The moment HP posted the keyboard and I thought he photoshopped it and I decided not to make a fool of him.. but now, I know I am the FOOL! If that's real caps, that is one heck of a cell shading job!!!! SUPER NICE!!!!!!

Now I wonder how 45g feels, I would think too light for me, since this feels perfect.

I dunno if I'd like it or not, I do quite like my current 45g HHKB, I've grown quite accustomed to the lightness of the typing experience. I plan to get the 87UB 55g and try it out, if I like it I'll transplant!

That eye!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So.... I got this in the mail today. Rowdy will be thrilled (Brobot not included):

The only problem is, I didn't buy this set. I ordered a Red Topre Printed but the yellow was shipped instead.

I figure I might as well try it out:

And for colour comparison:

CC Yolk Yellow set, Candy Corn and YOLO Yellow BroBot.

I still can't decide if I should keep this yellow set.... Sigh.

Wow that bottom shot is incredible!

I opened up my JP over the weekend, tried ironed soft landing pads and don't like em so when I next get a chance she is being opened up once again. Kinda wish I preferred 55g to 45g, would be fun to throw them into my JP along with re-lubing :D How different does it feel on HHKB compared to on the RF?

excuse me while i go change my pants

Am I the only one who can't stand to see "unicorn vomit" boards like that? I much prefer the clean look of a normal blank HHKB, with maybe some color thrown in.

thats not how i actually run my baord, this is my daily

its just nice to show a little flavour sometimes, this thread would be pretty stale if everyone jsut posted the same stock board

that looks very well used

ROTB was telling me when we last met up about how much you like the HHKB, and now I see the truth to that statement

He only has at least 6 of them.  :P  (can't remember the most recent count, but it might be 10?)

I'm glad you thought of me! I truly did freak out when I saw it! ^ . <

I figure I might as well try it out:

Don't say his name!  You know that summons him.  It's for his own good that he must stay away.

Sigh.

Very nice get, sir, congratulations :)

A little less orange and a little more yellow and it would be perfect :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Why thank yew! I had to open her up to do some cleaning (small spill, wasn't taking any chances with my HHKB) so the domes are still stock but I did really like the Realforce I tried at Elite Keyboards. I still can't decide if I like the heavier domes more than the lighter ones though....
