According to your poll the overwhelming choice of profile seems to be SA, hence you have to re-design the Alphas with centered text.

Haven't seen an upper left hand side placement of text when using the SA profile so keep that in mind when you progress towards PMK's store front.  Nothing worse then designing your key-set for DSA placement only and then it becomes distorted on an SA profile  :o .

I don't think there is a requirement for centered legends. Most SA sets have done so to be in keeping with the style of classic spherical sets from the 60's and 70's. SP's double shot molding process handles legends anywhere within the legendable area of keycap face regardless of it's curve.

Centered legends would look fine with this set I think. All the other SA sets I've seen, I've liked despite  the centered legends. This set however, might look even better with centered legends.

I've run a few kits by Melissa once already. She didn't indicate it would be a problem, but I can ask about this specific detail.

I dug up these brevity codes.  Could maybe use them on the 1.25u mods.

GUNS (obvious)
FOX 3 (AA active guided missile)
PICKLE (AS ordnance, gravity weapons)

Also considering:  ECM

It's not uncommon to find ECM pods on modern fighter aircraft.

New here, I have a question.
Is there any option or way to get Åå Ää Öö keycaps with the ISO set? (Swedish/Nordic layout)

Sure.  If you can find at least 14 other people who will buy them I'll either add them to the UK set or make another child kit.

Adding them to the UK set will do. Hopefully some people will grab the ISO(UK) set.

Yeah, that would probably help the UK set tip.  But I can't add the keys and increase the cost of the UK set for everyone if only 2 or 3 people actually need the additional Nordic keys.  If a bunch of people request them then I'll make it happen.

Looking to maybe "finalize" the kits this week and push the Interest Check on PMK out by the end of next week.

This probably wouldn't become a GB until early May.  Might wallets have recovered by then?  Is interest still decent?

Damn, I really like this one the Yellow Legends on dark blue and grey colour-way is UNIQUE  :thumb: .

This one has to be made soon since I need some more darkie background keys that enable the legends to be seen late at night, when typing.

Also this key-set would be great for any 1800 layout due to it being all Row 3  8) .

Nothing to report.  I've been intentionally quiet in here, mainly because I wanted to see what would happen.  This is my first keycap group buy but I don't have the impression that there's a lot of interest in this set, and I'm usually pretty good at reading the situation.  I wasn't expecting the kind of response that a Matt3o or CtrlAlt group buy gets around here, but I was hoping for a little more than I got.  I shared my latest mock-ups over at DT and got an even weaker response.  So that tells me people just aren't interested in the colorway, profile, theme, or something else.  I haven't really figured it out yet -- nobody will tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I'm not going through the trouble of getting it approved by SP if it's not even going to tip.   :p  So I'm just going to sit on it until the interest is there or it just quietly dies.  Don't know what else I could do but I'm certainly open to suggestions.

All that said, I do really appreciate those of you who have expressed interest and offered suggestions.  It means a lot.   :thumb:

I don't have anything against r/mk, I'm just not a big fan of the site layout so I don't go there.

I think it would still pass, I really like this set, and they only need 30 buys to drop, and my 2 cents on the profile and texture. R3 uniform with matte finish like commando 23 would be the dream

I would definitely be interested in this set. If I could chip in some feedback, I think it'd look super awesome with a few colored modifiers. Maybe throw in a child kit with some of the novelties reversed? If there were options to get my Shift, Ctrl, and Alt keys to be yellow with blue text like the Escape key, I'd be all over it even more!

Good job overall, though! You can definitely count on one purchase should this go through haha.

Wait a few months and try again.

It's not a bad set but colors won't appeal to everyone.  There has also been a lot of big keyset drops recently, with all those CTRL ALT drops and things like GMK Adler, redrops of Granite and Dolch and soon SA Retro (and a redrop of Penumbra).  Most people won't have the money on yet another set at this time.

I can't compete with those sets -- and I wouldn't want to.  I'll be part of those group buys too.  So all I can do is try to position it in a gap between them and hope that SP is accommodating.

Were you still considering including the roundel caps in the wingman pack, or were the custom designs too expensive?

I'm doing the RAF roundel for sure in that pack. I'm considering others but cost is a concern.

This one also features the "final" custom legend design for the DZ Wing logo.

The only reason I was asking is because Commando 23 has a stepped windowed caps lock, unless SP didn't do it

MUCH, much better buddy.

This what we're talking about, large legends, just like in any Cockpit and the Yellow stands out nicely.

Keep us informed when this baby is going to PMK for a buy up.
