Amazing colorway for sure.

I figured it'd be worth pointing out that KAM is very shiny. Here are some pics of the KAM Wraith samples, courtesy of Biip, as well as pics of KAM Starry Night (the first KAM set to be run, currently shipping) by zFrontier:

Some people may like this and some may not. I personally think the shine is quite interesting and could work in a set's favor. However, I'm not sure if it's a match for the Aquanaut colorway.

Might be perfect to suggest the shimmer of water. I’d like to see it.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have to admit that the shine is a pretty big turn-off for me.

Have you seen the samples of KAM Wraith? Are you aware they shine like ABS that’s been typed on for ten years? Just checking....

I think it's an interesting feature as well. It might work in favor of this set indeed. Now things like KAM Dasher or KAM Honeywell become quite interesting too as they really profit from smooth / shiny surfaces.

I’m wondering why keyreaxrive did this. I mean I could see making shiny an option but not a feature. People in this community associate shine with abc wear and tear. Often preferring not because it doesn’t shine. So why make a mold that can only make keys that look like 3 year used abs keys?

Also not bothered about the shine either. I actually like the look and feel of the smooth surface on SA Vilebloom, that has shined up within a couple of months

Just make thia happen! Oh, then again I remembered it is supposed to be run by zFrontier, and that is a big turn off.

The mods on this set are so cute and the orange with the gradient blue are a great contrast. Maybe someone can make this work out one day.

Any update on this? Love the colors and would love a Colevrak option (so colors aren't interspersed). I think biip got some intel on a non-shiny version of KAM for the Wraith IC, btw.

I would also prefer non-shiny keys. To me, a shiny plastic looks cheaper than a mat one. That's totally subjective, I know.

I'm also wondering how shiny keys would look in a well lit office. Might be disturbing, might not 🤔

I'd also be in! Love the gradient. If the shiny finish is the problem (not for me, I'd actually like one shiny set) it doesn't need to be - KAM Wraith will have new matte moulds made. Starts in 10 days.

I'd also like to see if this is happening. I love this design and it'd be a shame if it wasn't brought to production.

As a side note, seeing all the people complaining about KAM and being shiny, I don't believe this is universally the case. I have a KAT set and it isn't shiny in the slightest. I'm guessing it depends on what material they use and how its produced, but I'm pretty sure shininess would be a non-issue if its not what the designer wants.

My understanding is that surface finish is more a product of the mold than the material and that KAM is just inherently shiny whereas KAT is not, but I could be wrong. I would very much prefer a matte finish to shiny. I'm still interested in this set, but my hopes aren't high; it definitely seems dead.
