[Software] NerDy GUI for NerD Controller
« on: Wed, 30 July 2014, 23:46:43 »
Hi,

Now the most advanced and easy to use GUI has been released.
NerDy GUI

Here are video manuals for it. ;)

You can see how gorgeous it is!

Video Manual for NerDy GUI #1 - Layout Configuration

Video Manual for NerDy GUI #2 - Keymap Configuration

Video Manual for NerDy GUI #3 - LEDs Configuration

Video Manual for NerDy GUI #4.1. - Macro Record&Recall

Video Manual for NerDy GUI #4.2. - Macro Management

Even though I have made/assembled/tuned HUNDREDs of keyboards for others, I myself don't have a full-tuned Custom Keyboard now.
So Ironical!

Would like to ask - I am trying to configure the Side LED such that if I press Fn-Scroll Lock once, it turn it on. And if I press Fn-Scroll Lock another time, it turn off. I just wanted a On/Off state. But the current state is that it cycles across four state - Key Lock, Fn, Dedicated, Always Off. Is there no way to make it two state only?

Anyone with experience in Nerdy GUI? Care to explain what these 4 choices really do?

take this with a grain of salt I am only guessing.. but I think it has to do with the led's activation on certain key's. Like if you enabled the cap lock's key button. Then it would cause the LED on the programmed key to turn off and on depending on the state of the caps lock key.

I have a NerD board and thats what figured it was for but never tested it directly.

It is for how you want the side led react.

ex : when select -> Keylock to CAPSLOCK, when capslock is on, the side leds are on.
etc...

Side LEDs are the ones installed at the back of the PCB, top and bottom rows. The options allow to select if they will turn off/on along with Caps Lock, FN or if they will be always on.
