Would any be interested in assembly service? I could source switch (stock only, will not do mods at all!) and put together and test for some limited amount of people... not sure what is the fair price though.

I could be interested, as it might be cheaper than me paying for switches + additional shipping elsewhere.

I might go for that otherwise I'll just put in in my pile and forget I have it.

I think diodes and resistors and controller come pre-soldered, ready to have some switches and LEDs soldered in.
Someone else will have to confirm this though.

IMO, it would be better if we could have more LEDs than only one on the 3rd row of bottom PCB LEDs. And the backlit logo is kinda useless since we couldn't see it when put the keycaps on.  :(

I will doublecheck, I think program utility will be made available. I'll post definite answer later once I have it.

Can this do numpad on the left?

I don't think it would be good, it would require a lot of modifications, but perhaps.

If you have a paypal account, you just need to add the card to your wallet on paypal and select it when you go to pay the invoice.

yes, actually the buyer dosen't even need a paypal account at all to pay the invoices. Can use credit cards or e-checks, no problem. Paypal just process the payments.

Essentially, but with more lighting options on board and more customization options for the case.

That's a good idea but a new order might be interpreted as overriding the old.  In any case I was just curious.  I actually think a couple sets of grey will be just fine for me :)).  Will place an order tonight.

So for the bottom row, would it be possible to do 1.25, 1.25, 1.25, 6.25, 1.5, 1.5, 1, 1, 1 (standard except for on the right side of the space bar, then the arrow keys and a smaller Shift key?)

Probably it's OK to order some extra feet, just send me a note when you get your invoice before pay and I can add.

If there is some combination that is not show explicitly... it probably can still work if it physically fits.

What do you guys think, plate or plateless? I am leaning towards plate for added support, but less customisation is available then..

Just as a heads up, I had to increase the group fee to ensure shipping AND paypal fees for when I pay to them are covered 100%. In any case it's still quite a lot cheaper than taobao agent.

Forgot to check my Paypal email. Paid also.

You're right about it being cheaper than buying through a Taobao agent. The full invoice from you was the same as my cart on bhiner.com with their fees, etc. And that's WITHOUT the EMS shipping from China I would have to pay them.

Thanks again!

so you can build this without a plate and it only costs 105$? smd parts presoldered?

You can, but I think it looks more appealing with at least some type of top cover.

Plate is just plate for switch, not at all needed if you don't want it. Plate serves no required purpose. Top cover 'bezel' comes in the base kit with 2 choice of how tall it is so you already got your top cover. 5mm would be like standard, and 8mm cover up almost half of key sides. So yes, you get a full kit with all the SMD part done for $105 plus shipping. Just add switch, and keycap so then plus another $30-??? depending on what options you take and how good you are at scavenge used.
