Jedi: Fallen Order, seriously if you are a fan of great single player games that can take >20, >30, >40 hrs to complete give this one a look! I have barely gamed at all the past few months, but I started this game 3 days ago & haven't been able to set it down. Great story (so far IME), great gameplay, pretty good graphics. Honestly I think even non Star Wars fans could get into it, if you are a Star Wars fan though just get it!. Don't want to give any spoilers, but felt compelled to give it a recommendation on here.

I have the game too, I'd like to know if you use KB + mouse or a controller. I'm a bread and butter KB + mouse guy, but I think it'd be better to use a controller. I have a MS XBOX 360 controller lying around somewhere, should I use it?

Game's actually pretty short; about 20+ hours depending on how much of a completionist you are. It's a great Star Wars game if you're a SW fan, and still a pretty good one if you're not.

Definitely plays better on a controller given the combat gameplay, but you might need some adjustment time if you're not used to playing with a controller.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm pretty big on using M+KB in most games, but this one definitely plays much better with a controller. The 360 controller would be perfect, especially if you are on windows.

Yeah, that's why i stared there in my post. Although I can honestly see the time being close to doubled if you go for 100% completion.

I've started this Age of Emires 2 definite edition released few days ago - nice, lovely OG RTS :)

I've been having such a great time with it.

I still play HD/2013 Edition and wasn't sure I'd like the DE remaster, but the quality-of-life improvements are great and the remaster tasteful overall.

Certainly a timeless gem of a game.

Yep, old RTS games were amazing.
That's why I'm so happy that they bringing back C&C and Red Alert.

Just finished The Blackwell Legacy.
Time for second part of this game.

Just finished second part of this series - Blackwell Unbound.

These games are kinda short, but pleasant to play. As far as you like adventure games like this one.
Installed third part - Convergence.

I think DMC has the worst writing I've ever seen in a AAA game. I'm shocked and frustrated someone was actually hired and paid actual money to generate that complete trash, and I can't even get an interview for a narrative position.
Someone at Capcom actually read that dialogue, plot, and script and said "Yes, this looks good."

As of late, as opposed to just giving games, we are at the same time serving an assortment of gambling club games. Genting Toto is certifiably not a modest arrangement, yet Genting's 안전놀이터  one of a kind Toto arrangement, so you can know the capital and security of the organization just by the expense of improvement. A few people like the straightforward and basic interface, however in the event that you are searching for a sheltered play area, search for Toto's site, which has its own plan and numerous administrations.

I have the grand rotation which I go through, and every so often a new game pops in, and then out.

1. Minecraft
2. Ark
3. Stellaris
4. Path of Exile
5. Dwarf Fortress

rinse and repeat. Every few years a game will replace these, but I almost always come back to these, their open endedness always keeps me playing.

Currently I'm off rotation, and playing The Master Chief Collection.

GF and I started playing ESO together and it's been great. It's definitely *not* the game for anyone that wants a challenge or satisfying MMO leveling experience (the level scaling is.... really weird), but it's excellent if you want more Elder Scrolls storytelling and world-building. Tons of content, all of it's voice acted. And a huge nostalgia bomb playing through the same Morrowind areas I spent so much time in as a teen.

Second Dead Cells!

Also Bloodstained is a great spiritual successor to Castlevania since Igarashi went rogue. However, I feel the soundtrack isn't as grand as the team's SOTN days.

Typing games, mainly typeracer now. Villagers and Heroes is the only MMO I can run on my toaster. I recently got addicted to stardew valley. Occasionally click and point games like rusty lake: roots and deponia. I don't have much time to play after immersing myself in this hobby lol.

I've been debating on that game for a long time. I may just do it soon myself.
A friend convinced me to pick it up the other day and I've played a couple raids and tried a couple of scav runs. Just figured out you can get missions from the different traders etc you get it.
The learning curve is steep, but it's a thoroughly enjoyable game, especially if you have others to play it with.
There's no tutorial or anything to get you acquainted with the different maps etc. You're just plunged right in to it and you've gotta figure out how to survive.
So far I've died and lost my **** a couple times now. It's really not the end of the world I found out. I thought I'd be too stressed out over it to enjoy the game but that turned out not to be the case.
Once the game's loaded you're just so amped. The atmosphere and sound is so fantastic.
Those are my initial thoughts. Might change my mind after a while who knows.

Trying to get into Cave Of Qud but it's a steep learning curve

That's the perfect description for CIV 6. I did one campaign on that game and never came back. It was way too easy to just envelop the map with armies. They need to work on their balancing. Maybe with another 5 years of updates.

I need to start RDR2 finally myself. I waited for the PC release, and nobody seemed to be happy about that when it came out either, so I decided to wait.

escape from tarkov looks really interesting since its been popping off on twitch.

might start playing today

I've been debating on that game for a long time. I may just do it soon myself.

It's an interesting game, for sure. I feel like the concept is much better than the execution, though.

It suffers from some rough netcode issues and frame stutters. The fights are rarely matched and the quest for realism comes at the cost of enjoyment, IMO.

I used to enjoy it more last summer when it was a bit more simple (shorter scav times, no healing between raids/hideout, unlimited Labs runs)... now it seems like a game you have to treat like a daily job. The amount of time invested VS enjoyment is a bit low, with so much time spent in the inventory, loading queues, etc. When you finally have a fight, it's either someone you can steamroll, someone who can steamroll you (or 5 guys who can), a raider 'nade from 250 meters that's precise to 40 decimal places, or just sniped out of the clear blue sky.

That said, if you like the role-playing aspects and are willing to commit lots of time to it, plus have good PC specs, it can provide some good times, especially with friends. Just make sure not to take it too seriously!

I think your assessment is spot-on. Every game my friend wants me to play is like this: you have to read millions of wikis and spreadsheets, watch hours of tutorial videos, and spend hours in menu/inventory screens just to know what you're doing, and then you still suck at the actual gameplay. That just isn't fun to me.

It's cool that the ammunition is realistic and that armor isn't penetrated by rounds that can't defeat it (unlike every other game in which it just takes more shots to defeat the armor), but I don't want to research every little detail to play a game.

I think maybe once the game takes on its original premise of starting at one location and escaping to the next, it may be more fun. Or maybe I just need a bigger, more organized group to play with.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

Just started up Star Citizen over the weekend and it was kinda cool to run bounty-hunter missions in the starter ships. Wasn't quite a "great" experience yet, even after 10 years of development.

Started playing Dead Cells the other day & man is it good! If you like Roguelikes & Metroidvania games I'd give it a look.

Second Dead Cells!

Also Bloodstained is a great spiritual successor to Castlevania since Igarashi went rogue. However, I feel the soundtrack isn't as grand as the team's SOTN days.

YES! Both Bloodstained games are revelations IMO, mostly Ritual of the night though as I bet Curse of the Moon will not be to popular with anyone who got started with 32 bit consoles & beyond.

I third Bloodstained. Personally, as short of a game Order of Ecclesia was for the DS for being their last on the DS it was fantastic and now my favorite throwback. Also Portrait of Ruin was an odd bird, but somehow after the sixth playthrough the character switch mechanic really grew on me

If you were talking about ARK, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, we have to boost our rates like crazy to ensure we can actually play that sanely.

But that does speak well of Tarkhov as I do like that sort of game, I wish I had more time to get REALLY into them, but I'm still gonna give it a shot!
