Gib dark baseYes please!
why is this epbt?
Will there be a chance for azerty french kit?
why is this epbt?
These novelties are really cool
i love this set so much, all the novelties look great :thumb:
Looks cool, love the novelties.
Although I feel like the keys on the "Extra Tools" kit should be on the base kit. Except the macro keys, i think they should probably be separated.
Please do, preferably in dark alphas :). Also pulsar render error, it should be caps lock there, not back spaceWill there be a chance for azerty french kit?
I can certainly add that!
A few things:
-Please downscale these images to 2K, geekhack is dying trying to get these images to come up.
-Make sure your set is sufficiently different from GMK Pickle (I think that the theme and manu difference is enough but I thought OP should be aware of the similarity)
-please consider making the 40s legends consistent for non-bottom row keys. This is dyesub, you don't need to use GMK legends.
-novs are cool, but I'd prefer to put "run" and "hide" next to each other
This shade of green looks great and really like the novelties, specially the text ones.
I'm just wondering why Quetzalcoatl (which is missing an "L" in the name of your novelties explanation) which is a god is mixed with monsters of legends and folklore.

Images fixed, I think this is sufficiently different from Pickle, the legends are my preference here (there are no real rules about fonts for dyesub)This shade of green looks great and really like the novelties, specially the text ones.

Fixed the spelling on Quetzalcoatl, thank you! While yes, in culture the Quetzalcoatl is a God, in a broader sense Quetzalcoatl is a mythical creature and a cryptid. It might be stretching the lines a bit, but I thought it was a good addition here. Please do, preferably in dark alphas :). Don't be fooled! That is just the Colemak layout!

Dark alphas need a R3 1u pipe with a R4 1u <> for iso support
Oh yea I forgot about the reverse dye sub thing. I guess its fine then.Looks cool, love the novelties.Per the comment on putting the keys from the “Extra Tools” kit in the base kit. All of these keys require reverse dye sub, so that makes them more expensive per key than a normal dye sub key in the same lengths. I wanted to keep the base kit at a more manageable price point.

Hi, I have some kitting feedback for your consideration. Somewhat long post ahead :)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/bcNSewn.jpg)
Seeing as this is EPBT, at the very least R3 PgUp, R4 PgDn should be moved from extensions into the base kit if 65% support is something you wish to have in base. See this image (https://i.imgur.com/tKSXZLN.png) for an explanation.
Other candidates for moving into base, based on utility/popularity, are: 2× 1.5u System + second 1u Alt, second 2.25u Shift, 2u Shift. However, these are less valuable than the two keys mentioned above.
It would be desirable to change the R4 1.25u Menu key in base to either Fn or Meta. This is because Menu is a very inflexible legend that doesn't really work as a substitute for Fn (which is what most people use in that position in their keymaps for most layouts), whereas Fn and Meta can work as both Fn and Menu (as well as other keys).
If visual consistency is a consideration, then perhaps Meta is the best choice here since, unlike Fn, it doesn't look too narrow when placed side-by-side with System.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/Yenlv4M.png)
There is a duplicate R1 M1 key in the extensions kit which can be removed.
I recommend adding a generic R4 1u key (e.g. Code) to either this kit or base. This is a multipurpose key that serves to cover a variety of oddball layouts, 60% and up. For example, it can be used as a R4 Delete key for Minila, GK64 and derivatives; as an Fn2 key for HHKB (e.g. M60-A/Kara) and other layouts; etc.
Some examples of sets that include such a key (which are also examples of great EPBT kitting overall) are: EPBT Grand Tour (https://i.imgur.com/8JNOvU5.jpg), EPBT Be The One (https://i.imgur.com/OFthpLh.jpg), EPBT 6085 (https://i.imgur.com/ptN00eV.jpg).
One final optional addition would be a generic R3 1u key (again, Code can be used) for covering extended 65% layouts like the C70 (https://massdrop-s3.imgix.net/product-images/gmk-uniqey-c70-mechanical-keyboard/dark-gray2_20171212141315.jpg). However, I believe these are rare in actual use.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/jUp09qG.png)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/ruNG8cq.png)
The R4 ;: key in the NorDeUK kits has an incorrect legend — it's supposed to be ,;.
This seems to be a very common mistake in new sets nowadays. It was likely perpetuated by KRK having the same error in its files.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/mhFNSPt.png)
2× R4 1u Sys is likely to be (marginally) more useful than 2× R4 1u Fn for certain 40% layouts. Therefore, I suggest changing the second 1u Fn key to a second Sys.
The second Fn is already covered for by the Meta key, and besides, I don't think anyone uses two Fn keys that do the exact same thing on 40% boards.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/PjPaYqS.png)
Even among 40% boards, 1.75c spaces are quite rare. It's probably not worth including accent variants of that size in the accent spacebars kit.

