Good news, E-Clear finish has been upgraded.

We've added an additional process before applying E-Clear so it will look cleaner!

Also please take a picture of the sides of one of the prototypes, I want to see how the middle piece looks in regards to the top and bottom so I can decide on a colour, thanks!

To add to this request, would it be possible to take a side pic with the middle piece being a different color than the top and bottom?  It would help determine if I would want to just match it with the top or experiment with the color.

Sure. I'm working on it. Here's an example. I'll update more when I get time.

Is it possible to see a render/picture of the full PC keyboard (top, middle and bottom case), without the left blocker and with the kanji logo on both top and weight?

Wait you're showing an ISO compatible plate ! Is that the new plate for this GB ?
Edit : nevermind can't be, there's one vertical row missing

Please think about ISO users, add a split left shift to your "alice style" keyboards

Can you provide a pic of the front and sides of the board? I want to know how mixed colors of top and middle case look.

I'm definitely thinking about joining this GB. Ive been eyeing up a PC board for awhile now. My main question is with the Key Logo in the upper right. If I understand correctly, the actual key logo is a separate piece of aluminum that is inserted into the board. Is the cutting process for this going to be handled well by the poly carbonate making up the board?

Sent my order out. This is going to be my first custom build. I'm pretty excited. Went for a mostly white with a bit of black all-aluminium set with the key logo and I'm putting KAT Milkshake on it. :)

Is shipping to Poland going to cost ~$40 too?

I don't quite understand your question. Do you mean fully assembled keyboard with split spacebar layout and caps on? The answer is no if that's what you asked.

Can you comment on the amount of flex in aluminium and PC plate choice?

When you get pictures of the hotswap pcb, can you take a pic of both front and back? I'm trying to picture what you mean when you say leds strips can be added later. That said, are underglow smd's absolutely off the table? I saw a prior post where you say they have a high failure rate but a lot of the other high end boards(e6.5 and think6.5) as well as lower end boards have underglow with no obvious issues. I've been intrigued by gasket mount and PC cases so this checks all my marks except the missing underglow.

So if it’s screwed on that means we could opt in for it and unscrew it to remove it if we wanted too?

The difference is that you don't need to solder the wire on the MCU.

Here's a photo of a Leaf 60 PCB.

Can you see the VOG pads? They are for soldering the WS2812 LED strips.

Got it, so looks like it'll be simple but a bit ghetto looking compared to presoldered smds. Totally understand tho, thanks for the reply!

I'm pretty sure the sockets would interfere with the mounting holes if they were to accommodate both layouts. They had to go with either one of them and they chose full backspace.

When I choose PC plate, Is there anything that speaks against the rubber sheet between the plate and PCB look-wise?

I haven't decided yet on the exact material of the sheet. The original plan was to use some kinds of foams. It turned out to be very difficult to cut the foams precisely. Laser doesn't work well on most foam materials. My last choice is clear rubber sheets which will work without problems.

The optional sheet will change how the plate looks when you use PC plates.

This. The split-spacebar can only be either 6.25u or 7u, not both. We chose 6.25u.

Additionally this means that you cannot have a split spacebar and wkl top, due to the wkl top not supporting 6.25u spacebar.

I have a couple questions...

First, have you had a chance to weigh the weights?
I'm curious about the weight difference between brass/aluminum, although the lack of a space grey brass option might make that a moot point.

Second, if we make multiple orders, will they be shipped together?
Just wondering if I'll be paying shipping twice if I order two boards, or if they can be combined to save on shipping costs.
