For anyone unsure as to why LZ lost his vendor forum in the first place, check out this thread (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=57897.0). TL;DR LZ used to be part of a collective (Team RedLine, with GirlDC and DrugER). DrugER ran a group buy (DSA Dolch), collected funds, then bailed with all the money. All members of the group were disallowed from conducting business on geekhack. The mod team has discussed this group buy and feels that LZ and GirlDC were wrongly punished for DrugER's actions, hence the approval here.
LZ has since run multiple successful group buys outside of GH.

AFAIK, Elton doesn't actually physically receive the boards from Duck. All of mine have shipped straight from Korea.

He is absolutely and completely trustworthy as far as I'm concerned. He has completed just as many group buys as elton has, and has done so smoothly.

It is essentially a TKL with a left side numpad, so you get the benefits of the smaller keyboard footprint in the middle, which personally is a lot more comfortable for me as I get to position my mouse closer (such as with any TKL or smaller layouts), yet retaining a numpad for crunching a lot of numbers.
Another benefit I've discovered is that having a left-side numpad lets you operate the mouse or arrow keys, and press Enter with the left hand, which is convenient for certain things. ;)
Only thing I might add is that you are going to have to train your left hand to numpad, but I don't think it's a problem. :)
Definitely join this GB if you want a solid work battlestation keyboard, as it's a neat and rare layout, and there just might not be another one like it. Hope this helps.

Wall-of-text guide for LZ RV
Top case: simple, you pick the top case colour and how many.
Bot case: same as above, so basically you can mix and match colours.
Notes: I've seen all these colours in person.
Blue - really nice deep electric blue.
Silver - really nice shiny silver, great sheen, and bright. :)
Metal-gray - This is 100% gunmetal grey. You can't go wrong with this colour.
Black - Pure black, it's a very nice base colour, works with almost all keysets just like Metal-gray.
Plates: You get the choice of Alu for Aluminum or STS for Stainless Steel.
Notes: Alu is very nice for tactile or clicky switches. It's a lot more flexible than steel, which is a GREAT thing. It gives you that really comfortable bouncey-soft-cushioning feel with tactile/clicky switches.
You could also use Alu plate for linear switches with very light springs for bottoming out, and it'd be a really nice "typing on clouds" clacking experience. It's really personal preference, but I'll try to describe the differences.
Steel is a no-brainer for linear switches. For linear switches, you want to eliminate as much flex and wobble as you can for the smoothest feeling. You could also use steel for tactile or clicky switches, but I found that the lack of flex made it feel a little harsh when bottoming out (fingers get "shocked" and hurt a little over time), just my personal preference.
Finish wise, steel would be cleanly cut and lightly finished, and aluminum will be anodized silver, usually.
PCB - you get a choice of quantity, and they come default with a USB Mini connector. Micro is an option, but you have to make a note. Personally prefer Mini, because it's more widely used, and compatible, also easy to plug in without looking at it.
RGB LED / SMD (extra cost, should be below in "additional options") - These are surface mounted RGB LEDs that are to be soldered on the bottom (side) of the PCB, facing the desk. (Additional cost, but it's a really nice effect with the acrylic plate insert).
Additional options:
You get 1 of each option above in the base price of the GB, but if you wanted additional plates or PCBs, or even keyboard assembly parts, this would be the place to order it.
Additional plate - self-explanatory
Additional PCB - same as above
Additional RGB LEDs (SMD type) - I believe you get enough for 1 PCB with a set of 20.
Diodes (SMD type) and Resistors (SMD type) - Usually the PCB does not come with these, and you'd want to order them.
Switch film - These are thin non-sticky films that go between the top and bottom switch housing, similar to switch stickers, but better since they do not attract dust.
Cherry stabilizers - your choice of 6.25x or 7x set
Acrylic plates - This requires a bit of explanation.
The acrylic plates are usually sandwiched between the TOP and BOT case housing, to allow the RGB LED lights on the bottom of the PCB to shine through. You could order RGB LEDs, but without the acrylic plate, the effect will be lost. The plate is a must have if you're going with the RGB LED route. :)
Workshop assembling commission - This is basically an assembly option for your keyboard, the whole thing. There is no set package or price, and you will have to comment on what exactly you want soldered, such as, Assemble: 1x PCB with MX blues (you would have to buy or send some switches over), in Winkeyless, soldering for switches, diodes, resistors, switch LEDs, back SMD RGB LEDs, etc etc. You could also specify switch tuning, be specific, if you want switch films, lube, spring swap, etc. Of course, the price varies, so it could get expensive, but is a very convenient option, as LZ does good work. :thumb:

