, negative view of situations, people, and/or events. These include things like jumping to conclusions; black-and-white thinking; negative mental filtering; overgeneralizing; mindreading (incorrectly believing we know what others are thinking, what their motives are); and emotional reasoning (believing that if we are feeling something, or if what we are thinking is associated with a strong emotion, it must be true).

unreal dog above

also unreal posture

and unreal beer

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

This is me and a sloth. You'll have to guess who is who.

Taken in Panama a few years ago. This little fella was just hanging out on a tree on the side of the road.

I think people are drawn to sloths, because it's the one animal that commits one of the 7 deadly sin, and Gets away with it..
