10/10 would definitely buy!

This is one of the best keysets I've seen in a while, and it would be by my favorite brand too!

Awesome!

Suffice to say I think you've generated enough interest. Time to start looking to make it a reality?

How would these look with yellow legends?

In my opinion, it would look awful.  It could work on the purple keys, but, IMO, it really disrupts the set.

I see your point.

I just feel like its still missing something =/

idk

I like the original images with the purp and cyan text. Or what about Lime green text?

I think it is missing some novelty caps. Like maybe the staff heads...

Double shots with additional legends pad printed on the front.  I think that the Backspace arrow on the front of \| was thrown around as such an option.  And the front printing on PrtScn/Pause as well, in the OP mockup.

It is the same as Bluegaloo set and these type of legends last forever, I have an OG Cherry set with the SysRq legend printed on the side and it looks like new after all these years.

Yes, but it's very rare to see it done.  I believe there have  even been quad shots.  I don't know if GMK has the capability or is willing to do triple shots though.

As nubbinator knows it's hard to do.

The way that you cast keys makes it hard to do a split like that. Even when you try to do that for artisan it ends up looking like cheesecake swirl.

But it doesn't seem like something that is very many people would buy. It would be a big investment to reevaluate how keys are shot.

Good question though.

EDIT we probably shouldn't discuss this here.

Not sure this colorway is for me, but seeing the render from thesiscamper is  awesome, seems like we don't get a lot of high quality renders for GMK sets.

The renders are more of a new thing.  GMK runs aren't all that plentiful so it's not too surprising.

You'll have to find someone willing to break up their set.  Unless there's a consensus to run those separately, it makes no sense to break up the set like that.  If I was going to run just those caps, I'd buy them and sell them on my own.

I'm interested as long as the 1.25u & 1u blanks are in the set. Those will suffice as win key replacements that I require. But can I persuade you to add the 1.25u & 1u CODE keys for a far better looking win key replacement? :)

2.25u caps are not cheap.  Honest question, how many FC660 users are there and how many of them plan on buying this set?  Everything I've seen puts them as a tiny minority and I'm trying to keep the set as slim as possible.  If I can get 25 people with the FC600 or FC660 layout to commit right now to buying the set at $125 (I have no clue what the set will actually cost, just throwing out something consistent with others), I will consider adding it.

I'm still waiting to hear back from GMK with an update, hopefully it's soon.

I'm still trying to figure out if I can nuke the 00 key.  I think I had it for discrete numpad support, but I'm not sure how big of a group that is that would need it.

What's GMK's policy on one-offs? By that I mean, SP will make you one single key if you're willing to pay for it. If it's, say, $30 for a one-off 2.25 cap, maybe the FC660 users would be willing to pay that for compatibility so the rest of us don't have to foot the bill.

Just an idea, not sure if anyone has looked into this option.

AFAIK it's MOQ or bust.  I can ask about a limited run of blanks to see if it's feasible without mold changes on one of the doubleshot caps.  Again, this isn't something I'd commit to doing though unless I have a guaranteed 25 commits to the buy for people with that layout.

On the adding caps front, I'm sorry if I come off as an ass at all, it's not intended.  I'm just trying to keep the set as lean as possible while appealing to as many people as possible.

Keep in mind that GMK has a higher MOQ than SP and there are definite psychological hurdles to buying for people once a set goes over $100.  The difference between the set costing $115 and $120 can be enough to cause a significant drop off in people committing.

They haven't gotten back to me on it yet.  I believe Cherry still has some boards that use it, so it would be odd for it to be out of the picture.

That said, GMK has been very very slow to get back to me, so that could be the case.