Before I say anything else, I want to mention that I understand where you are coming from, and that I have also been burned by Kin25, but this is not one of those GBs.
I have gotten keyboards from LZ in the past few months, as well as many other people. LZ and Leeku are both outstanding members of the keyboard community, and have constantly provided us with nothing but their best contribution over the years.
Just wanted to clear things up as someone who understands where you're coming from. LZ is 100% reputable and trustworthy.

Well Octagon v2 is in the pipeline, as well as enjoyPBT sets, some HPK single caps (a lot of those). White fox on massdrop... oh and that double legend granite set on Massdrop (for60% or less layout), that one's dope!

The date/timeline listed is for the time that the order forms will be open. Invoices will be sent out after the ordering period, and you will have a bit of time to pay that.
Just make sure you place an order through the order page first to secure your order. :)

LZ-CP has been run since and a few small buys...
LZ probably would not have even opened this buy back on GH if we did not push him to, but he's definitely my favorite keyboard designer after talking to him.

I have just spoken with LZ, and he will extend the English GB form for ~12 more hours!
Supposedly the deadline to order is 01/27 in Korea time which is ahead of North America, but no problem, hopefully this will allow people who wanted to place a last minute order to do so now.

I actually placed an order the thread the GB started, I was 100% in but other opportunities for boards that I've been trying to get for awhile came up. I'll try my best to make it, I hate to be that guy that backs out. I may have to sell some keysets or something.

Sorry I want to clarify, I meant if you were in Korea, you'd pay in KRW, but international orders must be made with the English form, unless you have a proxy in Korea to send it for you. That makes it easier.

Just got back from a very nasty exam. I'll work on polishing up the OP once I'm a little more well rested. I'll also see if an english form is possible!
And yes, as Hoff says, please do exercise caution. That said, LZ himself has never been guilty of messing up a group buy - he's only guilty by association. He has been running a lot of group buys since that whole incident without any problems!
He is absolutely and completely trustworthy as far as I'm concerned. He has completed just as many group buys as elton has, and has done so smoothly.
I've purchased from LZ multiple times when he was in Team Redline, independent group buys, and as an individual and he's always delivered and is trustworthy. If there was an issue with shipping or damage he's always fixed the item or sent me a new one. His English is not very good and he was not able to defend himself during the Team Redline fiasco that was caused by DrugER. DrugER did the same thing on the Korean forums and has been prosecuted and arrested for his actions.
I vouch for LZ too and assure you he will deliver what you've ordered from him.

I don't know the angle of this specific board, but my experience with LZ boards tell me that it should be around 11 degrees, usually that's how he designs it.

No worries! Not exactly running this, just helping out a phenomenal keyboard maker and friend on the English and GH side of things. :thumb:

Same here.
Missed out on this GB due to Kin25 problems in the beginning, which had thoroughly depressed me about buying into any future Keyboard Builds.
LZ at least produces his works of art and am glad he decided to again, set up shop here on Geekhack.
Because now he is directly in charge we no longer have to be worried about being ripped off by any 3rd party and that means his creations can now find more homes all around the world.
He of course will be releasing more new designs, so just stay close to GH and there will be another chance to own his creations. An LZ designed keyboard is very special indeed, like a fine cut diamond it simply gets better with age.

I don't know how busy lz is, but if he's not too busy, I wouldn't be surprised if that's still the schedule, since only 20 or so boards were ordered from the west (although there may have been many more from Korea.)

I'm assembling my lz rv, i've soldered all the switches, however the 1,2,3,4 don't work as well as numlock, add, multiply, subtract. insert is delete, delete is home, end is page up and vice vera, windows keys don't work, keys number 2 and 3 above the numpad give 2 and 3. anyone know what could be going on?I'm having the same issue. Did you figure it out?
