Very nice. I did put the keys of my black M13 on my (real) industrial M quite a while ago but... I like your led cover even better: seen that I've got several industrial cases left (I'm not trading nor selling them atm) I may "kill" my M13 too by taking it's logo and led cover and putting them on one of my industrial case.

I'm using an HHKB as my daily but the industrial M is hooked to a secondary computer which I use once in a while. Because I use it very rarely I'm not wearing the "white on black" keys too much (these keys are famous for having their white letters wearing off fast).

Here's a crappy picture I already posted somewhere on GH but not in this thread:

Just finished bolt-modding my 1986 Model M 1390120! My first bolt mod, was definitely a bigger undertaking than I anticipated, but it was well worth it.

Gorgeous Josh: is that an original industrial SSK or one made with one of the top shell that Unicomp had in stock? And where/how did you find that mythical beast?

By the way: if anybody has a SSK industrial top shell left for sale I'm willing to pay some munies for it (I'd like to do what I did with my full-size industrial: put some white-on-black M13 keycaps on it)

After seeing jdcarpe's industrial I decided to take the IBM logo and led cover of my black M13 and put it on one of the industrial case I had left... And then I put an Ambra ISO board inside that case  :o

Here's the result (crappy camera as usual... The esc key is a "Geek Hack" key):

Take your time... Use a very sharp blade and go very very slowly. Basically it's just glue, so you want to "cut" the glue with the blade. I don't know: maybe it took me five real minutes to remove the IBM sticker. With a sharp blade you can pass "underneath" the sticker and so you won't damage it on the edge. Then do not bend the sticker: have the blade nearly horizontal.

I had zero issue with the sticker. I found it a bit harder with the led cover: there I went even slower and it's taller, so it takes longer.

The sticker is kinda stiff and robust. The led cover not so much.

Others may have a better approach than mine.

By the way what do you plan to do ?  Take a sticker from where and to where ?    :thumb:

I have removed several of the oval stickers using naptha, which is an excellent product to remove many adhesives, especially tape and stickers.

It be harsh on plastic, so I work quickly. Drip a few drops into the depression where the sticker is installed, wait perhaps 10-20 seconds, and start peeling it up with a sharp knife blade. Be careful not to bend any crease in it.

After it is separated, wipe the sticker and the keyboard with fresh naptha to remove all adhesive residue, then wash with soap and water to remove all naptha residue.

I have never damaged either surface, but it is certainly possible. Work quickly and clean thoroughly.

Thanks for the tips.

Basically the same like you, but only the ibm logo. I got a new industrial topshell, but without logo. And recently bought a M13. The keycaps will be for a ssk.
