San Diego Comic Con 2015 :)

But I think the Invader Zim comics are now at any comic book store that carries Oni Press stuff. Just dunno if it's all the cover variants and it won't have the SDCC exclusive one.

Weirdest thing ever - I just got an empty envelope from someone in Gridley, CA. There are a couple rips on the bottom of the envelope, about 1 cm wide. The sender included his name and return address on the envelope but I don't know who this person is, how he has my name and address, nor have I purchased anything that would fit in a 4"x9" envelope. It's quite disconcerting not knowing exactly why I even received this. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I had something similar from Linthicum, Maryland.  No clue who it was.  It was a cap with a rotary phone dial, a floppy disk, a keyhole, and one with a smiley over crossbones.

Got my JD40 in the mail yesterday and got straight putting the caps on! As my first mechanical keyboard I'd call it a fantastic way to start using MKs!  :D

I'll probably be heading to the classifieds later to do something about my shift key :p

Not anytime soon; I mostly got this to protect myself as I DL heavier weights.  I just started lifting again last August after probably a 5+ year hiatus, and my bench is still pretty far from where I would like it, so until then I probably won't be competing.

Oh ok well if you ever want to talk about lifting and stuff PM. I am thinking of competing in November of this year as my bench squat and deadlift have progressed to a decent total.

The soldering iron is a XS25. The kit is full of things, I shall miss nothing. Thank you again DanielT for your advise ;)

That's the soldering kit: http://www.antex.co.uk/soldering/toolkits/xs25-toolkit/. I asked them to swap the UK soldering iron for one with an European plug. I also bought some tip tinner: http://www.antex.co.uk/soldering/spares-accessories/tip-tinner/ and another replacement bit: http://www.antex.co.uk/soldering/replacement-bits/50-bits-for-xs,mlxs/b005660/. DanielT told me the 1.0mm tip are best suited for switches whereas the 0.5mm is better for the SMD components.

Edit: They provide a 0.5mm and 2.5mm tip on stock.

As I've just received my kit and I don't have all the part to solder atm I didn't try yet. However I saw a video on the page of the tip tinner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx-1gD60_Qg and they show how to perform it. ;)

Could have been an intercept package ie. Someone wanted to mail something that was a no no so it was sent to an address that perhaps a paid off worker had their zip range or delivery route and the product was removed. Why? You might ask so in case the drop was missed it went to an unrelated address that's not tied to either actual sender or receiver.

Could have been an intercept package ie. Someone wanted to mail something that was a no no so it was sent to an address that perhaps a paid off worker had their zip range or delivery route and the product was removed. Why? You might ask so in case the drop was missed it went to an unrelated address that's not tied to either actual sender or receiver.

Hmm, interesting. I wonder what kind of contraband was in it. It was empty with a small rip on the bottom, which could mean that the contents had been removed by the intended recipient. But that doesn't explain why I would receive the empty envelope after. Maybe USPS removed it?

This picture makes me hungry.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
