Hi, everyone.

Triple Agency brings a new theme keycap design.

Inspired by Braun ET 66.

Signature Plastic is the manufacturer this time, and the keycap height is set to the classic SA height.

Is it possible to do SA in PBT, or is that just not a thing?

SP can do both ABS and PBT, at least in my peanut brain they can.

SP can do SA in PBT (SA-P they call it) but no doubleshot or reverse dye sub SA-P last I heard so no go for this set.

How do you know you'll have a GB in 2021, when you don't even have pricing or vendors?

I've never seen an SA-P set, or even an IC for one. I'd love an SA set though so hopefully someone feels inspired to get the party started.

Really cool color scheme, would have loved regular modifiers with just "Ctrl", "Super", "Alt" and so forth though rather than the silly calculator terms.

Hey this GB is live on Kono, you should make a GB page / link it here if you haven't already. This is such a cool set I'd love to see it work out. Price is pretty steep but I'm still considering buying in.

I will probably join the GB after new year. As an old HP calculator snob and 1970s electronics user this set rings all the right nostalgia bells.

Agreed. But Triple Tension currently only has 13 posts. Per Geekhack's rules, "a minimum forum membership duration of 2 months + post count of 25 are required to create new (GB) threads."

I sent an e-mail to Kono this afternoon asking of it made MOQ, but even the vendors might be in the dark for a few days

The store page at Kono now also confirms the set was cancelled. Lack of updates by the designers in this thread didn't generate much confidence, plus with a hefty price tag and wait time. I had hoped it would pull through after getting a couple mentions on mechmerlin's weekly GB updates, and because the renders on the store looked so nice.

I guess I will go back to waiting for Signature to do a new run of the 1976 set to get my retro-brown.

It's a beautiful retro set. I hope it will get another chance some day. The group buy really needs active promotion by the designer within the community to succeed though.

Please run this in dcs gorton or modified gorton. I would have loved to pick up the set, but SA and the high price is what drew me away. I'm sorry this set didn't make it, even though it's an original idea with great colors.

It would be good to see if the price might be lower in a year or so when the economy might be less messed up, without compromising quality. I wonder how much of the price was some of the unusual modifier key legends? SA profile is one of the things I love about the set.
