This is looking pretty good! The icon mods seem misaligned and a lot of the novelties leave a bit to be desired, but it seems like it's heading in the right direction. I like the colour palette and sublegends, too

I am very proud of the work Afresh and I put in on this set. The Cthulhu Mythos has always been a source of creative story telling for me. It was very fun reinterpreting this as a keyset. I cannot wait to see this on my own keyboard and I hope there are many others who will be excited to see it on theirs.

• try to squeeze a nov into base (they are SO good and a driver for this set)

Nautilus Nightmares wasn't a color matching error, but a conscience decision Zambu made to change the colors AFAIK. Although either way I do agree, please be extra vigilant with the color matching. Love this colorway & would love to see it finally come to life!

Insane set, will have to put off buying others to make sure I can cop this one. I love the image of the lighthouse shining on C'thulu on your header but am a little bit confused why it was changed for the novelties. To me it looks a bit like a unicorn horn instead of a lighthouse shine. Keep up the good work!

I dont think Nautilus nightmares had color standards posted from the initial interest check in Dec 2018 through GB close. Given the color standards here, i think this is a different scenario.

3 custom colors plus the 4th color sublegend on a fairly big base kit is gonna be 155 or 160 at 250 MOQ. if 500 MOQ+... whatever. If this goes to Kono at 250 MOQ...cut the base kit down and at least get it to 149.99

My 2 cents would be on 2 items.

1. I would love to see banner/header of the Lighthouse lighting up cthulhu be made into a deskmat. I like the pattern in the current deskmat design but would love the option to get a non-patterned version deskmat. The banner seems to be rectangular in shape already like the deskmat and is a good start. I would suggest rounding off the sharp lines that make Cthulhu outline into something smoother to make him seem more "tentacle-y"

2. Also is there a possibility of more novelties? Such novelties can be outlines of other elder gods or outer gods (if not other iconography or objects) in the mythos and can possibly fill up and entire R1 to replace the F-row keys for example. There should be enough gods in the original Lovecraft works to round this list. Hastur, Yog-sothoth, Nyarlathotep and Azathoth to name a few. Hastur in particular even predating Lovecraft. Hastur could be an outline of a hooded person, nyarlathotep could be humanoid with an elongated head, etc. Also the detail may be too fine but it would great to see a necronomicon sigil(however I don't know if the sigil requires permission for use).

Either way I have looking for a lovecraftian set for a while and look very much to supporting this set when it drops.

Another vote for r'lyehian subs on the base kit. Hope to see some artisan collabs if at all possible as well! Maybe Kolkrabba (archetype) or capthulhu (key capital)!?

I agree. We are working to ensure that the colors chosen for the deskmat, will match the colors of the set. The Ocean and sky with have a subtle gradation from very dark green to dark green. I will be working with our manufacturer to ensure the colors look good, and tell the story.

I have a feedback regarding the 2 R4 1u novelties. These are duplication of R4 1.25 and 1.5u so they are not unique. Also, there are 2 1u novelties for R2 and R3 which are quite redundant. I recommend putting these 2 R2/R3 1u to R1 and R4 respectively and removing the 2 duplicated R4 1u novelties. I attach a paint file to this comment so you can see my suggestion.

Right now the vote is split 70/30 so I believe we might just add another non sub-legends basekit but at the moment it's hard to say. Also, I should be ready to announce vendors this week.

If you are asking if I will color match with GMK before GB the answer is no. I will do it after as most sets do, I don't see any problems when it comes to getting these colors right and I doubt the "Nautilus Nightmares situation" that people are afraid of, happened because colors were too hard to match. To get confirmation of what exactly happened you would need to talk to Zambumon.

The design concept is amazing and the colors are great! Some thoughts:

Not a fan of the UV-printed sublegends.
The novelty enter key does look a bit like a unicorn horn, as someone else mentioned. The Cthulhu-world-eating also is a bit busy for a 1.25u key; I'd love to see the Elder Signs on 1.25u keys.

I said all along with Naut that it should be darker.  Many sets suffer from being too light in colour once produced.  I also notice that lots of sets are rendered in what looks like a no light situation which then does not truly reflect the actual colour.  I think this set should also be a little darker, it is a great set but please be cautious and check the samples, if they look light go again.  Don't make the mistake of the Nautilus Nightmares set.

Please dont. UK ISO is the common denominator as it allows for UK-Intl support in most operating systems.

Having UK-ISO in base is pretty much a 100% cop from me. It's extremely hard to justify getting a £50/60+ addon kit for 6 keys at most. and Terminal ISO only would make it worthless personally.

The design concept is amazing and the colors are great! Some thoughts:

Not a fan of the UV-printed sublegends.
The novelty enter key does look a bit like a unicorn horn, as someone else mentioned. The Cthulhu-world-eating also is a bit busy for a 1.25u key; I'd love to see the Elder Signs on 1.25u keys.
Why the mixed icon/text mods?

This looks great and I'll definitely join the group buy! I'd love it if there was a full 'Innsmouth Look" option, dropping the Latin alphas and going with the other script for legends, symbols for mods, etc. Either way though, this looks really good!

Full R'hylian basekit would be an instant buy for me even at $200. Even just R'hylian mono legend alphas would be an instant buy.

I kinda agree.  A Tab key in the Novelty kit or alternate alpha kit would be sweet!  It would defiantly make purchasing the alt alpha set worth it.

Its not so much that the cost is a ton, but it is up to the designer to choose combability to layouts that they think will be profitable (or that they like to use). There's a few other layouts that fall into this category: 3 key 40s, split backspace, 2u shift, r3/r4 pg up and pg dn. Hell, even NumPad. Supporting ALL these layouts is expensive, so GMK designers need to follow their own path some and support the layouts that they think will be most successful. More recently, 3 key 40s has been raising in popularity while HHKB has gone down. Another solution some designers will follow will be to cut back on accents.

Physical HHKB is particularly tough because a lot of HHKBers are fine without physical support. Or will buy a Nov kit.
