We’ve teamed up with M•ONE studio to bring a great sounding, decently flexy, CNC machined aluminum keyboard that offers a premium experience at a budget friendly price. Simple elegance was the central theme behind Gingko65. The M•ONE team kept the exterior features subtle yet interesting. A lot of effort was put into the internal structure design to make sure it offers a very pleasant typing experience and sound. Instead of experimenting with a novel idea, the team focused on making sure the tried and tested elements of a great isolation gasket mount board were implemented to perfection.

From the flex cuts on the PCB, the leaf spring tabs on the plate to the optional PE foam that's been popular of late, they’ve worked tirelessly on this keyboard for the past six months to bring you a bouncy typing experience that does not sound hollow. After many prototypes and adjustments, the design is finally complete and they are ready to show the keyboard to the world. We hope you’ll see their attention to details and craftsmanship in the final product.

Please feel free to comment and let us know your ideas too!

I really feel like there isn't enough foam in your keyboard. There's only plate foam, switch foam, stabilizer foam and case foam along with foam gaskets. Have you looked into making the case and plate out of foam as well?

I really enjoyed the Auroras Multi-Layout Hot-Swap Option - too bad you don't support that here.

Is PE foam between PCB and Switch a new trend? Seems like it's only going to make things mushed. Any hands on experience?

From our own test, it's flexy enough, lt's wait a bit for streamers' feedback too.

More foam than a dalgona coffee. I'd be curious to _hear_ a prototype though. I'd imagine it would sounds pretty flat or muted

weekends during a father and son plastic model by bandai building

dad: son, we're gonna have to delay building our master grade gundam barbatos by bandai today. i know you have been looking forward to this weekend.. you have to help me tear up these foam pieces first. it will be like our plastic plamo weekend tradition but its for my keyboard, okay? please understand..

son: i dont think they included an instruction manual for all these pieces of foam after we take them out from the runner, dad. there's just a lot of it..

dad: i know son but there's only 95 pieces.. that's not a lot compared to our master grade gundam barbatos by bandai. i think we just have to put them inside.. its supposedly going to make the keyboard sound nice.. im not sure..

son: don't you think its overkill dad?

dad: so did what gjallarhorn when they sent battalions to defeat Tekkadan. WE WATCHED THIS! you even cried! besides its what everyone is doing. it must be right. it must be right.

son: okay dad! lets do it! but why do people do it?

dad: don't question greatness okay? i'm your dad, and if i say it sounds nice.. it sounds nice.

son: okay...  :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Lots of hate on the amount of foam included. It seems to be optional for the build though. Remember boys, jelly epoch came with a similar amount of foam.

No hate for foam from me. If it makes it sound better then a $600 board then I'm all for it.

The prototype board sounded pretty good on Andy's stream today!

Any chance of a blue option (maybe with a silver or E-white bottom)?

A lot of buzzword terms shoved together into a single mess. Leaf spring ? gasket mount? PE foam?
It doesn't do it for me; no character.

In the future I may regret commenting this.

it would be nice if you add navy to the colors selection, also can you change the default plate or you must buy a different  plate as an addon ?

+1 for a multi-layout, hot swap PCB

Also, multi-layout is the same from IKKI68, right? (split backspace, split right shift, split left shift, split spacebars and ISO enter)

Yes, they are optional, you can choose the foams you want.

So there's a cheaper version available without the foam? Otherwise it's not optional - you have to pay for it even if you don't want it.

Hi Ckeeb,

I'm a relative newbie to mech keyboards. Just wanted to thank you and your team for this board - it looks superb, and is more affordable than most boards of this quality. If you ever repeat the GB, would it be ok to consider a one in a midnight blue/ midnight purple colour way, please? I think it might be popular - it was requested several times above. l certainly would buy one in a heartbeat in that colour. (Perhaps a combination of a midnight purple top, and silver bottom - would look gorgeous!). I think NovelKeys has a NK65 board in that colour https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/3099/8088/products/NK65_ALU_Purple_Bottom_3000x.jpg?v=1630602349

Anyway, just wanted to add my vote for a midnight purple or blue, if there is a Series 2 for Gingko65. Good luck with the GB, and thanks again for bringing out such a nice board!
