In for at least 1 set, possibly 2

I think the blue on white would look good on the blue aluminum casing ;o

Got a sample of the blue? I wonder if its a dark blue or light blue

Make them off-center. Every corner is fine as long as you don't copy my BIANCO style and make them centered!

:-)

I turned the picture around and it looks too awkward to be a 7.

Also, it also looks to be the logo for lucky bearings. Seeing as there are other skate brands scattered around.

Rational side of my brain is still not convinced of the importance of the thickness of keys.  These are keycaps, not tires.

You could have poorly formed plastics made thicker to make up for the crap composition and then you can have extremely well formed plastics that are able to be made thin.

Until further information is available, I don't even pretend to believe the "thicker keys = higher quality" argument.  Sounds nigh close to fud to me.

I am sure, the red one is from KBC.
there are two kinds of profile now    one is the same as ducky,DAS,Ficlo
the other is cherry thick profile,  just the same as the jelly keycaps.

It's the logic of this that worries me.  If it's thicker than Filco/Ducky then they aren't your typical KBC PBT keys.

A pic of a key turned upside down would answer this question.

I believe what he meant to say is the Cartman key on your picture is thicker than the OEM one.

One of the problems I'm seeing is you keep posting a pic of the nice thick keycaps and saying 'are these the thick keycaps' directly afterward.  And yes, the keycaps in your pic (referred to by the word these) are the thick keycaps.  I think you need to work on your pronoun usage.  Even when you asked the right way directly referring to the OP keyset, you follow with the wrong way.

If you don't mind paying $120 USD for a set of keys, then you can order confidently from imsto. Check the opening post for reference and pictures. Those key have the exact same shape and thickness as your Filco keys.

I have a set of PBT caps in this thickness, from Ducky so the molds are very similar.  No disappointment here coming from a Noppoo with the super thick POMs.  I bought the PBTs to replace my Filco ABS which were a disappointment.

I didn't want to spend that much but they do look cool. My first time replacing keycaps maybe I'll just go with cheaper ones from WASD. The white with red font would look amazing though.

I'd say you shouldn't let thickness be an issue for you. Sure, you can get thicker ones, but it'snot really necessary. I have WYSE thick doubleshots, and WYSE thin ones. While I sort of prefer the thick ones, there really isn't a difference typing on them. From a physcs perspective, you might end up with different resonances when you bottom out the key, but this shouldn't be as issue for anyone.

Me, I want a White/green sphercial PBT set in Dvorak, and when the closest I can get to that happens, (likely all but spherical) I'll wait until there are some options (or at least reviews) and then go for it.

I'd wait until Imsto confirms it one way or the other.

Or better yet always include a picture of the bottom of a key when selling them.

Like these Vortex dyesub keys that iMav announced - I am ASSUMING they are thin but ARE THEY?
(Attachment) 35751[/ATTACH]

And the big question of course is whether the new thick Leopold keys will be dyesub or lasered.  Any insights there Imsto?

the Keys are as thick as the red keycaps with KBC logo. I have not idea about Leopold new keys....

So anyway.  It's time to timestamp this prediction before everybody starts saying "Oh, I KNEW that already".  Verrrrrry annoying thing you see when you make predictions on the internet.

"2012 Will Be The Year Of Thick PBT Keys".

I don't care what those Sherlock wannabees are saying in my Sherlock thread.

"Post hoc ergo propter hoc" fallacy. I'll start taking you seriously when you quit committing crimes against logic. In all seriousness, though I didn't read your prediction beforehand. It's not unheard of for two different people, presented with the same data, to make the same predictions based on it. It's all very logical, infact.

Ripster: people who agree with you aren't, necessarily, plagiarizing your ideas.

I'm done derailing this topic. If ripster has any response to me, I recommend he PM me, and open a topic in his subforum about it where we can discuss it there.
