Account Activation Issues - New/Registering Users, Please Read!

Easiest method is to head to the new geekhack discord server, #helpdesk channel (link takes you straight there) and leave a note pinging me and mentioning your geekhack username. :thumb:

If you're not on discord, no worries - can always PM me here or on reddit (no chat please). Responses might be just a bit slower.

I just write to confirm that the activation issues are still present.. i was not able to activate my account m2upreacher with my personal email, which is gmail. Now I am m2wpreacher (with w haaahaa)...

wish I could use m2upreacher, since that is the same nick i use at reddit.. please could you still help me activate this account

activation issue is strange.. resent activation code link does not send anything, even if all the fields are correctly entered (checked and it is 100% correct)
forgot password link in this case tells you that you have to activate first
register with a different email was the only option

Thanks for the update! I was actually having trouble with my Gmail activation, so I’ll reach out as suggested. Really appreciate you taking the time to manually help people, makes joining the community much easier!

It’s really helpful to have a thread like this pinned. Account activation problems, especially with Gmail, can be super frustrating for new users. Kudos to HoffmanMyster for keeping communication open and offering manual activation makes the community much more welcoming. The repeated updates over the years show a lot of dedication, and it’s good to know there are multiple ways to reach out (Discord, Reddit, PM) if the automated emails fail. This kind of transparency and support goes a long way in keeping new members from giving up before they even get started.
