Connecting two 3x6 matrices with a 9-wire USB 3.0 cable.

I want to connect two 3x6 matrices of a split keyboard, which would require 9 wires (without an I/O expander).
I plan to use a USB 3.0 type A male-to-male cable, plugged into two USB 3.0 type A receptacles.
The receptacles are cut from a donor USB 3.0 cable, and glued to the mount plate.
Wikipedia says USB 3.0 has 9 connectors (wires):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_3.0
I purchased a USB 3.0 cable expecting 9 connectors.
Today the cable arrived in the mail, but it only has 4 connectors. Here is the USB 3.0 I purchased:

Here is the cable cut open:
Is that a fraudulent cable? Or is there something about the USB 3.0 standard I am not understanding?

Sadly, some comments says it supports only USB 2.0 in the feedback of the cable you purchased. The connector might have additional 5 pins in the back of the four pins but if they are not connected to the cables, they do not work.

Thanks hanya. The seller has agreed to refund the money.
