Interest Checks / Re: [IC] Nooir - N1 | A Suspension Mounted Keyboard!

Why is the special edition twice the price of the "regular" one, is it just the PVD?

Also this engraving:

(Attachment Link)

Is hilarious and feels completely antithetical to the rest of the design: Downbeat hand-drawn craft aesthetics vs. Functional, sci-fi industrial

In the IC stage, we just want to try writing a paragraph here to see what it looks like in terms of visual aesthetics,  without paying too much attention to the content of this sentence.( oh man you're actually reading this) Don't worry this sentence will not be show on the keyboard :D

Special editions have extremely high costs due to the manufacturing difficulty. The water-like part is made by a single block of metal, and it's not die-cast (Just like the Space one). Also, this one will need hand-polishing; if PVD fails, we have to recycle the material and start over again.

Man you guys are pumping out some unique boards. Bravo. Will this one allow us to opt out of the script engraving like you mentioned about the N1?
THX! Sure np, you can choose the backplate with or without Latin scrip. Some of the Engraved script on the front were customised, will not be on the brand-new keyboard.

Since there is no left function position in this HHKB layout, how are you accessing layers?
This keyboard will be QMK and VIA compatible meaning you can rebind any key to whatever you want. You could even have 3 left function keys if you desire by using the two keys to the left of the spacebar and where capslock is located.

anyone watching Shōgun?
The new Shogun is just OK. It is dark, rainy, muddy, with more sex and blood.
Shot in British Columbia, so it does not look quite like Japan, and then lots of CGI on top of that, and then filter/colour grading on top of that to make it look like a gloomy day, which makes it look even more fake.

The new Blackthorne is mostly a bumbling idiot, and the new Mariko just looks smug all the time. The worst of the whole cast IMHO. Some good performances by Japanese actors in smaller roles.
The actual star of the show is Hiroyuki Sanada as the titular Shogun-to-be. (and he is also a producer)
There is more Japanese politics, characters and intrigue than in the old show (that supposedly had been left out then, but are in the book. I can't quite remember)

Finished Constellation. It was... silly. Nothing spectacular, at least for me personally. There were moments when I thought it might be interesting, but then it all went down to some well known subject and did not bring anything new.

tp?

Tp was already disappointed in constellation,  it just turned bland half way through.

Watch Xmen 97, only 3 episodes, but it takes us back to the golden age of animated batman.
