Smaller travel time mod?
« on: Sat, 24 May 2014, 19:19:31 »
If we put foam or silicon or some other thick substance on the inside top of the switch, and then either O rings or silicon balls on the inside bottom, could it be possible to make the distance to actuation and the distance to bottom lower? Resulting in say 1 mm total travel distance instead of 2 with just O rings

Not sure about distance to actuation...you'd have to find a way to have the key depressed at rest.  Maybe modify the switch covers or use a heavier cap?

Or modify the leg of a switch...I dunno.  Seems that reducing travel until actuation would be pretty difficult.

Could probably make the leafspring taller. Maybe that would work.
