So I just got my MX Mini today and was wondering if it is programmable, and where to find the software if it is.

Aikon software. You need the driver, a 32bit system for the driver, and the programming utility, IIRC.

hype, for one.

nice heavy alu cases, programmable, and 1.5 mods with stepped capslock.

but hype plays a big part.

1.5 unit modifiers, such as Ctrl and Alt. Uses 7 unit spacebar with those. With or without 1.0 unit win keys. Each "unit" is the size of a single alphanumeric key, or 0.75". Modern keyboards have the following layout on the bottom row:

1.25-1.25-1.25-6.25-1.25-1.25-1.25-1.25

Older keyboards tended to use this layout:

1.5-1.0-1.5-7.0-1.5-1.0-1.5

Korean keyboards are thus compatible with key sets from classic keyboards from Cherry, etc.

Sanctuary never looked better ! :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Took me about 7-8 hours to build this KMAC 1.2, but it was all worth it in the end.  This included desoldering existing switches, opening them up, removing the in-switch diode (PITA if you didn't cleanly desolder), applying stickers, spring oil and slider lube, closing them back up and soldering them in.  Really wished this had the Phantom plate design =/  Oh, I also forgot to put the stabilizers in first after soldering in about 40+ switches, ugh.

Specs:
KMAC 1.2 Red "Winkeyless" using blockers (84-key)
60g Cherry MX Browns (Clear for Esc, Grey for Spacebar), fully modified with pink switch stickers, Victorinox Multi-Tool Oil for springs, and 60%/40% GPL203/103 for sliders
Red LEDs under Esc, F1-F12, WASD.  Magenta for Caps and Control keys.
OG RA + QWERKeys Function Row Pack (infilled version; not doubleshot)

The color matching was perfect all around, blockers and all.  It's a tad darker and more vibrant than the plate, but nearly the same color.  Overall, all the hard work I think really paid off.  I'm extremely satisfied and surprisingly, modded browns don't feel awful nor boring.  Most of the scratchiness sound is removed and the bump is more subtle than before.  When typing at 110+ WPM, they feel fluid and almost like a linear switch.

They all do.  It was the intent of the design to do it this way so users would have the option to be either 84 Winkeyless or 86 Winkey from purchasing a single KMAC.  With the original KMAC 1, to do that, you would need to buy 2 KMAC's to achieve an 86 Winkey because they did not sell PCBs separately.  litster recently did this because he owns both an 84-Winkeyless and 86-Winkey KMAC 1.

At first I thought it might look tacky and was worried the color wouldn't be accurate, but it turned out well and I'm not bothered by the block.

So the current winkeyless option for 1.2 is just like the kmac 2. I thought it would be like the kmac 1. I like the idea behind it and it still looks great! =)

The Kmac 2 doesn't doesn't have legs, it is raised like the kmac mini, and it is hard annodized.

@Dan

Next time, if you desloder and don't get clean diode legs, to the point where they won't pull through the switch holes for removal, simply use a tiny set of cutters and clip the big part off of the diode leg. I know exactly What you are saying. It happened to me Also.
