Getting Windows 11 to recognize each button on a 4-button 26-year-old trackball?

Same reason they use Win10.

I went from 7 to 10 without much drama, but about the time 11 came out I retired, and switched over to Linux Mint on both desktop and laptop.
There are still hardware issues, *cough* sound card *cough* scanner *cough* but I have resigned myself to just living with them.
