About:

LZ(LifeZone) modified the LZ-S case to make the LZ-GH case. This case has 2 different height which can be change by reversing the bar feet.


This keyboard is available in 2 different versions and 3 different colors.

Switch Plate - you can mod switches without desoldering!
TRiK v1.1 Full LED PCB
Cherry PCB mount stabs for this keyboard

Invoices will be sent ASAP and 12 week lead time to create keyboard once payment is sent to the CNC shop. If you cannot do this, please don't submit an order and let someone else get a chance at it.

I have to exhibit spending control, so many keyboards in a short period of time, an hour ago i was going going to try to get one of these for leetness factor. But i need to not rack up so much money on credit card in a short period of time and i wouldn't appreciate it like other people would.

Q2: How are plate mount switches or PCB mount switches possible?  I thought it was one or the other?

Q3: I bought two phantoms and ordered plates and switches for both of them from prof.  I really like the LZ, but I'm torn.  Can I get a similar case for the phantom?  What is the difference between the two?  Can someone push me one way or the other off the fence?

boost is designing an alu case for Phantom. No need to buy LZ-GH just for case.

Phantom may or may not fit in this LZ-GH case, due to the added bulk of the Teensy on the back of the Phantom PCB.

$20 shipping + however much the split international shipping from Korean to Boost.

If a PCB supports PCB-mounted switches, it can accept PCB-mounted switches AND plate-mounted, but not the other way around. The only difference is that PCB-mounted switches has 2 extra plastic pins that go through the PCB, while plate-mounted switches don't. You can still install switches into the PCB/plate without the two plastic legs.

If you need a fully built TKL with aluminum case, these LZ will finish faster. Boost just started looking into the aluminum TKL case, so it'll be at least a few months until there is a fully functional prototype. Then probably at least another few months to take orders, meet MOQ, and collect payment, and another month or two for production. That's assuming it'll make it all the way through final production. These LZ cases are more "sure"

I just feel like answering even though I am not sure, boost will give you more information
Q1: I think you will be charged $340 and boost will charge shipping later on when he has more information on it.
Q2: (From what I understand) Plate mount and pcb mount don't have much difference except pcb mount has two legs to be able to mount on pcb. Otherwise you can remove the legs and it could function for plate mount.
Q3: This is up to you, phantom can support the same layouts that the LZ has. LZ is a specific design for the case as you can see above while phantom will depend on what boost/others design of it. There won't be much difference in terms of functionality. As far as I understand, phantom pcb quality is at the top so you won't have to worry about that.

do you need special keys for the 86 or the 84?

I think the only special caps in a sense are the modifiers. They aren't the typical 1.25 size. I think the 84 is 1.5x only with 7x spacebar and the 86 is 1.5x and 1x with 7x spacebar. A tsangan kit would fix you up for the right caps I believe.
