Hello everyone!

Thank you all so much for the support throughout this project. I wanted to update you all on the current status of the case as well as what to look for in the coming weeks. This will also become my first post on Geekhack, where I hope to find as warm of a welcome as over on Reddit.

First, as you can see from the Imgur album above, I have the final samples and they look amazing! The case looks and feels great and I can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on some of your own.

Also, I wanted to announce the dates the group buy will be open as well as the tentative date for when the case will be shipped/be “officially” available on my website. I will list those below:

Group buy open: 8/10/20 10am cst

Group buy close: 8/24/20 11:59pm cst

Tentative shipping/release date: Mid-September (I will have a solidified date for shipping on the group buy open post)

For anyone who is new here, I’ll give some details on the case here:

-   6063 aluminum case (electrophoresis treatment on both the white and black)
-   Brushed brass weight and front insert
-   ~7° typing angle
-   3.1 lbs/1.4 kg total weight (before PCB, switches and keys)
-   Compatible with GH60 PCB and other comparable PCB’s

Of course, if you guys have any further questions, feel free to leave them below and I’ll get back to you at my earliest convenience.

I'm not the newest here but I thought I'd still say welcome.  I know a lot of people think that r/MK is better, but I still prefer GH.  I feel a greater sense of community and warmth here than in Reddit, though none of them are bad.

Indeed it is. Just happens to be the style I was most familiar/comfortable with when designing originally. The next set of cases will include more colors and will be either top mounted or sandwich mounted. Haven't decided yet!

I've gotten a few requests for some sort of PC variant of this case- I'll have to see if I can get some pieces manufactured for you guys!

The case as shown in the IC form will be 189.99USD. Let me know if you have any other questions!

For this round, PC will not be a material used. I am looking into PC for the next round of cases though and trying to see what we can do on that front. As far as the question regarding the weight, there will be the weight and front insert included. Both are brushed brass and act as nice accents to the case. Let me know if you have any other questions!
