Cherry MX Keycaps with LED Window?

Good day!

I’m new to the boards! But I’ve been using them for looking various things up for a while though. 

Anyhow, how impossible is it to find the top row, or at least F1-F12 in back with an LED window.
I’ve emailed a couple vendors but always get them “nope, don’t have and no plans” response.

But its only F9-10-11. Granted I could maybe buy three all black sets at $150 for 15 of these keys.

From what I gather I could try to go through GMK they have some listed on the performance sheet

But I read that trying to get anything in small numbers from them is basically impossible.

And lastly this is the only other thing I’ve found digging around for LED keycaps

Which is canned from an old Alcatel OEM keyboard, so basically not possible to find, esp in black, I’d be better off doing the $150 set.

I wish I remembered where I saw it, it might have been someone linking to KBDmania, but I seem to remember seeing someone make their own with a set of keys and a gum pack (like one of these http://i.imgur.com/wSEhfFk.jpg).  They cut out a hole, cut the plastic to the right size, and glued it in.  Surprisingly, it looked pretty good instead of the cheap ghetto mod it was.  You could try something like that with a cheap WASD set.  Outside of that, I haven't seen any of those for sale anywhere (perhaps Taobao has some?), but I could be wrong about that and a more knowledgable member can correct me.

Currently only GMK make those, which is what is in Dan's photo. There are some older boards you can find in used market like the Alcatel MMK, or WEY HK2000

which also have Cherry/GMK keycap. Keep an eye out, they sometimes can be a good price. There was some sets from WEY on TaoBao not too long ago for super cheap.

Yup, Taobao is a Chinese site.  You'll need an agent to buy something from them.  I've used qtan in the past, though I've heard good things about Bhiner.

Just contact one of the agents I listed (qtan via email or PM on here, Bhiner via their site) and give them the link for the product.  You'll then set up everything through them.

If you end up with two sets of these, you can sell me one.  If Google Translate is accurate, it says they have nine in stock.

It would probably be a tiny bit cheaper/easier if you two ordered together.  I know it ended up costing me around $10-15 in shipping for a package of 135 Clears from Qtan.  If you flat rate them to the other person you're looking at $7.50-9.00 in shipping each as opposed to $10-15 each.

Yeah they are a good deal, the bottom row 1.25 Ctrl/Alt is doubleshots too. The only big 'con' is that they are in GB layout and the shade of white is different that other sets so it won't match perfectly if you wanted to make it US.
