Update time!!
Thank you all for a fantastic weekend of feedback, I seriously appreciate all of you! I'm super optimistic about this set so far, and wanna make sure to keep riding it by being transparent with changes and taking in feedback. Please let me know if you have any questions, requests, etc by filling out the IC form!
The base kit has already been edited to reflect changes made to the homing keys, and now the 1u "SUPER" key has been replace with an additional 1u "SHIFT" key. I felt there was enough requests for this in the IC form, and there are already enough FN-like 1u keys to fill most layouts. The main post has been updated with this change as that should not affect pricing.
Going to be getting quotes for this updated 60's kit:All that has changed is the addition of a 6u bar (I should have done this initially for HHKB peeps in general, that's my bad), an ISO key (I felt there was enough interest for UK ISO that there should be at least physical compatibility for them) and an addition of a tilde key (the tilde/pipe question on the ic form was 50/50, which leads me to believe that both is the better option).
You may remember the updated 60's kit I included in the IC form with the calc keys, but I felt there was little (literally 0) mentions of including calc keys in the ic form, so those were scratched.
Here are some reasonings to requests I saw on the IC form:Unfortunately SP only offers 6u, 6.25u, 7u, and I believe 8u convex bars for DSA. If this were possible, it would be happening.
I wanted to make sure some other layouts were getting the proper bars they needed, there's been a recent surge in boards using 1.75u (I'm using one right now) and I didn't want to bloat the kit with tons of bars. I feel Corne layouts and the like work very well with 1u bars anyways, as they physically fit.
This one is rough. I feel if I included one alternate homing set, I would have to include them all, which would be an additional 6+ keys. I think that is a bit too many to be adding to the base kit, doesn't belong in the 60s kit, and any alternate kits aside from those two would be initially very pricy. I'm sorry, but this likely isn't happening. I hope the inclusion of non-homing keys will suffice.
There are no plans to include novelties/extra fancy keys other than the red accents. Wanted to keep this really simple and grounded with as little kits and extra keys as possible.
no dn key waffle u wanker
Thank you all again! I'll make sure to post another update when the quotes for the 60's kit comes back, shouldn't see too drastic as a price hike.
And if you haven't filled out the IC form, please do so
here!!
