Hey All,
Joined the site. Found it to my horror as I feel it's going to have a very negative effect on my bank balance!
Anyway, James here from little place called Frome in the South West of the UK. Very near to Glastonbury which I'm sure more of you will have heard of.
I'm a software engineer by trade so spend an inordinate amount of my life using keyboards. I've been a fan a mechanical keyboards for a very long time but have only in the last 5 or so years started buying them. My first experience was on an IBM Model F in the mid 1990s. Man I fell in love.
These days I have a very small collection:
Cherry S-1800 (Blurhg)
Corsair K70 RGB Lux (complete with dodgy switches) (Red)
Ducky Shine 3 TKL (Blue)
Ducky Shine 6 (Full size) (Blue)
I would love to embrace the 60% shenanigans but I need a numpad and a separate one just doesn't appeal. I'm currently really eyeing up the Kira
https://kono.store/products/kira-mechanical-keyboard as it's compact and includes a numpad. Kudos to the designers.
Anyway, as you can see I'm a massive Ducky fan. For me they make some seriously nice pre-built keyboards. The Shine 3 has been used A LOT and it still feels the same as the day I bought it, save for some natural switch aging (which is no bad thing at all).
Anyway, I'll stop waffling now. See you around.
Jammer
