Well normally I order something, go to the PayPal page to approve, get redirected to the store page again and then the money is transfered immediately.

With the SP system I just had to approve a future payment, but no money was transfered yet. Was it different for you?

i haven't paid anything yet, only authorized the transaction. i think technically, the money was reserved from my bank account by paypal.

the authorization expires on 13.3.2014 and i guess if the payment isn't requested by SP by then, it will be returned and added to my bank account balance.

at least that's the way i picture it.

Well I got the standard 2 paypal receipts via email.  First says I've given an authorized Payment to SP and the Second note confirms purchase and payment of items from SP.  That was it.

Nothing unusual because I've gone through the same procedure hundreds of times when it comes to buying anything off the web.  I just need to confirm tomorrow if any moolah gets transferred out of my account.

They said already that they don't charge until it goes through. 'Authorized a payment' isn't the same as 'made a payment.'

no reason to charge a payment up front in case a tier is met and the price drops. what accountant would want to deal with all of those refunds?

No refunds allowed here, it's just accrued with more extras given from SP  ;) .

We don't charge until the deal is over.

The amount is authorized on Paypal but not charged until the deal expires, and then only if it has reached the MOQ. If you look at your paypal account it is just a authorization for the amount that allows us to charge it in the future.

As for shipping it is $15 per set for international orders. Thee is no way for us to single any one user out. Everyone receives the same deal.

Hello SP People :)

I'm still only seeing the base set in my order history.  Do the add-ons still exist?  Man I hope this set goes through.  So much awesome!

You sure, I still got hit via paypal for $49.00USD shipping on my deal.  So what happens now?  Will I be getting a refund on my payment?  If not, can I get an extra on my key-set order?

How many base sets did you order?

Going by your earlier post, i see 3 base sets and a bunch of other stuff, so that should be 45 dollars shipping at the very least. What seems to be the issue?

Sorry my bad, I was caught up with another Group Buy and mixed up an order requirement.  Here I am screaming like a b1tch about shipping when that wasn't the issue.  So sorry to cause any disturbances here.

PLEASE ignore my pathetic ranting.  Everything is good, nothing wrong with this order at all.  SP is playing it straight, only I am acting like a drunken tosser here on Geekhack, please forgive me  :( .

Only 3 Base Sets.  I'm not greedy here in this Group Buy, trying to be conservative with my choices.

As far as I understood, the system charges shipping base on the quantities ordered.

Mr. Excessive could check the shipping charges for your order and tell you if that is the actual amount you should pay for what you want.

No, everything is as it should be.  Never trust an old cretin when it comes to key-cap ordering, it's just too complicated for me to understand.  Not anyone's fault but mine.

I am very sorry for you to feel like that. I still think SP reps can do something to help you, though. Living that far should be hard sometimes, but I love your fauna.  ;)

Since the additional mods have dropped in price from $43 to $28 I think I should add them. :D
Any way to change my order Excessive?

Hey guys we have two options here:

1) If you would like to add mods to your order, place a new order with just those mods. When we sort the orders we will package them together.

2) The other option is we can cancel the original order and you can place an entirely new one.

We're very open to making this the best experience we can for the community, so let me know what you would like to see, and if we can do it we will.
Well, since I do want them let's write me down for one more addition to my order. The only problem I could see with option 1 is the extra shipping. Probably safer to cancel the order and order a new one.

I have to talk with SP. I sincerely hope that this will go to production anyway. They already chimed in about that few pages ago, and it seems that they are willing to proceed with the production of 50 base sets and 15 for each of the others.

Man I'm happy Alaska has internet on their flights other I would go crazy.  :'( And if me being on a plane and still posting isn't cool enough I think I can do better....

We've just updated the MOQ on all Sull Squadron sets to 1. That' means everything in the SQ set has now reached the tipping point. Better yet this has no affect on your pricing. The last stated price on each deal is what will be charged.

BTW I just want to say thank you to everyone who has placed an order and shown faith in us. We really appreciate it. Please know that as we move forward we'll continue to work hard to make this a great tool for the community.  Thank you again for the support.

FYI: Keep an eye out as we have another 2 or 3 GB's that will be getting published very soon.....

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Look at it this way:

You will never get a cheaper set, because SP granted us a special price for the very first GB using their new system. If you don't buy a set now, you'll have to pay +20$ the next time ;)

Kind of really want, but not sure if wallet will be happy. My inner geek says "get it!", but my wallet just gives me this disparaging blank stare...

Look at it this way:

You will never get a cheaper set, because SP granted us a special price for the very first GB using their new system. If you don't buy a set now, you'll have to pay +20$ the next time ;)

I figured because I've not seen a special-mold base set (much less double-shot) for that price, but the way it's cold-dead stare glares at me... OHMYGODITSGOTAGUN!!
