With the current run of GMK 9009 not supporting 40s kits, we from TheVan Keyboards want to offer an alternative kit for fellow 40's users. Below you will see a render of the kit, the color chips and icons are identical to the ones found on the base kit. We have already spoke to GMK and we will be selling these kits for $40 each.

This kit includes support for: MiniVans, Plancks, JD40s as well as appple M0110 Keyboards.

The product will launch when the base kit launches, estimated sometime in the coming weeks.

Minivan will use a r3 1.25 tab which is included in this kit.

Replace with a 1u mod colored quote key (R3)

Move 1u enter key from R3 to R4

I've talked to janglad and he'll advertise our set with the base set launch, also I think renders can increase number by a lot. We're willing to run it at around 100 orders since this set will work with sets like GMK Retro as well.

yeah that was my thought as well

it works with all beige sets so it might actually work out

i just don't know how many people are using cherry profile on 40% boards

but then again i don't know much about 40% boards

Convex indeed. I understand doubleshooting that would be difficult and I guess no one would like pad printing better.

We were thinking of dropping the colored 2us and  lower raise and substituting them for 4 1u convex blanks. Alpha colored ones for grid users and a green and red one for raise and lower. I think aesthetically it looks much nicer than having colored spacebars for the planck

Hopefully with the sort of form factor boards that would require things like this becoming more prevalent, the demand will start to increase for these kits to the point there is enough demand that the buys can run independent from the original sets

Awesome, we're waiting on renders now and are hoping to launch sometime today. At the latest tomorrow. We have very high interest we believe moq will happen :)

I'd like it if it got picked up by an EU proxy - Evan usually has very fair international prices so it's not the biggest problem if you can't find someone willing but still, would be nice. Maybe try and reach out to mykeyboard.EU? They're running the 9009 over here.
