For the last ten years I've been using a Corsair full size cherry red keyboard. I didn't think too much about it until it started to die on me in the last couple of months. This is where I came across the DIY mechanical keyboard scene as I decided that I didn't want a full size keyboard any more as I 1) I needed more space on my desk and 2) I found I've been using the number pad a lot less recently.
Firstly I wanted to build my own keyboard however I found it difficult to settle on a keyboard I wanted and could afford. So I decided to buy the Phantom 87, with a view to mod the hell out of it.
First idea was to add a USB C connector to the back so I can link up my own custom cables, add extra foam and swap out the switches to Glorious pandas.
Any advice would be most appricated.
