Title: subforum for in-person meetups
Post by: jacobolus on Mon, 18 January 2016, 02:05:15
Right now these threads seem to get dumped in "off topic", but that doesn’t seem to be a good place for them, as that subforum is almost entirely ****posts and idle banter, and the topics scroll off the front page pretty fast there. In a separate subforum it would be a lot easier to get a quick overview of where in the world people are meeting.

I agree, maybe have a section for meetups with subforums for more formal meetups such keycons and another for smaller personal meetups.

In days gone past these would be in off topic, and would be stickied until after the event.

FTFY

A separate subforum would probably be a good idea though.  We have reached the point where meetups are a semi-regular occurrence, and I think it's warranted.
