Updates

Shipping the parts I have available. Waiting for more PCBs and blue plates.

ORDER HERE

Hey and welcome to the fourth LeandreN group buy !

Round 4!
PCBs, plates and stabilisers for 60% keyboards. Read more by scrolling down the page!

BASIC INFORMATION

3$ per order profit will go to the Norwegian Cancer Society
1 lucky order will win a Apollo GID Kosmonavt by Booper and KeyKollectiv

PARTS OFFERED

Universal60 plates - DESIGNED BY JDCARPE - original plates used in my two GBs before. Reliable and a favourite design by JDcarpe. Supports almost any layout imaginable. If you want winkeyless or HHKB layouts, without the winkeys i suggest going for the proprietary HHKB/winkeyless plates for better looks.

GON Nerd60 LeandreN edition - available in the exclusive colours orange and black. read about the PCB here.

Stabilisers - available in both 7u and 6.25u from GON

HHKB and winkeyless plates -  UNIVERSAL!  - DESIGNED BY JDCARPE - these plates doesn NOT have a cutout where there are no keys used in the specific layout. This looks much better than looking through the plate and onto the PCB when there is no switch there.

Winkeyless ISO/ANSI merged design!

HHKB ANSI/ISO plate

These are MX compatible plates for custom 60% builds. They are not made for the original HHKB.

The winkeyless plates are 1.5u - covered 1u - 1.5u - 7u- 1.5u - covered 1u - 1.5u
1.75u + 1u or 2.75u shift on the right side.
ISO or ANSI options.
Stepped caps lock.
This is for your OG fans-
Covered means that you can't put a switch there.

The HHKB plates are : covered covered 1.5u- 1u - 1.5u - 7u - 1u - 1.5u - covered 1.5u
1.75u + 1u or 2.75u shift on the right side.
ANSI only.
Covered means you can't put a switch there.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Please contact my mail rather than PMs if you have any questions:
support@leandrekeyboards.com

The only thing you need is keycaps and a case, which can be cheap, or expensive.

Europeans, please be prepared to pay by
SEPA
if you don't want the greedy 4% PayPal fee.
PayPal will still be available as a choice!

Thanks to TalkingTree for all the suggestions, JDcarpe for the great designs and everyone else for your contribution.

We need to reach 50 of each colour!

If everything goes after the plan, this GB will have profits for me.

Are these still the anodized aluminum, similar to your other buys?

Pre orders until end of february, where the real GB starts. There will hopefully be a GON GB later, but not with these plates.

What other pcbs do you think would work with this? I'm tempted to get this as a graduation present to myself.

Wo congrats!

I think all other PCBs with winkeyless/HHKB support will work.

7u PCB mount stabs are pretty hard to come by. Not sure how many people are going to jump on the plate without them.

Do you have a list of potential sources for people who are interested?

I bought a 7u stab set from imsto store and they took 79 days to arrive 😩

BTW you can use the plastic bits from any PCB-mount stab and bend a wire yourself. It'll probably won't be as good as an official one, but it works until the real ones arrive. I've done this once and it was a bit more rattly because the wire I used was slightly thinner than the normal stab wire.

Any plastic insert works, you only need the wires, that can be bended by you, or you can buy them from IMSTO, GON, Winkeyless.

So, I jumped in for a set of WKL ANSI

I have a few questions... since I hopped on this, I'm hoping to build my absolute dream layout which actually showed up on a simple google search..

Assuming I want to build something similar to this... can anyone point me in the direction of what I need to look for to make this a reality?
I need a custom PCB that supports 1.5 modifiers and a stepped capslock, and a 7u(?) spacebar with matching stabilizers?
If I can see correctly, I'm also a part of the EnjoyPBT GB for a purple set and a CMY modifier, will all those caps fit this build?

Sorry if I'm asking any questions already being answered, I just want to know what I'm getting into!

Thank you!!

Edit: If there is anyone available to help me figure out what I need to do that wants to PM me instead of cluttering this thread up, that would be appreciated as well!

Nope, nothing to do with the actual HHKB. It is for Cherry MX (compatible) switches. The point is that they support "HHKB-like layout" - i.e. something similar to this {google images 'gon hhkb'; the important difference is that GON's use a sandwich case (you can see the screws on the pics); these will be normally mounted in a separate case just like all the other 60% plates popping up recently).}

It is a plate to build a custom sixty keyboard with a HHKB layout, but using Cherry switches.

That's my ideal layout also!!! If you are able to track down a PCB and stabs let me know! Especially a PCB that supports lighting both within the case (below the PCB) and in switch. I wanna pair this with some zealios

This is freaking awesome! Sorry for being 200% extremely über-noob but I have some questions:
1) you only sell the plate, right?
2) So I need to but the switches (of course), but also stabilizers, case, controller, and PCB?
3) where can I get all that?
4) is there the de facto standard soldering guide here like the mouse 2.0 guide?

I would really like to try this as my first soldering / custom project, but I am also completely new to this.

7u PCB mount stabs are pretty hard to come by. Not sure how many people are going to jump on the plate without them.

Do you have a list of potential sources for people who are interested?

I bought a 7u stab set from imsto store and they took 79 days to arrive 😩

Any plastic insert works, you only need the wires, that can be bended by you, or you can buy them from IMSTO, GON, Winkeyless.

Yea, like I said, it took over two months to get them from IMSTO....  GONs track record with being timely is pretty awful, although I heard he is better when you are only ordering parts.

Winkeyless seems to be $13.00 (USD) shipped to Canada, which isn't bad. Does anyone know of the speed which they ship out?

GON is awesome nowadays, my latest order arrived in less than 30days. Note that it was a full unassembled parts that I order..

hi LeandreN,

what will the 'covered' part look like? meaning no holes on the plate only or there will be some sort of blocker included?

No blockers, it's just that there are no cutouts there.

hmm, need to see samples first then. might be a bit weird with a plate with no holes AND no blockers or sorts. :D

Somebody care to help me / answer my questions?

1. Yes this is only the plate
2. Yes you will need the switches, stabilizers, case, controller, and PCB
3. Winkeyless might be a good option
4. I'm not sure. I would ask around :(

Thanks! Only think I'm wondering is...where to get a PCB? I mean.. you solder the switches also to the PCB right? So what I'm trying to say is, does the PCB also need to be a HHKB layout? Or am I that n00b on this?
