Looking good! I actually switched my HHKB back to stock caps a few days ago just because I love that clean look.

I didn't realise the white HHKB has a black stem, which make sense, no point making new stem, but somehow, that contrast made it look so good!!!

Seriously.  I'll have so many that I could probably have bought one for myself after I factor in the return shipping cost of all of them.

That's assuming I don't become entrenched in Alps and the wonders of other truly mechanical keyboards and forgo Topre altogether, becoming a heretic railing against the Toprites.

As someone who has immediately fallen in love with blue alps after thinking every other alps switch was meh, Alps are still no Topre.

To each their own.  I'm still having a hard time liking Topre with the FC660C, but that's being documented in my thread on the topic.

Personally, I didn't like 45g in the HHKB at all. I absolutely hated 45g in the Realforce. 45g was tolerable in the Type-S for me, but for the most part, I still didn't like it. Realforce 55g is god tier, and 55g in HHKB is somewhere above god tier. I can't even begin to describe the feeling...it's just really snappy, and I love it. so, in accordance with this post, I'm changing my original statement.

Very nice - the black CC on the top row and the Toxic BB add the nicest finishing touches :D
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I went historic blue for the more muted look! I already know I'll be switching it up all the time haha.

I agree! Even the red/blue swap changes the visual appeal of the board for me by a lot.

So much this.  I'll swap a single key sometimes and just stare at my board...then swap it back...and back...and back again.  Surprising how much difference one color or one 1u space swap can make.

I know this is off topic but I have a question, the Realforce 87U Tenkeyless (White/Gray) is on sale right now on elitekeyboards for 189$. Would it be better to get a HHKB Pro 2 or this Realforce that is on sale. Thanks!

It depends on what you're looking for. If your sole purpose is to own a Topre board, then go with the cheapest one. But if you want to get the best Topre board, the HHKB is the way to go.

I have both.

I know this is off topic but I have a question, the Realforce 87U Tenkeyless (White/Gray) is on sale right now on elitekeyboards for 189$. Would it be better to get a HHKB Pro 2 or this Realforce that is on sale. Thanks!

You'll also want to take into consideration that the Realforce on sale is the variable weight version, which means it's not uniform 45g throughout the keyboard. If you want consistency, I'd go with the HHKB or 55g :P

Just got my hhkb yesterday and already dental flossed it and lubed it. Feels great but some of my keys have an annoying pinging sound. Any remedies?

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Very nice collection, rowdy! Are they permanently on your keyboard or just a few keys and you swap depends on mood?
