Buy a custom MX board, build an artisan collection I'm settled with, and try BKE domes.

I could easily say I'd be done buying by that point but I don't think that's true.

    For 2018:
    • Finally receive the Model F77.
    • Finally receive the WhiteFox.
    • Build a couple of Banana Split 60s with my Zo64 layout.
    • Build a keyboard (possibly TKL) with Kailh BOX Navy switches.
    • Build a new PC to run Ubuntu MATE.  (My first complete computer build, in fact.)

And finally…   Attempt to build this:

  • Swap out my Core's pcb for a QMK pcb once the Atom47 comes out.
  • Get some tactile switches for my XD75re and swap out the MX Whites.
  • Buy a budget minivan if/when those get released.
  • Buy a Planck Light from somewhere other than Massdrop.
  • Buy or make a wireless numpad.
  • Receive my SA Oblivion, XDA Godspeed, and GMK Mondrian orders.
  • Sell off my DSA Borealis once I get another DSA set; hopefully DSA Drifter or Discovery.
  • Finally assemble my 5x6 gamepad.
  • Finish my giant switch tester.
  • Make a nice display for my keycaps, keyboards, and my giant switch tester.
  • Not join 7 keycap groupbuys in a year again.

Now that I am completely smitten with BKE Redux domes for Topre, all other tactile MX-stemmed switches seem flimsy and lackluster to me. And so:

- Get a black Plum75 (LOVE its layout and Bluetooth feature).
- Swapped in BKE Redux domes.
- Get GMK Burgundy R2 for the Plum75.
- Sell my current 67g Zealios FC660M.
- Use the Plum75 as my travel board.
- MAYBE get a Norbaforce case for my Realforce. Or commission someone to make one for me (I know a guy 🙂 ).

3. Make a custom wrist rest for it with some spare materials
4. Make a keyboard storage solution, will take some time to design and finalise as I have little space but I have 6 weeks of school off!
5. Op-shop hunting
6. Stop spending money

1. Finish up my endgame Topre board: 10th anniversary silent 87u w/ hangul legends and light BKE domes
2. Finish up my foray into Alps: Build up a SKCL Green AEK64, get rid of leftover alps switches/caps/cases/boards
3. Finally receive and build up my Dolphin and 2 Miras
4. Slim down keyboard collection. I'll have about 15 keyboards when everything comes in. If I could cut it in half and have 7 or 8, that'd be the sweet spot for me.
5. Get back into making caps. I kinda just gave up cause I got busy with school, hopefully I'll be able to have more time for it

-Either decide on One Final Keyset for my planck or get enough plancks for the keysets I currently have or will be getting. It's between XDA Canvas, GMK Laser, and SA Oblivion. They're all such beautiful sets. I'm probably just going to build more plancks. The solution to every problem is always more plancks.

-Settle on an office keyboard. Planck, Let's Split, Ultimate Hacking Keyboard, Two Plancks, or a 65%. I think the answer is obviously options 1 and 4. Three plancks baby.

My current goal for 2018 would be to "complete" my RF 88UB.

Norbaforce tactical black case, BKE Heavy domes, lubed and Hypersphere'd.

Oh, and if someone happens to make some Topre to MX sliders that are on par with the stock sliders, I'd also be all over that.  :p

Norbaforce (88UB, BKE Heavy, silenced), Noxary XRF (stock 87UB, 55g) Singa R2 (retooled MX Blacks w/ 68g catweewee springs), LZ GH V2 (V1 Zealios 67g), RAMA U80-A (Holy GSUS)

Achieve end game  :D... Like that'll ever happen.

My list is probably...
  • Get my hands on a decent alu wkl tkl board
  • Handwire my first board
  • Build a macropad (may combine this with the one above)
  • Hit 1000 posts on GH ;)
  • 3D print a home for my budding switch collection... and buy more of course.

Don't temp me dammit. After Yuri, Laser, an SSK, and AEK64 my wallet can't handle any more right now. Hence, plans for 2018..... LATE 2018. I'll probably wait out for Keycult No. 2 TKL.

Geekhack layaway should really be a thing. @Hoff... I'm pretty sure you could turn profit off GH by running a loan operation.

1) Put my RF purple silent sliders into my two 55g 87u's and my RF 23u.
2) Mod the left control of the 87u's to make them silent.
3) Make my RF 23u 55g.
4) Try some of the BKE Redux domes.

1. Receive GMK Laser, SA Carbon, MT3 /dev/tty, and Pearl40% with no issues
2. Finally start on my G81-to-G80/handwire mod project
3. Build one or two new keyboards otherwise
4. Host more Finland/Helsinki MKB meetups (one held this year and next one planned already!)
5. Try not to spend too much on keyboard stuff, went a little overboard a few times in 2017.

Current:
    Ducky DK9008P [MX Blues] | WASD V2 TKL [MX Blues] | r63 (Satan 60% DIY) [Gateron Browns] | BananaSplit 60% [Gateron Greens] | UK78 [67g Zealios] | Infinity ErgoDox [MX Clears] | Pearl 40% [78g Zealios] | G81-3000
Coming up:
DZ60/SKB60-WKL [100g MX Silent Blacks] | G81-3000 [Box Navies] Handwire
IC/GB:
GMK Strogg | G81/80-3000 MX metal plate

Buy:
  • Rebuild/update my brother's Model M birthday board and give it to him on his birthday in April.
  • Get a hold of a decent G80-1800...
    • to be rebuilt with Box Oranges
    • and DCS Sanctuary (PM me if you're selling!)
  • Get a Vortex Vibe

Sell:
  • Repackage all my unused sets, novelties, and crap bag stuff and sell them
  • Repair an RGB LED on a cheap 68-key board and sell it off
  • Get a replacement top shell for my Kinesis and sell it.

1. I'd like to finally learn more CAD and design this keyboard case I've had in my mind for the longest time
2. Design my first keyset and maybe push it to GB
3. Make a silent Zealios build for work!
4. Go to more meetups and meet more cool people

1. Get dark blue Norbauer aluminum case for my last NovaTouch. Awaiting powder coating.
2. Design a killer Mercury Rocketeer group buy bundle for MassDrop. In progress.
3. Wait for the following keycap sets to be made/delivered:
    A. Round 6 phase 2 (Honeywell colors) - Being packed by 7bit as we speak.
    B. /dev/tty - Currently in production.
    C. SA Carbon
    D. SA Oblivion
    E. DSA PuLSE
4. Paint the top case frame of my "Honeywell" Topre RealForce RGB board white.
5. Paint one Plum numpad dark blue and another one dark gray (these are to be paired with the NovaTouches).

Some of these goals are rollover goals from 2017.

I would like to start using more full sized keyboards so that I can buy more vintage keyboards to use.

hah. as i got my 910 already there's no need for another 60-65%. but i might join SKBXX for the giggles tho. that case is cool.
SKBXX too expensive for me. got a second 910 coming as well.

pretty much i'm gonna be so finished for keyboards at 2017. maybe not gonna stop at keycaps, but pretty much for the keyboard. still on the game. retiring is a myth.
in the verge of retiring, but i'd probably buy things again, so yeah :))

Also, added for 2018:

- Sanctuary PBT keycaps GB, if approved by TS at IC thread.