Although I feel like the keys on the "Extra Tools" kit should be on the base kit. Except the macro keys, i think they should probably be separated.
Also I was wondering if you could add an r2 "x", r3 "-", r4 "+", and a 1u enter for the numpad kit. This would allow for an all 1u numpad. Kinda like the kitting for simple hangul.

i think some of these keys can be used for an ortholinear with a numpad too
After more than a year of lurking these board to see ICs the time has finally come to create an actual account to give my feedback, not because I wanted to give feedback here but because the discord link in your signature just seems to open discord and not link me to your server where I initially wanted to give feedback. Oh well, this is overdue I guess.
First. Love love love this IC. It hits all the right notes for me personally. Awesome theme. awesome color combo independent of theme. Awesome colors chosen to compliment the theme.
Now what I would like to see changed. Can we PLEASE get Bigfoot in the wendigo position on R1 with the two color options that wendigo currently has? All due respect to wendigo but when it comes to cryptids there seems to be two undisputed kings. The Loch Ness monster and Bigfoot. In all likelihood if I buy this set it’s going to go on a 60% layout. The only icon mods I’m likely to use are enter (Nessie) and r1 escape. I understand this may seem trivial or even highly isolated to one specific users needs but I’d wager to guess that for people that don’t go full icon, enter and r1 escape are the most common keys where icon mods are used. I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting the only two icon mods being occupied by the worlds most popular cryptids. Thank you for considering this request.

Not that I'd want to be a party-pooper, but that comes off a bit as a gratuituous but not gratuituous addition. As the "ÑorDeUK" kits stand now, they have partial coverage for a proper es-ES layout (as opposed to "just the one key"), which comes in that uncomfortable "middle ground" where you can place "a few" of the required caps but not all of them.
The es-ES layout requires:
- (already in the SPOOPY kit): R4 <>
- (already in the EERIE kit): R1 2"@ ; R2 E€ ◌̀◌̂[ +*] ; R3 ◌́◌̈{ Ç} ; R4 ,; .: -_ ; AltGr
- (missing): R1 ºª\ 3·# 4$◌̃ 6&¬ 7/ 8( 9) 0= '? ¡¿
The problem can be alleviated and/or aggravated by turning a blind eye to the absence/presence of tertiary legends in several keycaps in R1 and R2, so...
Given this is ePBT and not GMK, could a "proper" South kit be considered instead?
I think you missed the windowed caps lock. It is kinda weird when you already have the windowed num lock, but not for the windowed caps lock.
Looking forward to the updates. Cheers
I wonder if the white on spoopy kit has a bit of green tint on it or not? On the kit it looks like it has green tint but on the keyboard render looks more white.
Great kit anyway!
It looks like a light green tint on the renders and on the kit layout pics to me. I love it.
Update 2 comes with a manufacturer change from EPBT to MilkyWay Keys, along with some ensuing kitting and vendor changes. While this change means a faster delivery and cheaper pricings, it also means my request for french kit becomes impossible due to no available mold in MW? A little sad but I'm still gonna join :thumb:
The manufacturer change is due to the current hold by KBDFans on the EPBT pipeline, which would have greatly delayed this project. An added benefit to this transition is that MilkyWay will be more affordable per kit, can run and will deliver sooner (based on projections from MW), and the reverse dye-sublimation from MW being great.
I have received a full base kit sample of MilkyWay WoB and the reverse dye-sub quality is very good in my opinion. There are some legend alignment issues (inconsistent legend heights across a row). To mitigate these issues as much as humanly possible, I will be manually realigning all of the legends in the template provided to me. Thus, any alignment issues in production will be a consequence of the manufacturing process (this will never be perfect with dye-sublimation, there is a range of error here) and not any human error on my end. There are also a few legends that I will change preferentially from the stock MW legending to match the renders.
Several kits have changed, please see the change log for these. The biggest changes are due to the molds that MW has available. This means that the 6U spacebars, windowed lock keys, and scooped homing keys have been removed. The spill over keys that were originally put into the extra tools kit have been moved into the base kit as the per key pricing from MW is lower than EPBT and allows for more kitting in the base kit at the same price as EPBT. I am still considering adding the numpad back in because of this same reason, depending on the pricing of the current base kit. One key that misses out in the move is the normal R3 1.75U Function key. However, after asking many HHKB users, they said that they would most likely end up using the stepped version regardless, so this key was omitted.
New renders have been added (thanks Izeri) of Manta, a board that Zepsody and myself are actively prototyping. I will create a channel in my discord for the board after we have settled on a few things in prototyping.

Love the set, any chance of two base kits (not really a fan of the light green alphas)?
nvm just saw the discord update, hyped for october :thumb:
