Yes. The test form is null. This is the real form. :thumb:

Right? I think the only ones I don't want are ISO/Europe, and Ergodox. I'm even in for a Planck kit for my non-existent Planck.
I don't think I'll be getting a set, but this groupbuy already looks to be very well run. Gives me high hopes for your other projects that are in the works.

Thanks for your kind words. I hope to have news on that front in the next few days too. Just 3 pictures left to take, edit, and post...

Awesome! I've been typing in the website every single day for the past few weeks, hoping that it would've launched, haha! May I ask what the numbers/ colors on the real time graph means?

The colors indicate the number of participants required for each tier of pricing. The numbers at the bottom (x-axis) show how many people have bought each set.

Oh right, I see it now after reading more clearly. So basically, it's the ones that have choosen to have a set when it reaches the certain drop-points, right? :)

Ordered for my Atreus Keyboard =)
Edit: If I'm in for the highest tier buy, I will be automatically enter for the discount if MOQ is reached?
The graph is a little confusing for me. Maybe I'm not seeing it. I see the bar graph for each set. Are those showing how many bought each child set? If so, why is there a people graph? What am I missing lol
Double Edit: Ah I see it now. Little confusing at first :thumb:
Why SA 1-1-2-3-4-4 instead of SA 3-1-2-3-4-3?
Why SA 1-1-2-3-4-4 instead of SA 3-1-2-3-4-3?
Silly question: does the Ergodox set actually include the alphas, or do I need to buy the base TKL as well?
Basically, are you running this like MD where the Ergodox set is just an add on?
Same question for planck I suppose.
I know this has been addressed, but I am trying to figure out the pricing. For an example:
if I commit to purchase everything at the lowest MOQ (highest price) and by the end of the group buy what I want is at the highest MOQ (lowest price); I will pay the lowest price?

Yes, you will pay the lowest price. :thumb:
"If 150 sets are sold you will pay 2 x $90 = $180 for TWO sets."
Why?
This looks really nice, but why is there no 7x spacebar if some of the sets appear to have keys to outfit a 1.5 - 1 - 1.5 - 7 - 1.5 - 1 - 1.5 bottom row scheme?
Just placed my order, a plank set & the Amity Island add-on my for my incoming Golbat40. I really appreciate your planck set option which eliminates wasting money on the base kit. I hope other companies start doing this too. I might add a few blank space bars to my order, will this be a problem? Never mind, see you want us to PM you. I'm definitely looking forward to keycap set from you.
Why SA 1-1-2-3-4-4 instead of SA 3-1-2-3-4-3?
The ****?!? This is waaaaay past IC. Why do people always do this?
Why SA 1-1-2-3-4-4 instead of SA 3-1-2-3-4-3?
I think both have their merits, but people seem to like 1-1-2-3-4-4 best. I like to give the people what they want. :D

When you finished the form there was a link to edit your responses. If you didn't save that link never fear! Just go into the order form again and it will tell you that you can only fill it out once, and give you the link to edit your order. This will be available until the buy closes.
If you'd prefer you can PM me and I will make changes in the backend. I'd prefer people to make their own changes as much as possible.

Last page of the order form gives you the option to order a 7u spacebar

Sweet signature!
It's not the same image as yours but I'll bet we arrived at them in similar ways. :D
We now need matching cables and sleeves!

I added some signature flair for anyone who wants to promote this set in their signature (and thus bring prices down for everyone by getting more participants ). See the code on the first post.
are these fully sculpted?
Considering how backed up the SA tooling is. What is the ETA of this GB after invoicing ends?
Man this set is wicked cool. Anyone feel like rendering???? :p
Now that I read this again "You commit to 1 base set at 50 MOQ for $110, and 1 base set at 150 MOQ for $90. If only 50 sets are sold you will pay $110 for a single set. If 100 sets are sold, you will pay $95 for a single set. If 150 sets are sold you will pay 2 x $90 = $180 for TWO sets."
When I first signed up in the IC thread, I went through the order form and the form came back recognizing the order form was completed, but there wasn't a summary sheet that said ok here's your total that you will be charged based on your choice selections.
What I'm getting at is that I "tested" it with selecting what I interpreted as oh at this price I would buy 1, at this price I would buy 2, etc. But that's not exactly what you meant. What is referred to in that first quote above is that it would sum the total of the radial choices and then charge you based on the combined total. The order form doesn't tell you a total, so are we "safe" to know that those who join "know" what they are expecting to pay come Feb 21? Would be terrible if people didn't fund the commitment when they realized later what they were going to be charged.
The price is fair, just wanted to make sure we have committed purchasers that don't back out at the end.
Any chance of more price breaks? Barely a day in and we're at the final price break for some of the child deals and close for the TKL and others.
The order form is just a google form. I don't have a good way to pre-calculate the price for the end user or to present a summary.

You have some good concerns here.
The order form is just a google form. I don't have a good way to pre-calculate the price for the end user or to present a summary. You can edit the form again to double-check your responses, however. If anyone finds what they actually ordered to be a shock at the end we can adjust that, and any extra sets they would have purchased will be made available in my store after the buy ships. If too many people end up doing this there could be a problem, but there's enough wiggle room so that if even 15 or 20 sets end up dropping off we'll still be getting the same price breaks.
Joined! Just curious why the red anchor key is only available in the planck set. Would definitely be more interested in the Cape Code set if it included the anchor key.
Understood. Have you thoughts on sending people a "pre-invoice" by email that would show them the total purchase quantity and total cost as of their last google doc sign up?
This may also help those international buyers too so that they arrange in advance the funds they require for payment.
Again, I'm totally aware of your pricing and your system for collecting on the group buy and I completely enjoy your transparency, I am simply offering a comment in the hopes that the orders all around are as accurate as possible and that the group buy is truly the success that it deserves :thumb:
If we can't get in on this GB, will the set be available later in your store?
Watching...hmm...I do have one question: why not make a novelty key with the diving helmet, or did I miss that?
Watching...hmm...I do have one question: why not make a novelty key with the diving helmet, or did I miss that?
The issue is that there is too much fine detail in that design to be successfully double-shot. The design could be simplified some but it would probably end up being unidentifiable in the end. Also, there are already a staggering number of custom legends in this set already. It would look nice if it could be done though. ;D

The steering rigs turned out fine...
I hope some people are ordering 6.25 red and/or yellow space bars. :p
Thanks for the GB! Some quick questions:
1) If I made modification to my order via the same google form, would it be reflected in the final order, or would I have to send a separate email?
2) Is there any way to get the anchor key from the planck set?
At the end of the first day I'm sitting here in disbelief. We're looking at 160 orders in a little over 30 hours. Even more exciting, we've already crossed 250 Base TKL sets sold. That means that no matter what we're paying the lowest price possible for that set. :thumb: The next price break happens at 500, so I'm not optimistic about hitting that, but time will tell. You da reel hero. *crappy clap*
In other news, the Planck has nearly passed the 50 MOQ level. I think it's a safe bet we'll see it made. The Ergodox is off to a slower start, but I would be very surprised if we don't see more sales come in. There are a lot of 'dox users out there, especially with the infinity drops.
Other highlights include the Numpad and Cape Cod, both of which have broken or are about to break the 100 MOQ level. But the star of the add-on packs is Amity Island, which has broken the 150 MOQ. This actually drops the price of the Amity Island set by $1. If we bring that set up to 250 orders we can round that down another dollar for a nice round $20/set.
No matter how the rest of the buy goes you've blown away my expectations. Each of you is awesome, and I can't wait to get these caps into your hands. :thumb:
Look at the sick trident - more people need to commit to the ISO add on for that alone;)
The anchor key is only available in the planck set.
noob question, why does the Homing kit does not includes an F key?
Wow. This really exploded, but ISO and European isn't going very well.
Yet.
i'm in!I hope some people are ordering 6.25 red and/or yellow space bars. :p
I'm going to add both of those colors in 6.25 when I get the chance today.
Just added the a red & a yellow 6.25 spacebar!
Come on everyone lets order more!!!!
Watching. If Eurpopean will unlock then I'am in.
I'm finally in for a TKL, ISO and European.
I take it it's possible to back out if either ISO or Euro doesn't reach MOQ?

To back out entirely, or back out of ISO and Euro? Either way, I would guess "yes."

I'd need to cancel the whole order in that case. Should be possible to just set everything to 0 the last minutes and have it cancelled that way.
I just took a look at PMK's Keycap Status page (http://pimpmykeyboard.com/key-status/) and noticed that this set no longer has an estimated completion date. When can we expect it to ship?Interestly also missing pulse now. I'm really kind of excited to see the relatively few otaku sets, could become one of the rarest sets around.

Can i get an estimate on shipping costs to Portugal?
Awesome! Just to clarify, will the F and J homing be in centered-dot (like Modern Selectric) or a usual concave homing?

I'm still new and this is my first time getting involved with both the SA profile and Signature Plastics. I'm assuming these are doubleshot ABS? Are the keycaps classified as thick or thin?
Thanks in advance :)
Good point. If we agreed that whoever is interested only in a perfect set with Euro kit fills out an order instead of lurking (at least for the Euro kit), we could see if it tips earlier than 5 minutes before deadline which is very risky. The few of us who would be cancelling the whole order if Euro doesn't tip probably won't influence other set's MOQs - a lot of the major ones are at the highest levels. What is the official preferred action on this? Can we cancel if Euro kit will not hit MOQ?

Second...very thick sturdy ABS. Hence the price difference from DSA and DCS.

Skully has said yes. See this Reddit comment chain (https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/43qvp2/buying_gb_nantucket_selectric_modern_selectric/czku90u) for more detail.
What would a Modern Selectric typewriter look like in the timeless Navy/Cream/Yellow palette?Show Image(http://darkstar.frop.org/nantucket_selectric/nantucket_selectric.jpg)Show Image(http://darkstar.frop.org/nantucket_selectric/ergodox_and_european.png)
This set mimics a Selectric typewriter that never was, but could have been. One that would look right at home in your tiny coastal town, sitting on a big oak desk. The navy blue legends sit upon slightly creamy keys, providing a bright contrast that seems to defy the natural darkness of Navy Blue. The golden yellow of YCF on the mods brings out the handsomeness of BBI in a way that no other shade could.

How This Buy Works
Because a larger order results in a lower cost per set, the cost for each set will depend on how many of that set are ordered. You can commit to buy into each set at one of 4 levels. If you commit to a particular level that is not reached that part of your order will not be placed. Everyone will pay the same amount per set.
For Example:
TKL Base sets:
- 50 MOQ @ $110
- 100 MOQ @ $95
- 150 MOQ @ $90
- 250 MOQ @ $85
You commit to 1 base set at 50 MOQ for $110, and 1 base set at 150 MOQ for $90. If only 50 sets are sold you will pay $110 for a single set. If 100 sets are sold, you will pay $95 for a single set. If 150 sets are sold you will pay 2 x $90 = $180 for TWO sets.
This group buy will close on Feb 21.
You will be sent an invoice between Feb 21 and Feb 29. All invoices to be paid by March 7.

Can anyone tell me how accurate that Google real time graphic is?
Also, if the base for the TKL is at, lets say 100, and the total committed is at 300+, would all 300 be charged at $95 or at $85? I need to run some numbers for myself, and need the possibilities.

I mean... It's realtime, like you said. It's literally hooked up to the form.
I don't really understand your second question. Everyone who commits for a set will be charged at the lowest price/breakpoint reached (no matter what level they commit to on the form). I recommend reading over some of Skully's answers on the first page or so--most everything has been asked.

Let's go then? I will submitt my order now for the Euro kit; let's all do it now! :) It will give the euro-kit a MUCH higher chance of tipping if we start showing some interest in it! Spread the word, haha! If someone wants to split it with me, just send me a PM! I need all the caps for a full nordic SE board! If I'm not misstaken, for example UK can split w/ SE.
Hi, I've been lurking around for a while and this is my first post.
I have a question regarding the arrow keys. Is the profile R3 for the UP key and R4 for DOWN, LEFT, and RIGHT keys?
Thanks in advance.

No, that is all R4. Now that we have shift keys that match I wanted to keep everything uniform.

Oh ok. I was puzzled since the profile was different on the Cape Cod Add-On. In for one, maybe two!
Would I be right in making the assumption that these use Cherry stabilisers, not Costar?I'm not sure if you're in the wrong thread but these are keycaps. But just in case, to my knowledge, keycaps are not restricted by which stabilizers are used.
Wait what... INTERNATIONAL TIPPED! :D What a pleasant surprice, there was like 7 orders or something yesterday! :)

Someone must've bought out the rest:D Remaining anonymous, or was it the designer?;) Just tried (for science) setting mine from 1 to 0 and in the graph it seemed at 24.. so we're tightly tipping.) Hope it encourages other people to join in now (maybe so that the tipping guy can decrease his huge buy order).

It looks like someone ordered 10 sets. I've reached out to him to make sure it wasn't a mistake when ordering. However, assuming it wasn't it looks like everyone will be able to build the Nantucket Selectric board of their dreams!
Wait what... INTERNATIONAL TIPPED! :D What a pleasant surprice, there was like 7 orders or something yesterday! :)

Couldn't get the shark mods to work, we'll see in person. You've outdone yourself with the yellow helm duo!
Edit: thanks to whoever bought those, hope it's not a scam and you've got plenty of funds :thumb:

Just keep posting it to /r/mechmarket and /r/mechanicalkeyboards until everyone buys it. MiTo has been advertising his stuff daily. You should do the same. :thumb:
Would I be right in making the assumption that these use Cherry stabilisers, not Costar?I'm not sure if you're in the wrong thread but these are keycaps. But just in case, to my knowledge, keycaps are not restricted by which stabilizers are used.
Any info about red blanks (row 2-3-4) are they close to 25?

I wish there was a way for us to convince SP to make this ahead of all the other sets ;D
Very nice visualization with those new graphs. I'm just very nervous the european kit isn't gonna make it. Can't justify getting this without das Ü.
Noticed when I ordered while ago and thought it was just me, but the homing icons on the Google form are missing "F".
Looking forward to this to drop!
Will the Ergodox Kit be made regardless of order count?
Can you buy just the Amity island kit without the base kit? I love the mods, but I don't need a whole other SA set.
Happy Monday Everyone!
Later today (after I hear from my email host, actually) I will be sending out summary emails to everyone. This email will show what you've committed to, what has tipped, and give you an idea about what your costs may be. If you want to make sure it will come through please make sure "info@clueboard.co" is in your address book, so it isn't caught by your spam filter.
In other news we have a fantastic number of commitments. So far 254 people have signed up (not including cancellations) and a total of 1581 sets have been committed to. Every one of you is awesome, and I can't wait to see what everyone does with this design.
Awesome! I'm still clenching my thumbs hoping that the EU kit will tip... Any clue(haha...) on when the site will go live?
Are there any renders of the base kit w/ Cape Cod or Amity add-ons?

I don't have time to copy and paste from the good looking render right now, but here's some examples with the cape cod kit.

I've started sending out reminder emails to let everyone know what they've committed to and what has tipped. Unfortunately mandrill has a 25 email/hour limit for new accounts, so it may take a while for everyone's reminder to go out. Add "info@clueboard.co" to your address book to avoid having it hit your spam box.

Why SA 1-1-2-3-4-4 instead of SA 3-1-2-3-4-3?
Hey guys, new here.. can someone explain what this means?
We're talking about the row profiles there. It's probably best explained with a photo:
Any stat updates about blanks? Since some of them are already present in other sets, for example 1U R3 and 1U R4 blue blanks in Plank set, will these be automatically available regardless of blank key orders?
Just saw my reminder email, definitely cleared up a misunderstanding on my part on the google form. Are those going to be sent at regular intervals?
Only 6 more for Eu to tip!! If we get stupid close to the tipping point on the 20th I might just buy another one. At what time does the orders stop on the 21st?

I saw this at reddit, I suppose it's the same real time graph as the first one in the OP, though with mouse hover showing numbers, was quite useful before skully posted the "To MOQ" graph (though that is not real time):

I'm in for this. It's always possible to sell it later.
Where in Sweden do you live?
I think I may have screwed something up with the form.
The first time I filled it out, I selected (1) for every MOC.
After the reminder email, I realized my mistake and attempted to edit the form, but it required me to fill it out again. Do I now have two forms floating out there?

any chance of accepting Google Wallet or Venmo?

Ergodox orders keep trickling in. I would be very surprised if it didn't manage to tip.
Hope ergodox makes it

I don't think so, but if you want to avoid paypal I can run you through my store. Most major credit cards accepted that way.

If I were to purchase the base set and the specialty key set, would that be all I need to cap the White Fox with the True Fox layout?

Thanks for the response! If I were to purchase the base set and the specialty key set, would that be all I need to cap the White Fox with the True Fox layout?
I am getting this set for true fox too. Base set and specialty set should be enough to cover most of the keys, though you might want to get a R3 1u key for the right side. If you want to get certain colour to match the right right of the board, you can go for blank 1u keys. Because I have ordered the numpad set, will be using some of the keys for that.
My planned layout for exampleShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/K6Sp1uu.jpg)

Hey, a fellow Minila owner! Do you know what we need to order to fit the board? I was thinking just the specialty would be needed.

Dammit I've already bought too many sets this year...
I'm sure I'll cave in a day or two.
I've got a question regarding the numpad kit: does the plus key go above or below the minus?
Not sure to follow the renders on the first post or the order form's image. Trying to replicate what krisst did, but if it is the latter, blanks for me!Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/gu79J08.jpg)
Will these caps be smooth or rugged?I believe all SA keysets are smooth.
IMHO you should add another graph including the "committed" in the count for the next MOQ :)
In the ergodox example, the graph currently shows 25 because there were no actual sales. However, some people committed to the 50 MOQ (say 35 for the sake of argument). The (new) graph should then say 15 needed for the MOQ.
PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES OF BLANK KEYCAP
WTF happened to the EU sales ?Seems so :( Even if we hit 25 EU sales by the end of the week but someone does not pay up, what happens then?
Did they just un-reach MOQ ?

Skullydazed, are you planning on posting to r/mk for the second time before the end? You've posted to mechmarket twice though not to the main subreddit, there might be people that missed it a few weeks ago (I'm glad I was active then). Not that it's that important since I'm sure all kits will tip at the end of the week..
Would the specialty kit support the Leopold FC660's odd sized right shift?
PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES OF BLANK KEYCAP
I was working on that over the weekend. I need to get a quote based on current quantities however.

is numpad, speciality, and amity island unlocked for cheap price?

It's a shame we can't buy the European keys separately per country, I'd like the 2+" & 3+£ & ~+# keys, as I'd like a UK keyboard but can't justify spending so much for 3 keys!!
Deep dish for qwerty isn't included in the base set, right? I'm looking at the homing kit but it doesn't include F in the picture.

What do you guys order 2U R3 for? Is that for Planck spacebars to have them slightly downturn? That would be my guess, though my personal preference is to flip all the keys I hit with my thumbs from R4 to R2 mode. It takes the edge off of using a concave keytop for a spacebar.
I actually thought it would be a success for all of them to reach MOQ especially the part of the set that I really like. I didn't mean to make it like I need it to be $2 off :/.19 more sets of specialty keys plsss

Hey skully, in the matrix w/ prices you have two price columns switched for the Dvorak/Colemak kit, MOQ 25 is $30 and MOQ 50 is $32. Maybe more people will lower their MOQ if you confirm and correct it.) thanks!
GL to other kits that are close to higher MOQs, still a day left!
Is it possible to buy a number stripe row separately? like to help turn the planck set into atomic?
EU kit is a rollercoaster ride !
Will there be a point before payment where the available kits are confirmed ?

With just about 24 hours left in this buy I thought I'd provide some final updates.
First, if you have any change to make to your order GO DO IT RIGHT NOW. Seriously. Once I close the buy changes will be difficult and error-prone. You'll receive a final reminder email on Monday describing your committed sets and letting you know what your estimated costs will be.

Should we have already received an email?
Why are so many people ordering 1u R4 keys
- Question on the blanks:
How should we fill out the form if we want a quantity of multiple colors? For example, if I want 1 red and 1 yellow 1U R1 blanks, would I enter that as:
1 RDD, 1 YCF
I know it's down to the wire, but do you have a current list of blanks that are likely to meet MOQ?
At this point all the sets have tipped. I don't think any of them (even the EU kit) will backslide.
The Group Buy Is Officially Closed!
Thank you to everyone for participating. Here are some preliminary numbers:
- Total people: 430
- TKL: 514
- Planck: 135
- Ergodox: 62
- Numpad: 213
- Homing: 280
- Dvorak/Colemak: 35

- European: 28
- Mac: 62
- Specialty Keys: 167
- Cape Cod: 232
- Amity Island: 361
- Total Sets: 2202
This does not count the group buys from Vietnam and China, each of which brings in another hefty chunk of orders.
Tomorrow I analyze and verify orders and start sending out invoices to people who did not order blanks. If you ordered blanks it may take me a couple days to figure out what blanks will get made and get an invoice to you.
Yay, both ISO and TKL tipped again; pretty close with the ISO :O I suppose extra spacebars is included in the blank delays as well?
I hope the blank 6.25 spacebars made this group buy. I'm looking forward to the results. Thanks Skullydazed for this group buy & thanks to everyone that made it successful!
Hi everyone, just some updates as I work to finish up this buy.
The first update is that I've put together an automated payment/invoice system. When it's time to pay you will have the choice to pay using Paypal or Credit Card. If you pick Credit Card you will get a slight break on your payment processing fees. You will also be helping me avoid problems with paypal holding this money for an excessive period of time. I have to send SP the full amount at the time I place the order, but I know that paypal will be holding a certain amount for 21 days since my account is too new to have enough history for a buy of this size. I have a small business loan that can cover either eventuality, but the less of that I have to use the better. :)
Here are some numbers for everyone to chew on. These are the quantities I'm sending over to SP for a quote, unless there are a higher than expected number of orders that aren't paid here are the quantities I'll be ordering. First up, the sets themselves:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/8Ud5VV2.png)
As you can see every set hit the minimum MOQ at least. These numbers include the inventory I'll be stocking in my store after the group buy completes, which is why they're so round. :) I got updated pricing for 500 sets of the Base TKL set, and that cost to us is down to $82/set. There also may be a price break for Amity Island at 500 sets, but the discount probably will only be $1 at the most. Amity Island is small and the price breaks at very high MOQ's aren't as good.
Here are the current blank orders:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/lB5cBWB.png)
Anything that has at least 25 orders is guaranteed to get made. Anything below 10 is unlikely to be made, but I will be asking about the possibility. Anything between 10 and 25 is a solid maybe. I am about to email SP, and I will know more once they get back to me.
As soon as I get final pricing back from SP I can start sending out invoices. You should see those start to go out by Friday at the latest. You will have until 3/7 to pay. The order will be placed with SP on 3/8 and will be paid for shortly after. At that point we will have secured our time on the production calendar and will have a good idea of when this will ship.
Thanks for sailing Nantucket Selectric, watch your email for the next steps!
When you say it takes 10 blanks to make a maybe, is that by color or by size?
Also a general question, why are there so many R4 1U blanks? I used to think if you were doing a blank board it would be R3. Maybe im missing something.
Can we put in changes for options on the blanks? One of mine probably wont be made so I just want to switch it to a different color.
aww man, how did I not notice this GB!? :'( I've been trying to find an SA profile set that I like for some time now and this one looks great.
Don't suppose there's any chance to still get in on this

Skully is going to stock these at his store https://shop.clueboard.co/ once the sets are made. You'll be able to pick one up there once that happens.
Hey Skullydazed, please post as soon as the invoices go out and let us know when all invoices are out. The last notices came through fine, but just don't want to get this far only to be an idiot and not pay my bill :thumb:

I'm just waiting for an answer back from SP on blank pricing and the final kit pricing, so I don't send out invoices with the wrong amounts. I'm sorry, I know this wait is frustrating.
Nah, it's much more refreshing for you to wait to give us an answer than toss a bunch of different ones out. Thanks for updating here when invoices go out, could you also do it on the reddit side of things as well?
Hi!
I got your 1st email that show the moq.

Hi Hung Nguyen.
You should relax and waiting ;).
Just a quick update for tonight-
I've finished working out the blank pricing, as well as determining which blanks will be made. The two most expensive keys (not counting spacebars) that passed are 1.25U R4 in White and Yellow, at $3.67/key. Here's the table of prices:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/UYdO6IB.png)
Any blanks with a price of 0 will be automatically removed from your order. If you absolutely can't live without a particular key in a particular color, and are willing to pay the $50 setup fee plus a per-key cost, PM me and we can add your blank to the list.
On the subject of invoices I'm trying to wrap up the invoicing system tonight. I don't think I'll get it all done tonight, and I'll be at the kiibohd meetup tomorrow, so you can expect to see those go out on Sunday. I apologize for continually pushing back, but this buy turned out to be 3 times larger than I initially expected, so I'm trying to make sure that I've accounted for the foreseeable problems.
Is there anyway i can add some spacebars to my order too?

There are 16 requests for 1.25 R3 blank, 8 requests for BBI. And no 1.25R3 would be made.
There are 11 requests for 1.75 R3 blank, 5 requests for BBI. But 1.25R3 BBI would be made at 1.24 a piece.
Could you please help me understand why with more requests 1.25R3 would not be made?
Some prices are weird only according to that table. But I think you have to look at the bigger picture that it's getting made together w/ the rest of the legended sets where some colours or sizes are more frequent than others hence resulting in different total numbers than the numbers only for the blanks. IMO SP probably takes into account the total number of specific size-colour-profile options, not only the blank numbers.
You can notice the yellow in the table is more expensive than other colours even though more numerous w/r to blanks. That might be due to the low number of yellows in the legended sets and higher number of other colours in there.
Just my inference, I don't think those are skully's mistakes. If something's super weird ofc point it out.)
The example you asked about - There's a LOT of blue 1.75 R3 made in the TKL set (though legended) as a Caps Lock key, however, there's none 1.25 R3 in the TKL.

How long have we got to pay? I've not paid myself yet, but will do in the next week
Skully, couple of queries after getting my invoice through,
There's no mention of shipping cost anywhere on mine, is this to be paid at a later date?
I also noticed the TKL listed at $85 when there was previous mention of $82 for the 500 price break.
I've fired off the script that sends the invoices. You should be getting an email sometime between now and tomorrow morning (PST) detailing your order, including blanks. Inside is a URL you can use to pay for your order. I'm still working on the PayPal problem, but you can pay with Credit Card now or you can wait until Wednesday when I will enabling Paypal payments.Got my invoice, but you don't take AMEX? I'm on vacay, and will have to wait for PayPal to pay, as I only have access to my AMEX right now. I'd much rather avoid PayPal to help you out if I can...
Shipping will be invoiced when your order is ready to ship, to give you the lowest possible shipping price.--
I got updated pricing for 500 sets of the Base TKL set, and that cost to us is down to $82/set.

Sorry to be a cheapskate, but on my invoice the TKL set is showing up as $85, not the $82 you state here. In addition, Speciality is showing up as $32, despite it hitting the 250MOQ to bring it down to $30.
Any reason for this? Thanks
How are the payments being processed on clueboard.co (Stripe, etc)? I usually think twice before entering credit card details into a website that just POSTs to itself instead of a third party.

I have a merchant account with authorize.net. This is hosted on a dedicated server with no other apps that has been locked down. Your information isn't stored anywhere, it's only sent to authorize.net and then discarded.
PayPal fee: in the email it's calculated right, adding 4%. On the email link/website the PayPal column has a 4.82% fee. Could you please fix that before enabling the PayPal method? Thanks! I presume it's not only my order, but a mistake in the formula in the web table..

For paypal 4% fee, I am getting 4.41% fee instead.
Was unable to pay using credit card. Tried multiple cards, kept getting "Error: Credit Card Billing Address Mismatch!" error.
Guess I have to wait till things are sorted out.

take_home = merchant_fee - (merchant_fee * 0.029) - 0.30
(take_home + 0.30) = merchant_fee - (merchant_fee * 0.029)

The 4% fee was an approximation so you didn't have to do a lot of math. As it turns out, I should have double-checked that value before I sent out invoices, because I accidentally used that as the paypal fee percentage and not the 3% I meant to. I said 4% initially because there's a per-transaction fee to account for too. Thank you for checking my math and catching this early while it's still easy to fix. :)
Thanks skully! Any word about AMEX?
If you're outside the US and you were not able to pay before, try it again and it's 85% likely it will work for you now.It did work now, thanks :)

I apologize, I'm not sure what you're asking here. These are the colors in the set and their approximate hex equivalent:Code: [Select]* Yellow- #ffdc68

I wonder why deskthority has Signature Plastics WV as #dad4c4, much greyer than #fffeee. Maybe because those are unofficial readings? I didn't find anything else so I believed it. To me it's great news if the cream is rather more gentle/creamy.) w/e, you have the plastic samples in person so I believe you picked it best!
Paypal is now live!
Some of you may have tried to use paypal before I got all the kinks worked out, but PayPal is now live and ready for use. Please let me know if you run into any issues.
Woop woop! I got debitated two times despite the address verification error. Check your balances :)
Also, did you guys get a receipt by email after the payment were complete? Because I didn't, and if so my money will bounce back in a couple days. :/
You will be invoiced for shipping after the keysets have been manufactured. This is estimated to be June or July of 2016.
@skullydazed Just thinking loud, but maybe implementing Stripe (https://stripe.com) would be another solution. Their fees are reasonable and their API is very good.
I would absolutely to to make this easier for you and use CC payment, but I only have a debit card which doesn't give me any buyer protection.
If there is still trouble with Paypal, will you be extending the payment deadline?
Should I be worried that I never got my invoice?
I can't seem to find a invoice email :(. I know I filled out the survey, with my correct email and all. Don't want to miss out on this keyset :(
All paid! Sucks about Paypal having issues, but my CC went fine. One question: on the shipping invoice can you please make sure there is a second address line for those of us in apartments? The billing address didn't include that.
There is not option to pay with PayPal :(
Any ETA on when paypal will be enabled? I will only purchase via paypal.
Is there a confirmed shipping date yet? I apologize as I'm sure it's been asked 100 times already.

The confirmed date will happen once the order is placed with Signature Plastics. The estimated date is June or July.

Hey guys check out what my mom made for me after I showed her the keycap set :DShow Image(http://imgur.com/GiJtO9f.jpg)

That's a very nice piece of needlework. How long did she spend on it?
A few questions out of curiosity. Do all of the stepped keys use offset stems? Also, what's the intended purpose of the 1U backslash and backspace in the Specialty kit? They would be perfect for those of us still using a board with the wide-J Enter key (like my 7G), but there's no such Enter key available.
I'm having issues paying with my card. If paypal isn't up by tomorrow, will I not be able to pay?
I didn't think anyone still used a big ass enter. :)

I'll have news about paypal tonight. Just have to go to dinner with my family and then wrap a couple things up. :)
Paypal is up!
...
The original due date was tomorrow, but I'm going to extend the deadline until 11:59PM PST on Tuesday, March 6. Please wrap up payment before then.
Only received receipt from Paypal transaction. Hope we will get a confirmation of our payment being successful.

You have the PayPal confirmation and if you visit the same link you paid from (the invoice email from skully), you'll see a "confirmation" there that your order has been paid and your transaction ID. I think that's enough, I presume he would be sending the same confirmation that is already there via email if you pressured him to do it:D

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked all the 3 email invoice that have been sent to me. Seems like all of them have the same link url, which is good. Means that the link is only for my order. I noticed the url shows /order/250/(Some hexidecimal). Maybe my order number is 250, not sure, however the Paypal receipt's description shows Nantucket Selectric 252. Payment is to Originative Co. which is fine because skully have informed us about some of the payment will go through Originative, as they are helping to facilitate this group buy.
Anyways, clicking the invoice link again, shows me the same page before payment. No paid confirmation and transaction ID. If they cross check the Paypal email to my order email address, they should be able to find my payment.
Will have to wait and see.
I love it so much!!! ;D
If anybody would like to resale it, plz contact me.(prefer China)

I see. Maybe your payment isn't linked yet, I paid a couple days ago already.
When I click on the pay URL in the "Nantucket Selectric Invoice" email that is in the form you described (order/xxx/...), I no longer see the payment options but I'm forwarded to this confirmation:
(Attachment Link)
If you paid via the URL you got in your email then I wouldn't worry..
I apologize for not being clear last night. I finished that stuff and typed that update from my car in the pouring rain because a tree fell on the power line feeding my entire area last night. 5000 people still without power (including me.) This is another update typed from the car in the pouring rain. :)
If you pay to Originative the payment page will not reflect that right away. Your payment has still been received though! Save the email paypal sends you as an initial receipt, and your order page will update to reflect your payment by Friday.
I did make a mistake and meant to write March 8, not March 6th. As I write this you have approximately 38 hours left to pay.
For some reason, when I try and go to pay for the keyset w/ PP, it says that my session has expired....
Paid up and can view my transaction status on clueboard. Can't wait!
I also did not receive any confirmation email by the way, but my status is paid and I have an order number per the website I was emailed.
For anyone that's paying to Originative, I mark your order paid manually. There can be a good delay between you paying, Originative reporting it to me, and me marking it as paid. Eventually everyone's order will be marked appropriately, though.
Only 45 minutes left before the deadline! Please get your payments in now!
Oh maaaan.. I missed this one... :'(

We're ahead of Pulse round 2 :D

Some of the committed MOQs are lower now. If the rest of the people don't pay up (some surely won't considering they haven't by now) you'll have to charge us a few additional bucks. Sucks for organisation.. Hope we secure our SP position soon so we're still produced before Pulse.)
So, I've never joined one of these before. I remember seeing a post regarding blank keys, that SKUs with under 20 orders might not be made. Looking at the commitment numbers in that post versus those currently paid, some of the blanks are pretty badly affected.
Is there any chance the affected purchasers would have the option to throw in a few more bucks to ensure the keys they need get created?
I'm willing to do that for the BBI - 1.5U - R2 size, if anyone else is in for that one let me know. :)
Hi,
I placed the order but was waiting for paypal issue to fix, was crazy busy due to work and totally forgot to check the board. Is it too late to may payment via Originative?
If you still haven't paid you have a little time to pay by credit card. If you must pay by paypal please contact me and we'll see what we can work out.

If you check your order summary, assuming you have ordered and paid, it mentioned "June or July of 2016. We will be invoiced for shipping after the keysets have been manufactured."
Which also means we will have to do another payment when the keycaps is ready for shipment. I hope by that time, all the payment methods will be smoother.
The date from SP schedule, 29th April might be too optimistically fast.

This buy is going just fine. :) I just got home from a day spent at the (newly repaired) laser cutter catching up on my backlog of clueboard orders. Tonight after I finish packing and shipping the last of the orders I'm behind on I will double check the summary one last time and email SP with the order. It takes a while to double-check 400 payments. ;) There are still a few I need to follow up on, but I will place the order anyway and if the follow-ups can't be resolved those sets will go into the Clueboard inventory.
Thanks for your patience everyone, I will have more news later tonight.
A bit bummed to know 100% that SP jumped the gun with the estimates, but I had a feeling that was the case anyway.
On the upside, I did get a shipping notice for my Clueboard switch tester, so that's exciting! :thumb:
I was worried I was gonna have to pester skully some more to find out what was going on haha
The laser cutter was down for a week due to a burned out switch. Took a couple days to track down the problem and source a working replacement. Luckily they got it working last Friday and I was able to catch up on my backlog. Hope you enjoy that!

I expect to have received an invoice from SP by the end of the week and we'll have paid and secured our place in line not long after.1976 SA ended last night. I'm also a part of that. Are we going to be before/after it, or does SP have the facilities to manufacture in parallel?
I'm not sure what their facilities are in general, but I know that Modern Selectric Black and Troubled Minds were in production in parallel. I imagine after we've paid we'll get a definitive answer in the form of the PMK status page.
Hi Everyone,
I don't have much to say right now but I wanted to give an update anyway. I've sent Signature Plastics our order and invoices have been issued to me, Originative, and the Vietnamese GB leader. The dollar amount sent to the other two was correct, but what I received was not what I expected. I believe I have found the discrepancy and am waiting for SP to issue a new invoice to me. As soon as that's been issued I will pay and our spot in the queue will be confirmed. I will have a firm estimate of delivery date at that point.
I hoped to have completed payment before my next update, but that's taken a little longer than I expected so I wanted to let everyone know what's going on.
I wish I had gotten into keycaps a few years ago.. I need SA's in my life.
Anyone know where I can get some?

Clueboard store have Modern Selectric SA set. Check it out.
Just got into the Royal Glam wooden 60% case. I'm sure you can tell my plans :D
Just checked the status list over on PMK: There is now an estimated completion date of August 31st. :)

Now I'm trying to figure out a way to make a rope USB cable for my Pok3r..
Crocheting looks too sloppy, and I don't think twine would work for coxcombing around a cable like that.

Possible option for one you can do at home? As long as the thread's appearance is rope like enough.

I'm super sad that I missed this (and not sure how I did). If there are extra sets for TKL, I would be very interested.
Hi Everyone,
Just checking in to let everyone know that there is no news. Our place in line has been secured and there is little to do but wait.
BTW, I love reading about everyone's plans and progress. I'm thrilled that my set has inspired such creativity and can't wait to see what else you all have in store.
Thought I would share my plans;
Walnut wood case
Pok3r pbc (with blue mx)
Nantucket keyset
Knotted brown rope usb cable
It will be an absolute perfect board.
Ready for Nantucket Selectric :)Dope! I'm interested in doing something similar... Where did you get this done? Does anyone have any suggestions/experiences for online laser-cutting/CNC services?Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/EJh6kD1.jpg)
Made a wooden case for my clueboard with laser cut bamboo. Sanded, added a darker stain and a matte finish.

Yah I am sad I missed this set by about a month:( Oh well, maybe next time unless somebody has a TKL they want to sell the spot for!
. . . there will be some in stock on https://shop.clueboard.co/ once it finally arrives.
Hello folks,
I need to figure out the color codes of all those used in this set. I think I'm going to convert this for my Planck or Ergodox. Not sure yet.
Is there a resource that lists them? I could also use Pulses & Granites as well.

Hello folks,http://keypuller.com/archive/ is also good for listing the color codes on the past sets that have happened.

Of course Nguyen gets first dibs but if he passes I'm ready to go!
I recently and sadly (like so many others before me) have decided that SA is not for me. I will be parting with my set (Base, Numpad, Homing, Amity Island, Cape Cod, Yellow and Red spacebars, and yellow blank gamer keys).

Guys, if anyone wants to give up their Ergodox set, I will be ETERNALLY GRATEFUL. I have the perfect wooden ergodox build incoming and I need the Ergodox expansion!
seems like GH is suffering from some financial issues, is there a backup communication channel for this GB, in case, i mean just in case, GH is gone?
Do you have any update of GB???seems like GH is suffering from some financial issues, is there a backup communication channel for this GB, in case, i mean just in case, GH is gone?
I have everyone's email, and that's how you'll first learn that the sets are in hand and ready to ship.
What set contains a 7u spacebar?
Saw this on PMK http://pimpmykeyboard.com/key-status/mmm nice, hopefully everything stays smooth sailing.
"Nantucket Selectric (SA) In production Expected completion 8/31."
Expected completion... TOMORROW. :thumb:Hype!!!
I just got an update from Melissa- they're running a couple days behind, but will be ready to ship on Tuesday. An extra 2 work days is not bad considering we've had the estimated date for at least 4 months now. I wish I could plan my work so far ahead with such precision. :cool:I can't believe it's almost here!!! Thank you for everything :)
Assuming the package(s) go out on Wednesday, and UPS takes the normal amount of time, I should have them in hand by the next Friday. From there we (my wife and I) will be breaking them down into ready-to-ship orders and weighing them. Shipping invoices will go out as we get individual orders weighed and ready to ship.
Better get those barnacles scraped, hoist the mainsail, and ensure your vessel is seaworthy, because Nantucket Selectric sets sail soon.
HYPE!
While I may not have the perfect board for it yet, still really looking forward to this set!

Really want to do a 60% with a wooden case, but I was really wanting to do an MX HHKB, but I didn't order a 7u spacebar. What to do, what to do.
I didn't order a 7u spacebar either :(

Skully, time for R2. Right now! This needs to be fixed! :))
Yeah, I know, I'm just not sure that any spacebars will come up since those were special order, not part of any specific set.

He's said that Clueboard is going to stock Nantucket, though at a higher price.

Will there be heads up before extras are added to the site?Good question. I need to snag a Planck kit.
Are add-on kits gonna be sold in the store / does anyone have a spare add-on kit?
I'm actually just camping this thread for the big reveal I need to see this keyset so much.Yeah I've had this thread open at work for hours...

If you would rather let me dole out sets and not have to deal with selling your spot yourself I'm happy to refund you (or anyone else.) I'm keeping a waiting of people who would like to get in on the buy. (PM if you want to be on that list.)
If you'd rather sell the spot yourself I'm cool with that too. In order to successfully transfer the order I will need to get a PM or email from both buyer and seller. Anyone buying someone else's spot in the group buy will be responsible for shipping costs, so please make sure the buyer knows that.
NS isn't my highest priority right now, so please be patient if you're asking me about any of this. When it gets closer to shipping time I will again be very responsive to NS requests, but for now I'm focusing on the other cool stuff I'm doing. :)
In other news... no news is good news! We continue to wait for manufacturing to happen and until production starts we won't have a firm idea of whether the 8/31 date will be met. So far every indication is that PuLSe and 1976 are on track, so I expect that shipping invoicing will happen in September as planned.
I'm actually just camping this thread for the big reveal I need to see this keyset so much.
I missed out as well, I joined here a little too late. Will any extra sets be listed on the SP site, or somewhere else?

Pretty sure it'll go up on clueboard.
I will be adding an optional Geekhack Donation field.
You should set up a Skully the Captain donation button as well. I'd be willing to spare a few bucks directly to you since we'll be sending a payment for the shipping anyways. Your design and GB has been a pleasure to be a part of. Or at least I hope you're profiting from the GB, you've spent a lot of time on it.. Doing a service to the community is great, but everyone needs to feed themselves..

I appreciate the sentiment. Every GB organizer puts a lot of time and money into these, and we should be asking this question to make sure that people don't overstretch themselves or do too much uncompensated work.
For Nantucket Selectric I baked in 5-10% extra on the key sets themselves to hedge against unforeseen problems. Some of that gets sopped up by things like the calculation mistake early in the paying process, but any money left over will go into the Clueboard business. I also have the retail sets to sell, and the GB helped me to get a lower price for those. Bottom line is while it's probably less than minimum wage on an hourly basis I do get some money from the GB.
More importantly I hope I'm demonstrating my ability to run these. There have been delays and mistakes like any group buy, but I've enjoyed the process and hope to run many more in the future. As time goes on the software I write to automate the process will improve, and that will translate into less time invested per group buy (and higher quality results.)
And if you'd like to do more, I have a online store (https://shop.clueboard.co/) and sell custom keyboards that would look fantastic with Nantucket Selectric. :D
Hey there Skully, I (think) I PM'd you a few weeks ago about an address change, but I never heard back. I'd just like to check, in case that was missed. (If you've already printed my shipping slip, I'd be happy to repay for shipping if need be.)
Also, any chance you have a spare ergodox mod set? If at all possible, I would LOVE to add that to my order, as I just got my hands on an ergodox infinity.
Thanks!
(Oh, and if there is somewhere that all you wonderful geekhack people know of that I should be contacting skully through other than the forum, please let me know!)

Those details will come out. In the meantime you should get yourself on the waiting list if you aren't on it yet. (Email info@clueboard.co to get on.) That's where I'll be sending details first.
BTW, if you originally PM'd on reddit to get on that list PM me again with your email. I'm working through PM'ing everyone on reddit but there are like 50 of you and reddit makes me do it one at a time.

Just a quick one before I dive into dealing with 17 boxes of keycaps. (Tomorrow the 18th box will get delivered.) First on the agenda: Counting to make sure everything is accounted for.
I want to let people buy retail sets when they pay for shipping. I'm still figuring out what that looks like.

He said on Reddit after someone spotted that Cape Cod has an R3 up arrow while TKL has R4:
Looks like a mistake in the preview. Thanks for catching that! Cape cod will have an arrow to match the base set.

i'm guessing that means those of us who need kits are guaranteed to be able to get them? (rather than hope to find them in stock on the website)
Also, am I the only one that notice the alphas are whiter than expected? Have to see it in person.
Also, am I the only one that notice the alphas are whiter than expected? Have to see it in person.
I agree when looking at the photo of the fullsize, but the first image looks much better. I would say the Fullsize one is overlit, and the frame being white aswell might be another factor that kills the Cream color in the fullsize picture.

If you look at the very first picture I posted you can see that my WV chip is creamier than what I received in the NS caps. They're definitely whiter than I expected too. However, it's close enough and the set still looks really great.
Hey skullydazed, I tried PMing you my email to confirm my place but it seems like I'm blocked for some reason :(
So, in person, the white caps are not true white? Can the finish (cap vs. color chip) on the plastic change the perceived color that much or is it possible SP mixed the wrong color? I'd like to try to get some of the child sets this time and get the rest of what I need in round 2 (please tell there will be a round 2), but if there's a chance the R2 white caps won't be the same tint of white as the R1 caps, maybe I'll wait for R2.
I have the new version of the site posted. If you have your order link from one of the invoice emails that still works. If you do not have your order link you can have it emailed to you here:Website works excellent!!!
https://nantucket.clueboard.co/login
I have tested this as much as I am able, but as always bugs may crop up. If you encounter an error please email me (info@clueboard.co) and let me know what you were doing. I will get it fixed up as quick as I can.
Improvements over the original payment site:
- No more google sheet! All data comes from MySQL! Fast! Fast! Fast!
- It now shows your order breakdown accurately, including how much of a deposit you paid.
- Page loads are fast!
- If you are one of the 20 people who overpaid your deposit it highlights how much credit you'll get towards shipping costs.
- Zippy page loads!
With these updates here is what the roadmap currently looks like:
Reconcile ordersMove orders out of Google Sheets and into MySQLModify current nantucket site to pull from MySQL instead of Google SheetsWrite feature to add more blanks/child sets to your current order at the retail pricePush live to production- Write feature to sell sets to people on the waiting list
- Push live to production
- Write feature to pay balance due
- Push the payment feature
- People can now pay and receive their NS order
That about wraps it for this Nantucket Selectric update...
Well, there is one more thing: You can now request Child Sets and Blank Keys to be added to your order at retail! To accommodate everyone who has had a change in needs since last March, I've opened up requests for child sets and blank keys. These requests will be filled from the retail inventory.

One of the things I have strived for in this group buy is to be both open and fair. With that in mind I'd like to share my current thinking about the waiting list and solicit any feedback you, the community, may have. Currently I have 125 people on the waiting list. I have more behind a proxy in China who would like to get these sets to people there who are on his waiting list. This adds up to more people than I have TKL sets available. So if I am an original group buy participant who emailed you already to get on the waiting list for an additional kit, should I also click on the "Request child sets" button and do it there?
I have the following sets available at the GB price:
- TKL: 9
- Homing: 3
- Cape Code: 2
- Amity Island: 5
- Specialty: 5
- ISO: 2
- European: 2
- Mac: 1
I have the following sets available at the retail price:
- TKL: 100
- Planck: 30
- Ergodox: 25
- Numpad: 50
- Homing: 60
- Dvorak/Colemak: 23
- ISO: 15
- European: 5
- Mac: 25
- Specialty: 50
- Cape Cod: 50
- Amity Island: 60
- Blanks: Too many to list, but a handful of each
I would like to get this set out to as many people as possible. I would also like to make sure that the people who paid last Feb/Mar are able to build their dream board, since they put up their money and have waited patiently for manufacturing and shipping. This is my current plan for distributing the available sets between these groups with differing needs:
- Group Buy participants will have until next Sunday to request Child Sets and Blanks.
- Waiting List participants will have until next Sunday to request Base Sets, Child Sets, and Blanks. (Coming soon, please hold tight.)
- Group Buy participants will have their requests for Child Sets and Blanks fulfilled first.
- If there are more requests for a blank/set than there are blanks/sets available they will be distributed via lottery.
- Waiting List participants will have their requests for Base Sets filled in order.
- After Base Sets have been distributed, Child Sets and Blanks will be distributed among those who received a Base Set.
- If there are more Child Set or Blank requests than there are available sets, the recipients will be chosen by lottery.
Please let me know if you have any concerns about this plan. I have put a lot of thought into how to handle this fairly, and I hope I have struck a good balance.
So if I am an original group buy participant who emailed you already to get on the waiting list for an additional kit, should I also click on the "Request child sets" button and do it there?

That's because there was no "Planck kit" like you see with most other keysets. The Planck set included all of the keys you would need for a Planck, including the alphas.

Guess I can order blanks to complete the "kit", as I already will have the alphas.
This adds up to more people than I have TKL sets available.I'm glad I just checked in; even though, I'm late, I filled out that request form. I hope I'm able to score those 3 sets that I'm interested in.
Did you follow skllys link to the new site and type your email?I have the new version of the site posted. If you have your order link from one of the invoice emails that still works. If you do not have your order link you can have it emailed to you here:
https://nantucket.clueboard.co/login
No email for me :(

Ordered for my Atreus Keyboard =)
Edit: If I'm in for the highest tier buy, I will be automatically enter for the discount if MOQ is reached?
The graph is a little confusing for me. Maybe I'm not seeing it. I see the bar graph for each set. Are those showing how many bought each child set? If so, why is there a people graph? What am I missing lol
Double Edit: Ah I see it now. Little confusing at first :thumb:
Skully, any time frame when those special Clueboard keys would be ready? Hopefully will get more details on that.
Thank you!

Good news everyone! I got word from SP that the Clueboard caps shipped today! I wasn't expecting that until next week at the earliest.
Work continues on the sorting/shipping front. Last night I sent update emails to everyone. If you didn't get yours please check your Spam folder. If you can't find it anywhere email info@clueboard.co so I can look into it.
We have the majority of order weights figured out. This does not include any extras you may have requested. The first shipping emails will go out Thursday or Friday, depending on how long it takes me to get that infrastructure in place.Code: [Select]MariaDB [nantucket]> select count(*) from orders where package_weight > 0\G

For most orders under 450 g (16 oz) your order will fit into a padded envelope. I shipped 90% of my Modern Selectric orders in these and have yet to have any damaged keysets, even when going to Asia or the Middle East. If you'd like, you'll be able to pay extra for a cardboard box instead. This will increase your order's weight by about 280 g (10 oz) and therefore the cost. You will make that decision when you pay for shipping, and will be able to see exactly what the cost difference is for your order.
If your order is larger than 450 g it will go into a cardboard box and you will not have that choice to make.

Awesome to hear :)
Also, question about the waiting list: Will it be First-Come-First-Serve, as in I better camp my PC and wait for the email, or will it be in order of being added to the waiting list? Thanks Skully <3
Are waiting list people able to place their order yet? I didn't actually have an account in your shop until now, only the one on helpdesk where you replied that I was added to the list.
Hi Everyone, a quick update-Thanks for the update, as always, Skully :)
I'm not quite done getting payments worked out. The paypal API isn't cooperating and the sandbox site seems to be broken. :/ I'm very close, all the calculations are coded out and I just need to be able to collect money from everyone.
The Clueboard keys arrived today, as did a whole lot of boxes and envelopes. We have all the orders weighed and ready to quote shipping prices too. I expect that Sunday or Monday you'll be able to start paying for and having orders shipped.
If you're waiting on the waiting list, I'm afraid you'll be waiting just a little longer. Don't worry, you'll have at least 4 days (I'm hoping for a week) to see your email and request your sets.

For some in real life reasons, i want to sell my Nantucket set such as:
1 x TKL
1 x Numpad
1 x Homing
1 x Specialty Keys
1 x Cape Cod
1 x Amity Island
1 x RDD 6.25U Spacebars
1 x YCF 6.25U Spacebars
I will let skully know when we're deal.
My set still on skully's hand, and just let him know to change shipping address :)

Random question: is anyone who ordered the specialty keys add-on willing to consider selling just their R3 circled dot 1.75U cap (non-stepped)?
Random question: is anyone who ordered the specialty keys add-on willing to consider selling just their R3 circled dot 1.75U cap (non-stepped)? On my Pok3r I have caps set to use the FN key, and I'd love to have both keys match. I just can't justify spending the extra money for the entire add-on for a single key. If not, it's not a huge deal; I added a couple blanks that will do the job if need be.I'm on the wait list for the specialties. If I get in on them I'd be happy to sell you that one.
In any case, I can't wait. And those pics from hapns only make it worse. I'm bad enough at the whole 'patience' thing to begin with :).

can't wait for my set. i bought the amity islands and it would have been kinda cool to have legends on the mods have diff. colors, kind of like penumbra and another set did i think.
maybe an addon pack in the future? =)
Hi Everyone, just some quick updates. Nothing too exciting today. Thanks for the update skully
I had a great time at the KiiboHD meet up last Saturday. As usual Massdrop were excellent hosts. If you were there and I didn't get a chance to talk with you it's my loss, I'm sure. Lots of great boards and great people.
On Monday I was again in San Francisco to meet with a representative from the factory that is making the new Aluminum Clueboard cases. I had a great and productive meeting and we clarified some important details regarding the finish.
Unfortunately, this means I haven't had time to work on the Nantucket shipping site. When I stopped work on it last Friday I was struggling to get the PayPal Express code working, partly due to a broken PayPal Developer Sandbox. I've decided to abandon that approach and return to the code I used last March, which means your payment won't be reflected right away.
Tonight and tomorrow I am working on Clueboard orders, which I am also behind on. I may be able to resume work tomorrow evening, but more likely I will resume that work on Thursday. My goal is to have the first payments happen no later than Friday at lunchtime.
As far as the waiting list and extra set requests go, the timeline has been pushed back a little. As soon as I push the code that allows for payment I will close requests for add-on sets and blanks. Within a day or two after that I will announce what sets were distributed and what is remaining for the retail waiting list. If you're on the retail waiting list you can expect to see some movement next week.
Thanks for your patience everyone. I didn't think it would take this long to start shipping, but we are very close.

I'm glad you asked!
I've just pushed the code that accepts payments for shipping. If you haven't requested any add-ons you will now have the option to pay for your shipping. I've tested this as much as I'm able, so please let me know if you run into any problems. I'll send email announcing this availability tomorrow, so please give it a shot between now and then if you're ready to pay.
If you've been waiting to request any add-ons I'm afraid you're too late. I'll be doling them out tomorrow or Sunday, depending on when I can verify the available stock.
If you're waiting to buy sets on the waiting list, please hold tight a little longer.
The first shipment will go out this weekend, we are very close.

Hey Skully, not sure if this is an error, or just me not knowing what's going into this price but...Show Image(http://puu.sh/rtnx6/f520d6322c.png)
Since I have some good amount of credit, shouldn't that final price go down more, or am I missing another added price?

OK, I've fixed the problem. The handling fee wasn't being added in properly for the shipping cost, only the final cost. It should add up now!

I just paid my shipping. However my deposit is 2 dollars less than the pre-order total. Is there something I need to do? Thanks for doing this drop.

I haven't sent any emails about payment being open yet. I wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly before I opened the flood gates. In the meantime, if you can access your order page and are ready to pay, do so.
I'm working as fast as I can to get to the add-ons and waiting lists.
Yet to receive email for Requested Child Kits and/or Blanks payment & Shipping payment. You and I both.
Still waiting to pay
The handling fee is not the same as shipping correct? If so how do I pay shipping from the log in screen?

Soon. That's top of my nantucket list at this point, which is just below Clueboard business. I have a lot of that to handle today, and probably a little bit tomorrow.
Paid for shipping yesterday, will we get a mail when the order has shipped? I also upgraded to box, will the International shipping method (USPS?) come with a tracking number?

I think I'll be able to assign those out tomorrow night. Today I built a couple clueboards that customers have been waiting almost 3 weeks for, and tonight I'm heading over to ship out the last of my pending parts only orders. Tomorrow morning I'll be verifying physical inventory of the nantucket add-on sets and blanks, and tomorrow afternoon I'll be doing some laser cutting for the last of my outstanding clueboard orders. If any of that takes longer than expected it may be Sunday before that happens. You will get an email letting you know when add-ons have been assigned.
Sorry this has taken so long to sort out. Classic case of Hofstadter's law. We're steadily making progress.

There are a handful of orders where automatic postage buying isn't working. I need to dig into why still. Reply to your latest order update and I'll be able to look into your case.
Good news! I've finished verifying the physical inventory and have figured out what extras can be distributed out. The good news is that the vast majority of requests can be filled, and there will be plenty of child sets left over for people on the waiting list! Tomorrow I will actually assign the requested sets that are available, and at that point everyone who was part of the GB should have the option to pay for shipping.
If you are on the waiting list to buy a base set, hold tight. Your wait with be over in a few days.

Sweet, can't wait to get my extras and pay for shipping!I, too, am ready!
Thanks Skully!
I wrote the code to assign the additional sets today. I'm going to give it 24 hours before I run it to actually assign the sets. This will give you a chance to look at my method for assigning them so you can speak up if you think anything isn't fair.
This also gives you 24 hours to email me about last minute changes to your requests. If you want to change yours please do ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Email info@clueboard.co
- Include the web address of your order page
- Include a list of every child set (not TKL, Planck, or Ergodox) you want added. You may request 1 of each.
- Include a list of every blank you want, including size, color, AND quantity.
If your request doesn't have all of that, or if I can't figure out what your request is, I will skip your email. I have 60 open email threads open, most Nantucket related. I won't have time to sort your request out before I assign out these sets, so please make sure you include everything I need in one email.
For those who are curious about the code I'm using to assign sets, it is here:Code: [Select]assigned_sets = {}
quantities = {}
total, shipped, inv = inventory()
# Pull a list of keyset requests
for request in db_query('SELECT order_number, keyset_name, quantity FROM keyset_requests order by keyset_name,order_number'):
if request['order_number'] not in assigned_sets:
# Create a place to note what sets a particular order wins
assigned_sets[request['order_number']] = []
if request['keyset_name'] not in quantities:
# Create a place to record "entry tickets"
quantities[request['keyset_name']] = []
# Create "entry tickets" for each order
for i in range(request['quantity']):
quantities[request['keyset_name']].append(request['order_number'])
# Go through our list of keysets
for keyset, order_numbers in quantities.items():
try:
in_inventory = inv[keyset.replace(' Retail', '')]
except KeyError:
continue
# Determine how many sets are available for retail
retail_available = sp_order_qty[keyset.replace(' Retail', '')] - in_inventory
# Figure out the list of winners
if retail_available < len(order_numbers):
print('*** Going through the lottery process for %s. %s < %s' % (keyset, retail_available, len(order_numbers)))
random.shuffle(order_numbers)
winners = order_numbers[:retail_available]
else:
print('*** Everyone gets a %s! %s >= %s' % (keyset, retail_available, len(order_numbers)))
winners = order_numbers
print('\t Picked %s winners for %s spots: %s' % (len(winners), retail_available, winners))
# Add the keysets to the winner's list sets
for order_number in winners:
if order_number not in assigned_sets:
assigned_sets[order_number] = []
assigned_sets[order_number].append(keyset)
And this is the output of that script. Please note that this is not the actual list of winners! This is only a test run!Code: [Select]*** Going through the lottery process for RDD 1U R2 Blanks Retail. 3 < 12

Just to confirm, the lottery is for add-ons that were not in the original order, right? (e.g. if I had a YCF 6.25 space bar in the original order, I'd still get it, even if I am not in the output of that script)
I am a little confused. Should I be concern that I have not received shipping invoice yet? I am in the original GB and have requested additional blank keys, not sets. Total of 4 blank keycaps.I have the same worry as you. I would love for Skully to get the requests from original joiners of the group buy out if the way so we can pay for shipping and get our sets.
The post about raffling requested keys, does it concern me? Any update and timeline for my case? Hope I am not the only one.

Total of 4 blank keycaps. It does concern you if you requested blank keys that other people also want where the supply is limited, so the raffle is a way to give it fairly for people who wants the keys. You can check the keys you requested here http://i.imgur.com/rNm2AbK.png

And from my understanding, our sets should start shipping right after the raffle is over where invoices will be sent out and when you have paid for it.
If the raffle indeed is for all requested kits and blanks, original GB and waiting list. I must have missed the notice that inform us about it. If so, I shouldn't have requested any in the first place.

The raffle at this point is only for original GB participants, and your blanks have more people wanting them than are available.

I trust that Skully is completely in control of everything though.

Okay, guess I am not the only one.I am a little confused. Should I be concern that I have not received shipping invoice yet? I am in the original GB and have requested additional blank keys, not sets. Total of 4 blank keycaps. It does concern you if you requested blank keys that other people also want where the supply is limited, so the raffle is a way to give it fairly for people who wants the keys. Thanks, I saw the list before. That list is for all those who joined the original GB and have requested for additional kits and blanks? If that is the case, most of the requested are not over the available stock, don't see the need to have a raffle if that is the case. Only a few items would require to be picked from a small list of names who requested.
Maybe I have mistaken, I have the impression that those who joined the original GB have first priority to request and add extra kits or blanks to their order before shipping. Raffles should be for those who are on the waiting list.
If so, ship out orders for those who joined half a year ago first.
TBH, if those blank keys I requested have to be raffled and do not get picked, I wouldn't want any of those requested keycaps. Example, I have requested 1 x 2u Blue and 1 x 2.75u Blue to be used as spacebars for VE.A. If only get picked for 1 of those keys, wouldn't need the other one, would I? At least that's my take.
If the raffle indeed is for all requested kits and blanks, original GB and waiting list. I must have missed the notice that inform us about it. If so, I shouldn't have requested any in the first place.
I'm in the same boat... if I had known that requesting additional keys would put this kind of delay on my order, I wouldn't have.
Furthermore, all the keys that I requested are well below the limit, so why am I waiting for keys that I didn't order to be raffled off?
That makes sense.I'm in the same boat... if I had known that requesting additional keys would put this kind of delay on my order, I wouldn't have.

Per Post 834 (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=79282.msg2278859#msg2278859)... 24 hours for extra debugging and for existing buyers to change their orders. Which means the list previously generated of supply vs demand will no longer be accurate, regardless of whether it showed your requested blanks as needing a lottery or not. It wouldn't be fair to dole out all of [blank x], only to find out that an additional dozen people requested it and now there's not enough to go around.
skullydazed, I am still to hear about the shipping of my set, I have emailed and posted here,
I paid for shipping on the 3rd can you please verify if my order has shipped or not?
Thanks

..., thanks Brexit for murdering the exchange rate  ...
I would like my set to be marked $20 and "gift" if that's possible
Paid up as well, would greatly appreciate if there was a favourable customs declaration on the parcel. 20$ is the limit in Germany.
I would also like mine to be set as 20 euros and gift for customs declaration if that's possible.

I wouldn't get my hopes up too much in this case, as clueboard is a business and would really get in trouble for this. Private persons can do it with little risk, but businesses risk fines if they do it.
I did not get numpad even when script says that everyone will get it. My ticket number is #232
I paid as well, but this must be the most expensive keyset I have ever bought! I am not looking forward to paying 50€ in taxes for this.. I don't figure there is a way to have the declared value reduced? ;) ;)
Hmm. According to my ordee page, I get only one key per additionally requested type althoigh I am pretty sure that I requested multiple ones for certain blanks (and I doubt that all of these had not enough available). Not sure about this but is there a way to see the original addon request and compare it with the raffle results?
I'm very sorry if I missed any notice about new waiting list.I did not get numpad even when script says that everyone will get it. My ticket number is #232
Did you request it when that opened up 4 weeks ago?

Hi Raivo xxxx,
I've added you to the waiting list.

Is there any way to fix this?
Hi there,
Noticed Originative has the base set up for sale today (and nothing else). Are we still doing the waiting list here for those who missed on the initial GB? Sorry if this was answered. I didn't see anything about this.
Yes. If you signed up for the waiting list, you won't get an option to buy until after he's finished with the GB. I'm assuming that Originativeco.com was in some way in on the order.
I'm very sorry if I missed any notice about new waiting list.
All I have is your email response:

I emailed an update noting that if you wanted to add on sets you should request them. Send an email to info@clueboard.co that includes your order page's address and I'll see what I can do.

That's because yours is one of the orders that was undercharged last March. There were a handful of orders affected by that, all were a small enough error that I decided not to collect the amount. Essentially you lucked into a $2 discount. :)D'oh. I knew about that but didn't realize the order page prices didn't reflect it. Makes sense! Thanks for the quick response as always.
Hi Everyone,Congratulations Skully! Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend <3
Busy day here today. Working on Clueboard stuff all today and most of tomorrow, and my daughter's birthday is this weekend. Some shipping will happen during this time but don't expect responses to support emails or any movement on the waiting list. I'll be able to start working on that again on Sunday.

My ergodox set came in today and it looks amazing! Thanks Skully!! :D
Just received mine! This set looks amazing!lmao I forgot to order those as well. I think skully has a lot of extras of those though so it shouldn't be a big deal.
Though, I realized that I unfortunately forgot to order a homing set. :( Does anyone happen to have an extra homing F and J keys (either deep dish or with the nub) that they might be willing to sell? Thanks!

@skullydazed if there is an easy way for me to add the homing kit onto my order before it ships, it would be really appreciated. If it is complicated, I can just order it later on. (assuming there are extras of those)

Small update- I took a sick day yesterday. I woke up with a pain running from my neck down to just below my shoulder blade and an inability to sit and type. I just got back from having that worked on, and I'm feeling much better but I'll be taking it easy the rest of today. Nantucket work (primarily sending out emails and processing the waiting list) will resume tomorrow.

I got mine today and find out there are some blue marks of my base keycaps.
And I rubbed them quite strong but no effect on the marks.
Am I the only person who got these? :(

Yea, just rub longer. For a little bigger smudge than yours it took me about 10-15min of rubbing with a cloth (used ones for monitor/glasses). Used warm breath to moisture the spot a little which helped, and interchangeably finger and nail pressure. It eventually comes off and is pristine new. However, a little shiny afterwards, but the other caps will get similarly shiny in time and I don't really notice it now.
Edit: picture
Wow... It looks amazing. Non-phone pictures later :)whoa, that's a crazy looking boardShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/pTnaq4D.jpg)
I had originally painted it, but the paint was terrible and never dried so I sanded it off. Now I am considering purposely making it all rough and beat up looking. Not sure yetWow... Got my set yesterday and it looks pretty good. :thumb: Had a couple of white keys with the blue marks that mostly came off with some rubbing.
Another thing, anyone else who got the Amity Island kit get these two caps both in Row2? Instead being one in Row1 and one in Row2.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/CoBirlB.jpg)

Waiting list emails are going out!
I had a coulple unforeseen delays (another one is coming up this afternoon :( ) but I managed to get the waiting list functionality working. If you are on the waiting list you should be receiving an email with instructions. You have until next Friday, 11 Nov 2016, to submit your requests. Once I've assigned sets out and have sent invoices, you will have 72 hours to submit payment or forfeit your spot on the waiting list.
If you miss out on round 1, there will be a second round of assignments happening on Nov 15, assuming there are any unpaid sets.
I tried to request following instructions from the email, but when I click "request" it looks like it just reloads the page and nothing else happens. Is that correct?

Any chance to know where you're at on the waiting list? I'm hoping to get a Planck kit, Amity and Nantucket extra kits.
Hurrah! Submitted mine, thank you Z for all your hard work. :thumb:
What is the timeframe please between request closure on the 11th and invoice dispatch? Just working out whether that 72hrs will fall within this pay period or the next.. :D

Weird, mine goes directly to my address, no number. I must be #1 ;)
What's the current inventory on the sets? The ergodox drop is ending soon and I want to know how likely I can get an erogodx kit. :)

Woop, got both spacebars and both blanks I requested for my full set. Excited! Any ETA on shipping? :)

You're a victim of bad timing. You're currently one of two orders that haven't shipped. The Massdrop thing sorta caught me by surprise (I thought it was gonna be a couple more days until it went up, but then it was live) so I haven't been able to start waiting list round 2 or ship orders. I will get this moved along this weekend.
Where is the round 2 signup? I'm looking for an ergodox set and would love to sign up.
Suspect I missed it :(
Ok almost there 2nd round waiting list should know by tomorrow if they get something or not right?

Paid up, I got everything except a couple of blanks! Estimated time these will ship?
Just picked up my set from the customs office and installed it. It looks great on my black Filco! When unpacking it, the gray tone of the alphas had me worried, but fully assembled its looks fantastic. Thanks for making this GB/Waiting List so easy and transparent.
However I had to bring my bill/PayPal receipt to the office (Germany) as the printed on values were apparently not sufficient. Something you might want to look into, having a proper bill attached to the parcel so customs can process it. Luckily I didn't have to pay service charges or so, just the regular 19% import duties as expected.

I'm gonna have to wait around 2 weeks for mine. I'm halfway around the world.

Skully - sent you an email a while back and just hit you up again. I am still missing a couple keys from the original TKL I got from the first batch. All my second batch stuff was complete.
Still waiting on a couple replacement keys - just wondering if you are still working through said orders. Thanks Skully.
Heya guys, not sure how I missed these. I check my watchlist a few times a day but this thread never showed up. Happened to come here to find something else and found your questions.
We've been working through the replacement keys this week. Most of them have been sent out, a few are waiting on me finding an envelope of keys I misplaced. We have it, but a lot of stuff got moved around to accommodate the holidays and I haven't had a chance to go through it yet.
We're planning to put the excess inventory on the Clueboard store in a couple days, just trying to get the replacements figured out before we do.
