I like how most of the keyboards on that pool table are of the vintage persuasion.
Mkawa Beta SSK | IBM SSK | IBM Model AT F | IBM F 122 | IBM Unsaver | LZ-GH (62g ergo clears) | HHKB Pro2 Type-S | HHKB Pro2 | Realforce 87U-Silent (55g uniform) | Leopold FC660C | Omnikey 101 (blue alps) | Kingsaver (blue alps) | Zenith ZKB2 (green alps)

well it's basically impossible to find any of those boards on the used market, so there's not much to be excited about until we get the datasheets for the new matias parts :D

that is wrong IIRC. 356 is only cherry flavor.

I've been corrected, there were 2 ever made.

Would make sense Dr. Choi would own one lol.

AWESOME!!! super jelly! too many things to make cohesive comments, BUT where'd the beta makeymakey come from?

Trent brought that =)  We had a live band going....of chimes, cowbells and all sorts of other sounds....

Hehe yeah.  I paid for one in May, and luckily it came in the mail this morning, brought it cause its keyboard related.

I like how most of the keyboards on that pool table are of the vintage persuasion.

I brought like 10 keyboards, only one of the wasn't vintage  (KBT Race) haha

I would buy a Korean custom with ALPS switches.

She doesn't have to know.

Yeah, its not like you paid $27 for the Adesso I ordered for you on eBay and then picked up $30 worth of boxes at ma haus right after the meeting :D  --  I've gotta say tho, it was a pretty modern transaction since I got to finally use my Square reader for something haha.

EDIT: And since I had my massive haul of fujitsu peerless when I bought the four pallets of keyboards (see deskthority for my thread) I brought one to give away to whoever wanted it/had the most modest keyboard collection.  I gave it to SmallFry and now he has another to his collection.  Hopefully he will enjoy it since I have about 14 others just sitting my garage rotting, not too many people seem to like the peerless switch I've tried to sell a couple and they haven't panned out as well as I have thought.

You sir are the only person I have ever found to enjoy the peerless switch aside from a non-keyboard friend of mine haha.  Since I have so many boards I also have LOADS of spare parts and keycaps for those.  Been meaning to post something in the classifieds about selling scrap parts for em in case anyone finds one in poor shape.  And yeah they are AT so just throw a PS/2 converter on them and you are good to go.  It should be working all fine and dandy, if it isn't then I have loads of spares in the garage to swap with (some are the fancy peerless too like the Panasonic Business Partner and Epson keyboards).

If we do one in Madison I may be Abe to drive myself. Chicago driving was not going to fly for my dad. Heh. Either way we should plan for January or so, so thay we can spend all our Christmas cash. ;)

You have no idea how funny that is and actually puts things in perspective. Give yourself another 15 years and you will realize that the money flows the other direction around Christmas, that being OUT of your pocket. AHHHH, wouldn't it be great to be 18 (or so) again.

Make it the Midwest GH meet in Madison! Its still a bit of a drive from MN (~5hrs), but that probably is a close as it gets to the middle between MN/IL/IA and still be in a bigger city.

I think something could be arranged say the weekend of November 3rd?  What does everyone think.  A couple weeks more?  The next meeting we'd go to I'd only bring one or two boards due to my collection shrinking (well hoping that it'l shrink).

Maybe the weekend after?  I think the place we were at was great, a bit far away for my tastes.  Maybe trying it at emporium would be an interesting idea, if they'd be down for it.  I know that if we wait a while, the ignite gaming lounge is actually moving to a new location that is 3x the size of their current location.  I spoke with them and this means that they'll be able to host a variety of events now.

I doubt it...Prob not the best venue either, just thought it was cool this concept of beercades is catching on.

I liked the pool hall for being laid back, quiet and having plenty of space to nerd out.
