Those renders look very 2 dimensional... I personally cannot tell how tall/thick the keyboard. Also how is this mounted, it looks tray mounted.

Okay, the prototype looks decent. However, if your case is the same as the renders your keycaps might rub on the case.

So thats why the pcb is northfacing w/o pcb mount holes.

Costar stabilized capslock is the biggest brane thing I have ever seen on this site, next to metal Pok3r.

This reeks of chyna design. Did you get a quote for a proto yet? Looks hard to machine.... Also no holes for pcb mount switches?

I uploaded some pictures for sample.

The floor of the inside is not sitting parallel to the top face of the board.  Doesn't this mean that the caps would be mounted at a negative angle and not go through the top cutouts?  Also what is the mounting?  The inside of the case has no standoffs for tray mount and the plate has no wings for top mount.  I am very confused and concerned about the viability of this design.

not if the plate mounts to the top part of the case

Yes , pcb mount to the top layer. Not the bottom case.

I feel like every way I look at this is an optical illusion. Productive feedback (aside from snarky negative jabs) is that it's really over the top and looks cheap (check out gamer design keyboards like Gamdias and other generic-ish manufacturers) despite it obviously taking a lot of time, material, and CNC design work. I do get the BP aesthetic a bit, but I don't think it's a good match for a case design that will attract many interested buyers, at least in this current form.

I dig it. Would love to see some keycaps on it to get a better idea of end product.

Some feedback:

- I'm assuming those are costar stab cutouts, I highly recommend using cherry stab cutouts instead. Few people have keycap sets with costar stabs for stabilized keys. Also, capslock is not a stabilized key.
- How is it mounted? You said it was top mount in the replies, but as someone pointed out already, top mount won't exactly work. Can you confirm that the plate securely fits along with the pcb inside the case?
- Not enough distance between switches cutouts and the edges. Keycaps on the edge such as all caps on the spacebar row will hit the metal bezel. This along with the mounting are the most damning issues right now

Just as something with preference: I would strongly recommend using a pcb with southfacing switches that also has pcb mount cutouts for switches. North facing is notorious for having issues with R3 cherry profile iirc and a lot of people love to use cherry profile keycaps.

Okay, the prototype looks decent. However, if your case is the same as the renders your keycaps might rub on the case.

Thanks, but the pcb is parallel to the plate , so keycaps won't rub on the case.

Thank you very much for your productive feedback.
I'll try more elegant design.
Just wanna know GH's aesthetic orientation.
It is true that this design is very heresy.

- I'll try to use a Cherry Stab Cutouts
- I'm trying to optimize the specific installation method
- PCB and locating plate are parallel and have been tested for a distance of about 1 mm on other housings
- Okay, then South Facing Switches
Thank you very much for your suggestion.
