What is the difference between orange alps and pink alps?
« on: Thu, 16 August 2012, 21:13:51 »
Could someone please outline the main differences between orange and pink alps.
Also, why are pink alps more desired than orange alps?

I heard that the difference was that the orange ALPS have they grey switchplate and the pink have the white. So it should be the same difference as blue ALPS are to white.
If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.

Meaning what exactly? Where is ripster when you need him? :D
Where can the pink alps be found? I'm pretty sure I have orange, maybe I can compare them.
I had a sig once but it's gone. It used to display an icon of a Kinesis. Just imagine that.

Aren't orange ALPS found in old Apple keyboards? I vaguely recall owning one a while ago...

I've spotted a Wang 724 with Pink (or as webwit calls them, salmon alps) Alps.
I'm just guessing they are rare because not many were made. I still think brown alps are the rarest. If I find a dead IBM convertable, I'm desoldering the Brown Alps.
