+1 for purple accents

Agree with purple accents, think that would look nice. There were also some purple 1.5u mods that could be cool, but too niche to add, Remember seeing it on a board with a cool nightcap on it, I'll link it if I find it.

Also 200 posts on the IC so must be popular :)

Everything about this set is better than DCX Hyperfuse. I hope this eventually goes to GB.

DCS Soware Revival hit it's MOQ without extras, so DCS Superweld seems possible at a higher MOQ.

Personally, I'd buy a set or two.

keyboard market 10 months ago is not the same as the market now, we are now getting 40% discounts on in-stock GMK sets, no one is buying anything let along joining a 2 year GB

Firstly, it was actually a bit over 9 months ago when NovelKeys first offered $99 in-stock GMK base kits.

Secondly, my opinion is that DCS Superweld has a lot more interest than DCS Soware Revival.

I agree the market has slowed down significantly. But that doesn't mean a good set can't go to GB.

Anyway, read the room, and join in on the circlejerk in this thread.

I definitely wouldn't call it promising, but for smaller run it's alright

GBs are much harder to sell than in 2020-2021 and DCS even less so, so I guess there wasn't enough interest in order to do a full run.

Of course I would love to see an official run with the full kitting (which was really good) but I would rather the set run at all than never, so if some kitting reductions need to be done to bring down costs then it kinda has too.

It's a shame that numpad was removed though and hopefully a full run could happen eventually.

Underwhelming for the price, and it's lacking a R1 delete  :(
I'm a sucker for this cw so I might commit anyway ...

yeah it is pretty rough, dcs pricing is really bad at low moq. Like Adelscott said I also love how the set looks so I might pick up a set. Just a shame that dcs isn't as popular as gmk, cause it is really nice.

If this is the kitting you wanna go with, it'd be better if this stayed on indefinite hiatus.

No 6.25u bottom row but cyan Tsangan? Really needs an R1 delete for 65% too. I'm not into this as proposed (if the image above is accurate).

I second this. I know SP has notoriously high prices at low MOQ, but $110 for this will just set a bad precedent. If there is enough of you guys that just have to have this it would be best done as a private GB.

I’d be fine paying $150 for a useable kit. $110 for tkl only but imo a bad tkl kit at that is just very mediocre at best.

dcs pricing is really bad at low moq.

that doesn't make sense, it is not like they are creating a new mold for this, just brought DCS 9009 for $75 from cannonkeys, so the actual cost for a full base kit w/num and iso is around $50

I am asking why is their low moq price so high when the actual production cost is low, reading comprehension is not strong in you

that was clearance price by cannonkeys, the retail price was 120 usd for 200moq and the original extras price was 140ish

I am asking why is their low moq price so high when the actual production cost is low

it's economy of scale, low moqs have less sets they can spread the price across while higher moqs have more. I'd imagine the new kitting of dcs superweld has a really low moq which is why the price has to be like that.

Also keep in mind that the dcs superweld price is similar to other sets that had this lower kitting sets like soware revival.

At least Soware has R1 delete and F13 where this kit has a whole accent bottom row. (Although I think Soware is equally as horrible as a kit at €135 for EU buyers.)

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen dcs low moq pricings and they are garbage. But this kit can’t even properly be used on a 60% with split backspace nor a 65/75% (especially so if you consider that most of the current 65/75% boards have 1.25u mods in the bottom row).

The market is rough, dcs sets are even rougher since imo they’re a niche market, but you went to such a barebones kit that’s it’s incredibly hard to justify buying imo. I’d advise to go more towards the kitting of DCS Alchemy.

How come the person who posted this literally as Key Kobo's logo as their icon?

Also, pretty sad to see 6.25u bottom row isn't even being voted on as so much as a suggestion. Why is that being so overlooked? 65%s do in reality exist.

Base kit sales would likely increase if you offered a Numpad child kit.

While this graph is a few years old, the take rate probably hasn't changed much. For example:
   MW Hayastan 4/'23 = 23%
   GMK Abyssal 3/'23 = 22%
   KAMistry 11/'22 = 60%

While there is no way to say how many would have backed out without numpad support, I'm sure it was make or break for some.

Accent 7u bottom row instead of 6.25u is still so funny to me. I almost don't believe the arrogance of pushing ahead with such bad kitting.
